Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Kenmare

This house was just as described, newly renovated and a couple minutes drive outside of Kenmare. It was so peacefully quiet at night and we had some adorable, young cow neighbors who entertained us while we had our morning coffee. The location was perfect for our trips around the Dingle, Iveragh and Beara peninsulas, and the restaurants in Kenmare were fantastic. Helen and Chloe were welcoming hosts and made check-in and -out effortless. I would definitely stay here again.

This was a delightful place to stay in Kenmare. Private but within minutes of walking to Kenmares shops, pubs etc. Spacious, spotlessly clean and well equipped. Plenty of parking space. Would highly recommend.

Superb little cottage just off the main street. It had everything you'd need for an away break, and a nice touch to have some milk and butter in the fridge for us. We were blessed with good weather and the little patio area out the front is a suntrap for the majority of the day. We've already decided that, when we do come back to Kenmare, we'll try to stay here.

Martin and Bridgette were excellent hosts. 3 things we look for are cleanliness, comfort and quiet. We got these in abundance. The view from the house was stunning and seeing all the deer in the garden was very special. Good base for touring the penninsulas with great food in town. Gorgeous peaceful location with stunning views of Kenmare Bay. Lovely to watch birds at their feeder on the patio. The house is extremely comfortable with walls decorated with charming prints and landscapes. Enjoyed the welcome pack - barm brack, brown bread and jam - with vase of flowers. Thank you Jim.

This is one of the best stays we have ever experienced. The photos don’t do it justice, the home, grounds & view of the ocean are absolutely breathtaking ! Everything you need is on hand, we were inspired! Fresh flowers & comfy blankets, books, every detail was taken care of. We did not want to leave. Gavin was friendly and gave us great tips & suggestions for exploring this incredible area. We would give 10 stars if we could!!! Book this extraordinary stay.!

We had a great stay at Caraway Lodge! The space was modern, clean, and very comfortable. It was easy to find and just a pleasant 25-minute walk to the shops and restaurants in Killarney. Tadhg was a fantastic host—very responsive and full of helpful recommendations that made our visit even better. Would definitely stay here again!

Stunning view and adorable cottage with everything you need. Super close to Gap of Dunloe which has been the highlight of our trip so far!

Stayed here for two nights with a friend, host was responsive, location is good - close to Bantry, views of the bay in the distance. Was perfect for what we needed!

Fantastic Accommodation. Beautiful , spacious and bright. Spotlessly clean. Comfortable bed, well equipped kitchen. Was truly like home from home. Beautiful scenery from our bedroom and living room, overlooking the mountains. It was so peaceful. We used as a base for visiting family in the surrounding area, and it was perfect. We met Anne, who was so warm & friendly, honesty couldn't do enough for us. Orla was friendly & helpful , she got back to us promptly with queries we had & information regarding our stsy. We got great directions on how to find the apartment. A short drive from Glengarriff town with pubs & restaurants. I would recommend Davitts restaurant & Thee Olive Tree in Kenmare for a lovely meal, but you will need to book in advance as it's very busy. We will definitely be returning, and have recommend to family and friends. Thank you Anne & Orla for being such great hosts. Best wishes, to you both and all the family too. John was communicative and helpful from the get go. His place was easy to find and access. As others have said it is in the heart of the town, making it close to everything, but also a bit loud on a weekend - a white noise machine took care of all that though. Great spot and very convenient!

Fantastic place to stay in a perfect location for exploring Valentia Island! Darina & Paul have thought of everything we could need and have tastefully decorated the place. The bed was wonderful after a day in the rain and wind. Hope to visit here again!

Wonderful stay at William and Joanne's. Everything you'd want from a host and a place. They were so friendly and accommodating, really went above and beyond to be helpful and make our stay memorable. The place is clean and comfy and the spot is truly beautiful. Very happy we stayed here.

A cosy but spacious little nest surrounded by gorgeous scenery The location is absolutely fantastic as it is so close to the town center of Killarney, the entrance to the ring of Kerry and an hour away from Dingle, which was our next stop Mike and Sinead were the most amazing hosts as they provided us with lots of information and recommendations Highly recommend

Aidan was very friendly and communicated well. The space was very clean and centrally located; would certainly recommend!!

We rented John's place for 5 nights and couldn't have been happier. It was perfect for our needs and was close to many attractions. It was very clean and bright and John was a great host. He even made us homemade cookies!

What an amazing place to stay. The view from the apartment and surrounding area was breathtaking. Bridie provided great instructions to get there as well as a wonderful recommendation for dinner. Only regret is we didn’t stay longer!!

We enjoyed our stay at John’s. He and Claire were very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed making simple meals with the delicious lamb and fresh salmon available in town. Also having laundry facilities was fantastic, easy to use machines. Great view from our window, but we were sorry to miss the donkey s, they were elsewhere. A side note: The bedding in Ireland is interesting. Every bnb we stayed in (4) had one duvet and no top sheet. We found them to be too warm everywhere we went. But that’s no shade on the bnb. Just the way things are done, I guess.

Fantastic stay for our 4 days in Killarney. Hosts were amazing and the space was huge and perfect for our family of 4 (2 adults and 2 kids). The kitchen was wonderfully appointed (better than ours back home!) and allowed us to cook several meals at "home" which was very helpful. The kids LOVED the dogs, too! The location was perfect, just minutes from the Gap of Dunloe and maybe 12 minutes from Killarney Town. Laundry room was very welcome and perfect for the midpoint of our road trip around Ireland. Couldn't ask for a better stay!
