Akkandi Veedu - A Perfect Getaway in Kodai! I recently visited Akkandi Veedu in Kodai, and it was an unforgettable experience! The hosts, Viji, Sutharshan, Thangam, and Ramesh, were incredibly kind and attentive, making us feel right at home. The place was immaculate, just as beautiful as shown in the pictures. Their flexibility with check-in and check-out was much appreciated, allowing us to relax without stress. I‘d definitely recommend Akkandi Veedu! I’m already looking forward to returning for another amazing stay!

Nicely built property in mid of greens

Had an amazing stay at Sera's. It's a little far from the city, so it's super quiet and beautiful. You can hear and see the waterfall right from your room. Plus, there's Sera's Cafe on top of the hill with a great view and tasty snacks. Must stay!

A Perfect Family Getaway! We had a wonderful stay at Hari’s Airbnb with our family of nine. The property was clean, peaceful, and beautifully maintained—truly a perfect place for a family retreat. Cleanliness:Spotless! The entire space was well-kept and tidy. Food: Very good. The caretaker ensured we had enough food, and everything was well-cooked and satisfying. Just a note—if you’d like chicken, be sure to inform the caretaker in advance. Bonfire:Unfortunately, we couldn’t enjoy the bonfire due to rain, but we’re sure it would’ve been a lovely experience. There’s a small waterfall just a 5-minute walk from the stay, which looks magical in the evening. The sound of peacocks in the area added a special charm to our mornings. While breakfast isn’t included, there’s a small shop nearby where we enjoyed delicious egg Maggi and bread omelette—simple and tasty! Overall, our stay was absolutely worth the value. We’d definitely love to visit again. Highly recommend for families!

Had a wonderful stay with a group friends. The property had all the amenities and a good view of the mountains. Giri and housecaretaker Antony was always available to take care of all requirements.

Caretaker Govindaraj and assistant Ruby hosted us perfectly. The property has breathtaking views. The homely food they prepared was super yummy. Strongly recommending this place for the privacy, food and great view.

Beautiful surroundings and cosy stay. The host, the manager, and the caretaker were all helpful and responsive, and ensured that our stay was memorable. Lots of extra love to the pet dogs they have there - so loving and cuddly. Would definitely recommend.

Amazing stay with great food! Away from the hustling city, this spot is highly recommended for a perfect getaway. The room I chose had a private terrace with amazing mountain view. The caretakers were really helpful and kind and they ensured all our needs are addressed on time. The host was also very responsive making sure everything is comfortable for us. If you are looking for a perfect getaway from the city life, Ellesmera is the best place to stay at. We visited for 2 nights and 3 days this weekend, and had booked 2 rooms. The house is located on top of the hills surrounded by greenery on all sides. You can see the town from the lawn. There are plum trees and Pear trees planted on the premises which adds to the beauty. The hosts, Mr. Babu Cherian and his wife, took care of us like family. The food is great if you plan to eat at the homestay. They have a beautiful fireplace in the house where you can spend the evening times. It is perfectly located at 5 kms range from almost all the nearby tourist spots to visit. You should have your own commute when visiting, make travel in Kodaikanal a little easier. Plan to visit on a non-long weekend if you wish to avoid traffic at tourist spots.

Amazing place for a peaceful getaway. Perfect to just relax and unwind. No need to step out for local sightseeing as the views from the stay was much more amazing. Great food as well. Approach road was a bit damaged due to recent rains ( and being repaired as told to us by the host). Looking forward to visit again.

Loved the place Bohemian Hideaway. It has got such an amazing sunset view from the place! The hosts Arun n Nikita were super helpful throughout our stay in Kodaikanal - with local recommendations, and offbeat places to visit. And ofcourse, Balaji, what a gem of a person he is! Always smiling and so helpful! Totally worth it!
