It's easy to relax in this unique and peaceful holiday destination. The cottage is located on the shore of Lake Ounasjoki. Behind the river is Aakenustunturi. The cottage has electric heating, a wood stove and a fireplace. The sauna is heated with wood, which is also located in the same building. Access to the sauna is via the terrace. Water for the sauna is collected from the river with buckets and heated with wood in the sauna pad. The property has a very clean outdoor toilet with no heating. Ice hole in the river open in winter.

This is one of the best places in town to see the Aurora Borealis.Now they are at their best and you can see them just looking out of the window inside the cottage!The cottage is right next to the river Ounasjoki.The cottage is only a short distance from the city center but you will be just like different world.

KORPI - in the middle of Äkäslompolo village

Completed in autumn 2021, the cottage-like and cozy terraced apartment is an excellent base for holidays. The apartment has a central location, so you can easily reach shops, restaurants, safari companies and equipment rentals on foot. The airport and train bus will take you almost to the driveway. Ski bus stops are also just as close. The apartment is ideal for two and also works well for families. Linen and towel sets can be ordered separately at 20 euros/person/booking.

Our luxury is peace and quiet under the starry sky and northern lights. You can get there by car, but you don't have to see anyone during your entire stay if you don't want to, but you're still only about 45 minutes from the city center. We are sure that you will fall in love with our peaceful cabin in the middle of snow and northern lights. The cottage is always warm when you arrive, and we will take care of you throughout your stay as if you were our friends.
