We had a great stay—the backyard is beautiful and peaceful; the pool resort-quality and refreshing; kitchen well-equipped for preparing chef-quality meals; house full of interesting reads, artwork, and games. Everyone from 9 to 92 enjoyed the house. We also explored the neighborhood and found it close to all sorts of interesting places right out the front door. Would definitely stay again next time we come to Richmond.

We had such a wonderful stay! The house was beautiful, peaceful, and had everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. The layout was perfect for spending quality time together while still giving everyone space to unwind. Private beach access made it even more special—we made great memories, met some lovely neighbors, and even had a chance to paddle board and spot a stingray! Huge shout-out to Leigh, our amazing host—so thoughtful, responsive, and kind. We’re so grateful for the experience and would absolutely stay here again. Highly recommend!

Of my many Airbnb stays, Laura’s comes up with the very best. Her home is lovely, inside and out, with a lot of fun activities to choose from. Located on a beautiful creek opening to wide water gave us a chance to explore in her kayaks and paddle board. Rainy weather meant indoor board games, reading etc on the beautiful protected porch. The kitchen had all sorts of amenities for cooking. Plenty of bedrooms for sleeping in the peaceful atmosphere. I can’t wait to return there!

We had a really nice stay at the Rose Retreat! The home is wonderfully appointed with nice furnishings. We especially appreciated the well stocked kitchen with upscale drink and dinnerware. The hand written welcome note, bottle of wine and snacks were so thoughtful - thank you! A perfect location from which to enjoy Irvington and the surrounding towns. We hope to come back in warmer weather to enjoy the pool!

We needed a peaceful, relaxing weekend away and that’s exactly what we got by choosing this AirBnB. While neighbors were close, the trees made it feel like we were secluded. The home was comfortable. We especially enjoyed the back room off the kitchen for just hanging out and chatting. Maria provided thorough details up front and was responsive during our stay. We are already planning our next trip.

Incredible weekend! Host went above and beyond to make us feel welcome.. ginger cookies, loaf of rustic bread, highchair for our 1yr old and even put out puzzles for our 4yr old! Layout was awesome with primary separated from other 2 bedrooms. Enjoyed waking up to the sun rising and beautiful river views. Beds were very comfortable and house was stocked with everything you need. The private beach and playground was perfect for the kiddos and we had a blast playing all day! Would give 10 stars if we could and can’t wait to come back!

Ashley and Ben’s Blue Pearl Cottage was one of the best Airbnb’s we have stayed at, and we’ve been to a lot! The home was spotless and inviting. The back porch was perfect for hanging out in, relaxing and reading. We loved kayaking and exploring too. Ashley and Ben thought of everything you need. We will be back!

Another wonderful stay for a weekend getaway with other couples and kids. Bunk room and garage game room were perfect separation for kids to have their own space. Lots of nature in this area- crabs, eagles, perch, turtles, frogs and catfish to name a few critters! House had every convenience of home- trash bags, laundry supplies, dishwasher pods, soap, laundry baskets and cleaners. It was so nice to arrive and not have to go out for basic supplies!

The bed, bedding n towels were first class and as such things do, made the stay so much more enjoyable. also, extra thanks for the most comfortable bed AND reclining sofa n loveseat. It was perfect to relax on in the evening to watch a movie. This place was also super clean, from the chandeliers to the baseboard molding. but as important to us, it was so pleasant, peaceful and tranquil. We loved being able to use the kayaks, that were provided, on the beautiful lake. Kent was a superb host, being so patient with us regarding gaining access to the house. Thanks so much, Kent, for the best airbnb and vrbo stay we have ever had... and we have been using Vaca rentals since 2016!

The Perfect view was a perfect place with a perfect host. We didn't know what to expect and can say our experience exceeded our expectations. The place feels very clean. The property is well thought out - with the landscaping/garden, the seats/firepit/jacuzzi overlooking the water, and the tranquil garden fountain. We enjoyed sitting on the porch, eating special meals prepared by Brenda and enjoying the company of her pets. Nellie Mae is the ideal sweet, soft, cuddly lap dog. (We normally are big dog people :) Brenda KNOWS hospitality and couldn't have been a better host. She makes the most delicious meals - we had her dinners and breakfasts several times and were never disappointed. Suprisingly, the fold-out King bed was extremely comfortable and the room had cool temperature with A/C and fan to help us sleep soundly every night. Delightful place with delightful host - one of our top Airbnb experiences! We will certainly be back. Thank you Ms. Brenda!!

The home is sweet, comfortable, and well-stocked. It is a bit of a drive to town and most of the food options, but the tradeoff is peace, quiet, and lovely river views. My co-worker and I stayed here for a work trip, but both remarked that we would love to come back and stay here for a restful vacation!

We loved this house! The yard was wonderful. My son enjoyed picking blackberries. We had bunny rabbits every morning and evening and even a deer! The house was super clean and cozy. Absolutely wonderful!

This is a hidden gem, I loved it, everything is clean, tidy, the views are incredible, my family and I had a great time celebrating my birthday.

Creek Retreat is a perfect place to kick back and relax. Surrounded by nature, a private oasis. The space is well appointed, clean and comfortable. Tastefully decorated. Added amenities and attention to details elevate the experience. Enjoy kayaking and sitting by the fire. Georgia is a great hostess and is proactive and responsive. Had a great weekend in the Northern Neck here! We watched a pod of dolphins and stingrays from the backyard, enjoyed easy access to nearby parks, and had a great time cooking in the kitchen. This is seemingly a very recently renovated house, and all the towels, sheets, beds, etc. seemed brand new as well. It was super clean, super comfy, and the hosts were very responsive! I liked that the property was surrounded on one side by forest as well—it was nice and quiet and secluded. Finally, they have a super cute collection of board games disguised as old timey books. I'd definitely stay here again!

Talk about being sad 😢to leave! Sometimes a location for an air BnB just hits it out of the park, and this is a great example. We LOVED our stay and took advantage of the yard and beautiful view daily! We fished off the dock and shore. Tip, since it is tidal water as long as you are on the shore or dock you don’t need a fishing license. Our pups loved the yard and going for a swim. There are a lot of great places to eat within a 30min drive. We were on a work trip, but would love to come back when we could take advantage of everything this place has to offer. It’s a gem! The surrounding area is fun to explore if you like antiques and boutiques. We loved the local vibe! You will have a great time.

Our family of 6 stayed here for a short vacation. The house was beautiful & location was great for what we wanted to do in Virginia. Loved that there were king beds in every room--no fighting over who gets the big bed! The hosts were responsive and helpful. Would recommend to anyone traveling to the area!

This home felt like home away from home for us. Tom was very polite and easy to communicate to and even popped in mid-stay to make sure we had everything we needed. The mattresses in the room were the most comfortable I have ever experienced in an Airbnb, which is important to a lot of people. If travelling to the area, we would definitely look this one up again!
