Holiday rentals with a fire pit in Kittilä

Our stay at Tarja and Scott’s house was one of the best adventures of our lives. Even before the trip, they were very kind and helpful. When we arrived, we were warmly welcomed and had everything we needed. The house was cozy and warm, with plenty of firewood. There is also a beautiful kota near the house where we could cook on the fire and watch the northern lights. We were lucky to see the aurora five nights in a row. Scott also gave us great advice about hiking and kindly let us stay a bit longer on our last day. Before we left, we had a nice talk and learned more about his life. We will always remember this peaceful place by the lake and hope to return one day. :)

We had the greatest stay at Kosti’s ! He’s the best host we could ask for. He’s always available when you need anything, and makes sure for your stay to be as welcoming as possible. The sauna and pool are really nice to enjoy, and the location is perfect. The (then frozen) river next to the house offered us the possibility to watch wonderful auroras, and the proximity the Ounasvaraa ski station allowed us to enjoy it as much as possible. I could only recommend you to stay at Kosti’s place if you want your stay to be the best, and feel as a local.

Great cottage, very clean and all the basics ready. In winter, someone might miss a drying cabinet, but since we didn't need it, we don't complain about anything. There was plenty of room for two adults and three schoolchildren. I highly recommend this cottage to everyone!

We fall in love with this house. It has a lot of great moment to offer. You can walk on the frozen lake, playing snow around the house, and even seeing aurora from the house window. Love the surroundings! The amenities are also great. Thank you host for the great house with excellent service.

We had such a wonderful, peaceful stay at Janne's place. Felt right at home. Perfectly located just outside of Yllas (you will need a car) quick drive to slopes/shops and restaurants. We had a lovely stay. Thank you Janne.

We had a wonderful stay at Juhas house. The house is very cosy and comfortable, very well equipped with all necessary supplies in the kitchen and clean. We were a family of six.

We had a lovely stay with our two children ages 1 and 3. Natalia went above and beyond with fresh flowers and groceries for breakfast, this was a really thoughtful touch to the stay. There were gates for the top and bottom of the stairs that gave us peace of mind with the children. The home is cozy and attractively decorated. The location is breathtaking right on the lake with an authentic sauna and barbecue hut available to use. We highly recommend this home and location if you're looking for a traditional private lake cabin. We really enjoyed the remote location, note that it is 20-30 minutes to Rovaniemi and as described, make sure to come with a vehicle that can drive on dirt and gravel roads.

The cottage is in a beautiful location. Very close to everything but with a scenic view and away from the hustle and bustle. It is an ideal location. Petrol station across the road, where you can pick up food. Lots of snow around that the kids were able to play in a safe place. the cottage is very well equipped. Self check in was very easy and Mervi was a lovely host. Cottage has such a lovely authentic vibe. Will definitely come back to stay again.

We had an amazing stay here. The location is very quiet, the snow was still white (unlike in the city), though the road to the place can be slippery. The apartment is large enough, well equipped, very clean. I think the kitchen has everything you need. We were lucky enough to see the auroras almost every night during our stay here, it was perfect! Thanks for making our last days in Finland even more magical!

We stayed at Laura’s cozy home for two nights and thoroughly enjoyed our time at her place. Her lovely home had everything we needed and so much more. It was spotlessly clean with helpful info throughout to make us feel welcome. The sauna was wonderful. The location is beautiful and in the middle of nature, with many trails. We even saw the Northern Lights! Easy access to/from the City Center by bus. Grocery within walking distance. All communications with Laura were very fast, helpful and informative. She is a terrific host! We would definitely stay again and highly recommend!

We felt very comfortable at the place. With the cold temperatures, it was great to have a sauna available. The local ways to rent towels and linens worked well. Thanks for the great place to stay! Tip: Take a dish towel with you.

