A newly renovated and dog/pet friendly two-bedroom cottage dating back to 1896 set on the idyllic Argyll Coast. The Lodge has a wealth of character and charm and provides guests with a true secluded and relaxing experience. It is situated in a peaceful setting in Kilberry in the district of Knapdale which is classed as a National Scenic Area of Scotland, due to its exceptional scenery and to ensure its protection from inappropriate development.
“What a beautiful cottage!! We really loved having the fire to sit by at night, and the welcoming touches from the host were really lovely and thoughtful. A very comfortable and cosy place to call home for the weekend. We would highly recommend a stay here! Hoping to visit again one day :)”
A light and very spacious loft room overlooking the picturesque Crinan Canal. The large top floor has amazing views and a wood burning stove. It is mainly self-contained with a sleeping area, living area and basic cooking facilities. There are two bathrooms in the house which are shared with me and my son. I provide a kettle, toaster, microwave, small fridge and a variety of basic foods, so you can be independent but you are welcome to use my large kitchen for more cooking. A warm welcome awaits
“What can I say? We agreed with all the previous reviews! The living space is cosy and spacious with many interesting touches. The scenery is truly stunning, especially if blessed with fine weather. Katie is very friendly and welcoming. And the company of the cat by the wood burning stove was an unexpected bonus! If you like nature there are many trails and scenic spots to discover nearby. I believe we only scratched the surface, located as we were in one of the forty National Scenic Areas of Scotland. It was everything we could have hoped for, for a quiet two-night getaway over the new year. Thanks, Katie, for a wonderful stay!”
Beachfront & stunning sea views! A luxurious and contemporary glamping pod with wood fired hot tub. Set in the most idyllic location in Kintyre overlooking the Hebridean islands of Cara, Gigha, Islay and Jura. Direct access to long sandy beach with stunning island views. A romantic retreat for 2.
“Rebecca was the most inviting host and had the hot tub ready for my dip also the bed ready and made up. The CaraPod was fully equipped with everything to hand and it was my little bit of heaven for 2 nights. Even with the wild weather blowing in it did not stop my enjoyment of a beach walk meeting the friendly neighbours and dogs in this lovely part of Scotland. I would sincerely recommend this property for couples or single person as a great place to escape to.”
