Oguri went over the top to be helpful, he was a genuinely great host, he helped us navigate, brought over his own personal bike when one bike was being used. very easy biking town, like most Japanese towns. There were plenty of restaurants near by, and having the onsen right down the road was my favorite in all of my time in japan! The amenities with the apt were great, comfy bed, TV, water filter for water which was a perk. The bath was sweet and also to have access to laundry in your room was so very helpful!

The property is highly recommended. Oguri is a very friendly and professional host who runs his place impeccably clean and tidy. We really enjoyed it there. Only we underestimated the distance to the center of Kyoto a little, as it takes less than 45 minutes by train to get there. Everything else you need can be found in the immediate vicinity. Thank you for the hospitality and we will be happy to come back.✌️

Perfect spot for Kyoto exploration! Yukari was very friendly, and it was amazing to be able to rent bikes.

Oguri's place is a short walk from Kintetsu's Kutsukawa station, which made it a wonderful place to stay for my time in the Uji/Kyoto area. There was some road noise from the active street, but earplugs were more than enough to cover me during the night (even when I am a very light sleeper) Oguri was kind and very proactive with getting me checked in, even when I was very late with my check-in and late messages.

I loved staying here, Oguri was very proactive in making sure I knew the directions to the unit. He also has a great lists of recommendations in the nearby area, personally I tried his favorite ramen shop and I loved it!! Do not hesitate to book with Oguri!

Loved the room! nice and spacious compared to other places we stayed in Tokyo and Osaka. location is a bit out of the way from tourist spots but you can access everything you need to from nijo station or via bus.

This is one of the best places we’ve found through Airbnb. Everything is as described. The size of the apartment is perfect for two adults and one child - European standards. The kitchen is just what we need for a light breakfast/lunch. The level of cleanliness was one of the best we have ever seen. The location is perfect, close to the metro, train station and several bus stops. The communication through the application was perfect, only at the reception there was a nice Japanese girl who was struggling a bit with her English but she was very kind and helpful. Overall great Japanese experience and would definitely recommend this place. We had a wonderful week in Kyoto and I am sure this hotel was a big part of that experience.

The room was equipped with two big beds, with two stools and enough towels and toothbrushes - that was really great. The toilet was a small single room with sink on the cistern - that was also super convenient. The shower was nice and big and there was everything you needed - shampoo, body lotion, conditioner and a small hairdryer. It was quiet in and around the place. On the top floor there was even an area where you could wash and dry laundry. There was also a small smoking area there. There was a beverage machine just across the street and with a 5-minute walk you had arrived at the train station or at two different supermarkets. So you were absolutely carefree.

Nice, very clean room with a central location- walkable to kyoto station and other train/bus stops. Nice to have kitchen facilities and a table in a hotel environment. Despite the central location it was well insulated from the outside world and therefore very peaceful. Enjoyed my stay and would definitely return.

the place is spacious, clean and convenient for 6 people to stay comfortably. it is within 5 minutes walk to Lawson convenient store, a few restaurants and a bus stop to get you to the sightseeing places.

Great place to stay in Kyoto. Bus stations are close and the location is a little far from the main areas but it was nice and peaceful. Bus stations ran all night so no problem having late night outs

Tatsuya’s place in Kyoto was clean, well-equipped, and affordable and overall, it served its purpose for our stay. The host was incredibly responsive and kind, even leaving us chocolates and a some suggested activities, which was a thoughtful touch. The twin beds were a bit uncomfortable, but manageable. The location is about a 10–12 minute walk from the train station, which can feel much longer on a hot, humid day, especially when pulling luggage. One thing to note is that the apartment is behind an adult club, which made the area feel a bit sketchy at night. While the price was great, the surrounding environment wasn’t ideal for my personal comfort.

The host was very responsive, they said the check in time was 10pm and extended it for us for an affordable extra fee, very polite. Place was great, good shower, hot water, no strange smells, very clean. Surrounding neighborhood was very peaceful, not far from stations or convenience stores. Met expectations perfectly at a good price.

Great place, with an amazing kitchen. A perfect way for a group of people or a family to spend time together in Kyoto and feel more like staying in an apartment than in a hotel. Note that there are two "bedrooms" -- the small bedroom is fully private, has a door and is near the apartment entrance. The large bedroom doesn't have a door and is mostly private but opens part of the way to the living room. It was very comfortable for us -- we were an adult couple who took the small bedroom with the door, while our single friend took the large bedroom which was semi-private and partially open to the living room. Great internet, lots of bottled water included, great shower (one shower/bathtub).

Good access from Kyoto Shijo.There are 4 bunk beds in the room, but the beds on the upper level are difficult to climb.It is a mixed room, but the shower is in the room.