Excellent location short walking distance from Levi center, yet very peaceful and spacious (at least for 4 people). Listening to the noise of the after ski in the center, we were happy to live further away. Owner very responsive and sign in with key box very easy. Good instructions in advance both in Finnish and in English. One bedroom down stairs (double bed), two bedrooms upstairs (2 x twin). Both floors have their own toilets. Bathroom/sauna separate. Also little "play room" upstairs which could also with a desk be an office for remote work. Could fit in a baby bed, not more. Drying cabinet for ski stuff, kitchen very well equipped. Living room area spacious with high sealing & big tv. We didn't use the fire place. The only minus is limited space for storing clothing, no space for wardrobes in the bed rooms. Blinders but no way to fully block light from the bed rooms. We appriciated the dish washer and the washing machine.

Mia’s place is a gem! We were so glad to stay here, near the amenities of Akaslompolo but much quieter and also free of light pollution. Being able to get on the cross country ski tracks from our door was amazing… particularly because these tracks are virtually empty, like you have them to yourself. And, the kota (traditional hut) is really special… stocked with firewood so that you can use it when you want, anytime. We saw the northern lights 3 out of 4 nights!!!!! And we loved the cozy atmosphere of the cottage. Once you figure out how Finnish saunas work by using Mia’s instructions in her book… it heats up really nicely in 30 minutes OR you can set a timer for when you are going to arrive back. We loved it here!

This place was an easy 10/10 for us! Pure luxury, insanely comfortable, and so good we considered "accidentally" missing our flight. You can step outside with your skis or sled and head straight into the forest. The bed? Hands down the best one we slept in during our Finland trip. We loved the back patio with its huge glass windows and cozy seating, perfect for relaxing. The sauna was amazing, and the dry cleaning machine and washer were a lifesaver. The apartment is modern, packed with every amenity, and honestly, you may never want to leave. We also stayed closer to town and in a fancy glass ice cube, but this still won by a landslide. If you're coming to Levi, stay here. Just make sure you have a car. Huge thanks to our awesome, responsive host!!! When we come back to Levi I guarantee you we will be staying in this place!!!!

If you love nature and want to really switch off, the cabin is an absolute insider tip! Due to a small snowshoe hike to the cabin in winter is included and really beautiful. The snowshoes and sledges were all ready for us at the parking lot, and we could easily follow the path of the snowmobile to the cabin. The cabin is very cozy, a central fireplace heats up quickly. We spent cozy evenings by the fireplace and in the candlelight. And then our stay was crowned with the stunning northern lights. All in all a lovely stay and wonderful to leave all the stress behind.

Couldn’t have asked for a more lovely weekend at this cabin. Therese was very kind and even helped us find the northern lights! Located in a small, quiet community which had a few stores and restaurants within 15 mins drive, this cozy place is well worth your time and money, would love to come back someday!

We loved our stay at Sampo’s place. The cabin had an amazing view of the river and is located in a very quiet neighbourhood. We saw the northern light over the river right from the cabin. The place was well equipped with all necessary things and the availability of snowshoes was nice! Sampo was always responsive to all of our queries throughout the stay A small note maybe, we would have appreciated if the coffee and sugar was available. Overall, we had a great time!

I had an incredible time at Riitta’s charming cabin. She welcomed us warmly, allowed an early check-in, and explained everything about the cabin, sauna, and activities. The cabin was small and simple, yet comfortable, with a cozy bed, warm blankets, and a window offering a stunning sky view. Heating is wood-fired (lasting ~3 hours), the bathroom is outside, and there’s no electricity (Riitta can lend lanterns). Bring your own food—there’s a gas stove, cookware, and a 5L water container provided. We were lucky to witness two nights of breathtaking Northern Lights, watching them dance across the sky and even falling asleep with the aurora visible through the window—truly magical! The sauna was another highlight: a traditional Finnish experience with optional cold dips and hot water baths. You can also snowshoe, ski, sled, or enjoy a cozy barbecue with equipment provided by Riitta. Everything was exceptional! Thank you, Riitta, for the kindness and unforgettable memories.

This is such an unique place. The landscape, the jacuzzi, the sauna with a view, reindeers around the cottage and Northern lights right in front of the door. Everything was just perfect.
