Stunning location, responsive host, great set up for our family getaway

We had a really enjoyable stay at Holly's airbnb. the place was as described, in fact there was more in the kitchen than we had anticipated which was great. As a group of 8 (made up of couples and friends) there was loads to keep us occupied with the games room and to our surprise, there was a cupboard full of other board games. The garden is totally secure which is great as we have a dog so we didn't have to worry about them roaming outside and Holly had provided maps and directions for local walks which made taking him for a walk much easier. We had trouble getting the hot tub to a suitable temperature and Holly was on hand to help us resolve quickly. All in all, a great stay and we all had a lovely time!

Fantastic Host and Venue. Always happy to help with any requests and even decorated the house to celebrate the Birthday Girls. High recommend going to the local Fox and Hound Pub for food, its literally a 30 second walk away. Will definitely be heading back here again for a nice relaxing break!!

To be honest I don't like leaving the type of review that I'm about to. The reason being that the Roundhouse was so wonderful that what I am about to write may make it harder to book again, as everyone should stay there at least once! The property is even more unique, and beautiful, than it looks in the photos. It may be hundreds of years old but it felt like home the second we walked in through the great, big, front door. All the creature comforts that a couple could need for a short break were there, and the welcome pack was a lovely touch. It has to be said that I think the shower alone was worth the price we paid for the weekend as it was the perfect strength and temperature in a lovely large enclosure. If you ever want to actually leave the property there is a short stroll back along the road to Finchingfield. The village is the definition of picture postcard. There are numerous places to eat but I highly recommend the homemade pizzas at the Finchingfield Lion!!

We had a wonderful stay and the house was beautiful and tastefully furnished. The garden was great for our dog too. Would definitely recommend! It was half an hour drive to the coast but was nearby some quaint towns, which are all well worth a visit!

This has to be one of the best places we have ever stayed in! The barn is spotless, had everything you need - and wonderful touches such as garden games and board games. The surrounding area is peaceful - with birdsong all day long. We spent a short but fabulous visit enjoying the space, the garden, the views and the hot tub! Just wonderful. Shaun is incredibly helpful and friendly. We will certainly be going back!

Was a lovely little annexe on the side of the main house. Quiet and peaceful area with a beautiful garden and lovely undercover hot tub with a lovely view. In a quiet little village but not too far from a lot of attractions where you can go for walks, sight see or just relax. Claire and her family were very welcoming and friendly and were always there if you needed anything. Always quick to respond to messages and happy to help where she could. Was a perfect little getaway for our 2nd wedding anniversary and we would highly recommend Hazel Nook to anyone thinking of a getaway :-)

We had a wonderful stay! The place was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. We especially loved having a BBQ, soaking in the hot tub, and taking in the stunning view of the water. Honeysuckle, cabin was really amazing, nice and clean very comfortable and extremely well equipped with quality bedding, toiletries along with everything you could possibly need. This is somewhere I would be very happy to visit again. The host Richard was very helpful and on hand if you needed him, but left us to enjoy the peace and tranquility, in this beautiful relaxing setting.

We had the most amazing family stay for our mum's 60th birthday. The house was beautiful, interesting and fun. It had enough for all ages to do and the outside pool, tubs and eating space was perfect. We were so lucky with the weather and instead of going out to do expensive activities we made the most of the house, fishing, park and pub (so family friendly). We would definitely come back but would avoid the middle of summer as the house did get extremely hot, especially upstairs. It wouldnt put us off going back though. Stayed here with my partners family for the weekend, we had such a lovely time. We made good use of the pool table and the football table. It was very spacious with 7 of us and 2 little dogs. Would definitely recommend!

We had a lovely time at Sam's home. Myself and partner stayed with our 11 month baby, 2 year old, and 3 other family members. We all agreed that the good aspects of this home were VERY good and enabled us to have a brilliant time. The garden, pool and outdoor shower were the definite highlights of the stay. Inside the house was clean and the layout and space worked well for all 7 of us. As stated above, certain features of the stay were outstanding which is why we gave it 5 stars but there are a few aspects we felt could really take it to the next level. Not being able to flush toilet paper, electric bin not working, big crack in top landing window, bizarre food left in fridge, freezer and cupboards (beetroot in fridge, cat food in cupboards), door handle broken in downstairs bedroom leading to garden, dishwasher full on arrival, blinds not rolling down/up properly etc All things that are easily sorted and would ensure the same high standard throughout.

Lovely well equipped and clean lodge in a great location with lovely views over the lake. The hot tub was terrific.

The place if you want a quiet, peaceful getaway surrounded by the best of the Suffolk countryside. We had amazing weather for our one night stay. The bath was brilliant (takes a while to fill, bear in mind). The cabin was cosy and homely. I can imagine a winter stay would be equally wonderful. Being a Sunday evening and wanting a more substantial meal than was available at the closer (and offering food), we walked the The Poachers Pocket. About 1hr 10 mins at a leisurely pace along quiet lanes and bridleway. Looked like there was all you'd need to cook at the cabin and a large fridge. Would recommend to family and friends.

What a beautiful place, a true hidden gem. The lodge is clean, comfortable and spacious such a great place to relax and unwind. The view from the decking is so pretty and ever changing. Always so much wildlife to see. The hot tub is an added bonus, great for watching the beautiful sunsets. The setting is quiet and peaceful and the owners have made sure that the lodge is fully equipped with everything you could possibly need. We will definitely be back. We didn't buy passes for the on site entertainment this time, but we will next time. The site is really clean and well set out and there is lots to do. Local to the site is RAF Coningsby , we were lucky to see the Battle of Britain memorial flight flying low over the lake and the lodge. We also saw lots of typhoon jets. I would highly recommend ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Thoroughly enjoyed a relaxing night away in Jodi’s beautiful little cabin. Stunning little garden and we made good use of the hot tub. Would definitely recommend staying here for a restful stay.

Lovely place to stay for a few nights. Peaceful and very private which was a nice change from being in a crowded town. Suzanne welcomed us as we arrived and showed us around. Would 100% recommend and definitely would stay again!

We had the most amazing stay at this beautiful lodge for a relaxing hen do weekend! 💕 The setting is peaceful and quiet, with lovely views over the golf club, perfect for enjoying the hot tub and soaking in the scenery. The lodge was spotless and really well kept, with plenty of towels and everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The kitchen was fully equipped, the living space was cosy, and we genuinely didn’t need to bring a thing. The gym, pool, and other facilities nearby were a real bonus, such a great touch for a bit of wellness and fun during the weekend. Karen was incredibly helpful with the arrangements and full of great information about the local area, which made planning our stay so much easier. The neighbours were absolutely lovely too, which added to the warm, welcoming atmosphere. We honestly couldn’t have asked for more. we’ll definitely be booking again!

What can I say apart from FANTASTIC, absolutely loved our stay here and was just perfect for us. The Lodge itself was the best lodge we've ever stayed in. So big, clean and everything you could possibly need was there. The location was perfect, so peaceful and quiet and it helped having brilliant weather when we there - even got sun burnt ! The wildlife is amazing to watch, they never bother you and just get on about their business. We could not have wished for a better stay. Communication with Jemma @ Cambridgeshire Lakes was brilliant always on hand for any queries no matter time of day or night. Would definitely recommend and will definitely be returning and for longer this time !
