Very nice house with sauna and jacuzzi tub tub. There is a large terrace with a magnificent view over the mountains. Parking is not a problem. The kitchen could use a little more utensils, but they will be retrofitted soon. Conclusion: the house is wonderful place for a quiet holiday to hike and relax.

The host was great, he was very polite and was ready to adapt to our needs. The house was very cozy and beautiful. The location is great if you are planing to travel by car otherwise it is quite remote.

We had a very nice time in the cottage. The two children enjoyed the animals & the many play opportunities on the outdoor area. It was all very clean and well maintained and even more beautiful than in the pictures. Thanks to the sauna and hot tub, we were able to relax well and the view was fantastic on all sides!

Actually, you could describe the accommodation as 2-3 residential units, because the bedrooms were spread over 3 levels. So you also enjoy a lot of privacy in group. Everything was very clean, kitchen well equipped. The only point that would be in need of improvement is a shower next to the sauna. For this you had to go back into the house and either go up or down a floor. But as I said, it is only a suggestion. Thanks for everything.

Super nice contact, answers came very quickly and in detail. Very cozy house, looks original better and bigger than in the photos. Everything clean and beautiful clock yet modern. I only heated and cooked with wood, that was awesome. Super great area where you can experience great tours (we in winter with lots of snow). We made beautiful snowshoe tours and everything in the immediate vicinity. Very nice neighbors who are there to help you, where we were also invited to Christmas Eve, such a thing is not self-evident. Thank you for these wonderful quiet beautiful days in the house. The house and walking is highly recommended.

My partner and I enjoyed the stay in the Holzknechthütte very much. The accommodation is rustic and simple and still offers some comfort (warm water for the outdoor bathtub, small refrigerator, WiFi, electric stove and wood stove, running cold water in the hut, kettle, pots and pans, dishes). The location is quiet, surrounded by nature, and yet easily accessible: by car via Forststraße or on foot from Lunz am See via the beautiful and interesting railway adventure trail (duration approx. 1.5 hours). The contact person on site was very accommodating and friendly. When it rains, it is a bit cramped in the hut, but it is well insulated and remained warm even in cool temperatures.

Even before arrival, all the important information was provided by the owner, the check-in was simple and contactless. We were answered super quickly and kindly with questions. All the important utensils were found in the cabin (wood for heating, bowls for dogs, dishes and everything necessary for cleaning). Through game boxes, binoculars, carving knives and the cozy submission, you immediately felt comfortable. During our stay from Friday to Sunday, the volume of the race track (Red Bull Ring) was noticeable every day, we did not know that it was so loud and next time we would inquire in advance whether events will take place or not. We were not aware that the secondary house is so close to us due to the pictures of the ad, but this was not inhabited during our stay and was therefore not disturbing. All in all, the stay was very relaxing and the area was very nice to explore, especially with dogs.

Located near the entrance of hiking trails, it’s ideal for nature lovers. The real highlight, though, is the host, Teresa. She’s incredibly kind and helpful, making sure you have everything you need. Whether you’re looking for a snug winter escape or a serene nature retreat, this cabin has it all. Highly recommend!

We had a wonderful stay at Romana's Hütte in Grundlsee! The cabin was spotless, beautifully maintained, and equipped with everything we could possibly need. Nestled in peaceful and stunning natural surroundings, it was the perfect escape. The area itself is magnificent—ideal for anyone looking to relax or explore nature. Romana, the host, was kind and attentive, making sure everything was perfect throughout our stay. We definitely recommend this place and would love to come back again!

If you want to have absolute peace and a breathtaking view, this is the place to be! The cabin is located at an altitude of 1600 meters, surrounded by fields, in the back you have a really great and captivating view of a mountain panorama. In the immediate vicinity is only the Leonhardhütte. All year round. But what was absolutely not disturbing due to a small hill between the properties, especially since only a few hikers got lost there during our visit. The cabin is comfortably furnished. A little "back to the roots" to a high standard. Kitchen fully equipped. Due to the wood-heated kitchen oven, it warmed up quite quickly and you always have hot water on the stove for flushing, etc. Electricity and hot water are available via the Solar system with battery storage. We had a week of sun and always enough "power"! The mattresses were too soft for us. Which led to a lack of sleep. We were there in early March 2025 and will be back!

It’s the perfect place for a really quiet weekend getaway. Very private location in the middle of the mountains and extremely kid friendly. The absolute best if you want to disconnect for a few days.

Despite the initial difficulties we had a wonderful stay. Riff is a generous host, and easy to communicate with, problems were promptly addressed and quickly solved. The place itself is magical, the emptiness of the village that others found spooky actually was uplifting for us, and the quietness and the beauty of the mountains offered perfect immersion and winding down. The house is lovely and cosy, the upper store is a child’s dream - my son enjoyed it immensely. We are regulars to the area, know the neighboring ski-resort very well and beside skiing we enjoyed the local cuisine very much, or sometimes just grabbed a pizza from the village down in the valley. A beautiful mountain cabin where you don't miss anything. Anna was a very accommodating host. We immediately felt comfortable and were able to fully enjoy the stay. I would be happy to come back.

It was such a nice place, also exactly as described. The location was also perfect for hiking somewhere else every day and exploring the area. Our hosts were also super nice and it was all very straightforward. We will be happy to come back.🌞

I can fully recommend the place. I was looking for some peace and quiet and you definitely have it here - incl. Splashing of a stream and a few animals living on the farm. The accommodation is located in the courtyard of the hosts and everything you need or could need is there (fully equipped kitchen, even spices are there, for example, the bathroom with washing machine and bathtub). Otherwise, it is worth mentioning that the bed is really very comfortable - I rarely sleep as well away from home as at home, but that was the case here. Everything was very well maintained and clean. I lacked nothing, the hosts are always available if you need anything or have questions. And even if the accommodation is on the same property as the host, you are "on your own".

We were two with a dog for a week in the Chalet Herke and were thrilled! It is a super beautiful accommodation, with a fantastic view of the valley and very good amenities. Host Erwin also greeted us very kindly and was always easy to reach for questions or tips. Our Labrador lady also felt completely comfortable and was able to run around freely thanks to the fence. This will certainly not be our last visit to Hartelsberg!

The Hut was very cosy and the night quiet even if the road isn't that far. it's nice to be able to refresh in the Stream nearby + and having a wind fire is always a plus!

The place is special. We had great days. Cows and game were a lot of fun for us and the view is fantastic. We had nice game evenings at the big table and also enjoyed the bonfires in the fire pit! As already written by others, you should plan your shopping well or love curvy mountain routes very much. Getting there with Googlemaps works if you drive around on the left. The other direction should only take one minute longer but ends on a forest path on a chain. Garmin didn't work either. You have to live with low water pressure. Showering with long hair is therefore rather difficult. And the stairs creak violently. We can recommend the hike to the Harpfstubn. If you always want to stay at the top of the mountain an absolute recommendation!

Gitti has been the perfect host for the perfect house. We had an amazing stay with the family and really enjoyed spending time in such a tranquil place. We are most definitely coming back!
