Great stay at Esa's. The place is authentic and peaceful. We were delighted to fetch the water from the river, light a good fireplace, and enjoy the surrounding nature. The sauna is a must: we loved enjoying it in the evening and spot the northern lights as we left the sauna. The place has everything you need for a good time in the area. Esa welcomed us very warmly and explained all the specifics of the accommodation. Snowshoes ( adults and even children) and sleds were available for strolling around the area. It was perfect, thank you so much Esa.

The house was nice , warm and cozy. Feel like home. The location was great. Just 3 mins to supermarket and 3 mins to Sweden. The view was breathtaking. Amazing

We felt very comfortable. The house is comfortably and cozily furnished. The fantastically located and equipped sauna house is shared with the owners, which is absolutely no problem. The whole property is well maintained and is beautifully located on a large lake. The view over the lake with northern lights is unforgettable. Exceptionally friendly landlords who go the extra mile. Jukka gave us very good tips for the area. We will be happy to come back.

Lovely wilderness cottage with stunning scenery and reindeer in the yard to admire. Big lakeside sauna and stunning lake view. Great blankets and pillows. The refrigerator was unclean, but it wasn't needed on a short trip. The sounds of a car from the road are inside, there are no hippies.

A nice, clean and spacious place to stay at. The Ounasjoki river was a short walk away and the area is very peaceful and quiet. We saw a few reindeer nearby and the sauna was very good! The host was polite and friendly.

The cottage was atmospheric and very functional for a family of 4 children. John answered questions quickly. The best part of the cottage was the wood sauna and open fireplace, as well as the peaceful surroundings. We skied from Hannukais and Luosujärvi, and both were a short 10-minute drive by car. Directly from the yard of the cottage, you could also ski nearby with forest slippers and snowshoes.

Loved this place! A home away from home. We hadden a rental car and that was perfect fornthis location.

Our experience in Lapland, Rovaniemi, still felt like stepping into a living fairy tale,so surreal and breathtaking that it was hard to believe such a place could exist outside of dreams.Otherworldly landscape that felt like a scene from an animated movie.Our cabin, nestled deep in the wilderness, was a cozy wooden haven surrounded by towering trees.The silence was almost magical, interrupted only by the distant whisper of the wind and the occasional crackling of the fireplace. It was the kind of peacefulness that made us feel like the only people in the world.Lapland’s beauty didn’t disappoint. So thankful of Jouko’s dad who remains us of our grandpa, very nice, respectful and loving person, he made sure that we’re having a good time at the cabin and nothing is missing to us. Even with language barrier we managed somehow to have little chitchat with him and laughing together, he was so nice. Also thanks to Jouku for answering anytime and trying to help us.

A wonderful, wilderness cabin in the middle of silence and beautiful scenery. The sauna was really good and we took several dips in the spring water. The cottage had everything you need for a good vacation. 😊

We are driving with 6 girls in Ritva's cabin and we had the time of our life everything was perfect. Ritva was always super accessible and gave us beautiful tips to explore the area. Even when we had a problem with our rental car, she helped to find a garage. This place was a 10 out of 10 when we arrived everything was totally cozily lit and chubby warm. If we go to Lapland again, we'll go back to this cabin. Thank you very much Ritva for everything. You're great ❤️

Absolutely stunning place to stay. We would recommend it to anyone looking to stay in a private, quiet location. We watched the most beautiful sunsets and our son loved playing out in the snow. The sledges were well used and loved by the grown ups too!

Beautiful riverside cottage, quiet and peaceful. Far from the city but with activities possible by car in the surrounding area. Indoor sauna, outdoor grill, snowshoes available, as well as sleds. Welcoming and attentive host. We had a wonderful stay!

Beautiful cottage for family holidays. Very easy to access and at the same time alone in the forest. Beautiful walks directly on foot. We enjoyed the sauna and the northern lights visible from the garden if the weather is clear:)

You will love if you are looking for isolation. Only one downside. Sanitary facilities if you are more than six of you!

Lovely cottage! Absolutely amazing view of the lake, at each time of day 😍 So serene, and the place is wonderful too! Absolutely peaceful, loved it! (and little hint, although it's absolutely beautiful to not have reception for a few days, it really is, but if you walk up the little hill right opposite the house there's perfect network 😉) and the springwater was amazing!!

This house is one of the best we stayed in and it felt so comfortable. It is very spacious with comfortable beds, showers, sauna and quite modern. The location is spectacular, 30 minutes drive from Rovaniemi, near the river and the presence of a reindeer who came everyday munching moss around the house made it magical for the kids. Matti is a great host and we will definetely come back.

Most amazing holiday ever. Perfect for northern lights, unique sauna experience, snow fun, ice fishing, snowshoeing, sledding- all from the doorstep. Total privacy, no neighbours and only 15min from the city and SCV. Reija offered and hosted lots of activities and gave best ideas what to do. She was perfect. Went to the magical forest walk directly from the house. Saw reindeers and northern lights. The house and the saunabuilding were amazing with fully equipped kitchen and other amenities. The best view ever, lots of fun outdoors in the snow. I really want to come back to see the summer as well. Thank you Reija for your hospitality and making all my dreams come through.

This is an ideal place to stay in Lapland. It is 20 mins drive from the airport and Santa Clause visit, so easy to reach, but also in a very quiet and idyllic location. The host is very friendly and always easy to contact. I took my daughters (8 and 11) and they loved it, especially the sledging around the cabin. Also a great spot to see the northern lights.

Photos don’t do this beautiful alpine cottage justice! Such a peaceful and private location. The cabins have been cleverly modernised without losing touch with the rustic charm. The hosts were great to deal with.

Nice place to stay with the family or a small group.of friends. 10 minutes walk over the frozen lake and we were able to see (dim) northern lights. Jukka was very kind to us.

The property is located in the middle of beautiful nature right on the lake. We felt very comfortable. The house is very well furnished and very clean. We would come back any time. :)
