Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Kenmare

This house was just as described, newly renovated and a couple minutes drive outside of Kenmare. It was so peacefully quiet at night and we had some adorable, young cow neighbors who entertained us while we had our morning coffee. The location was perfect for our trips around the Dingle, Iveragh and Beara peninsulas, and the restaurants in Kenmare were fantastic. Helen and Chloe were welcoming hosts and made check-in and -out effortless. I would definitely stay here again.

This was a delightful place to stay in Kenmare. Private but within minutes of walking to Kenmares shops, pubs etc. Spacious, spotlessly clean and well equipped. Plenty of parking space. Would highly recommend.

We had a great stay at Cathrine’s. Lovely place and great host. We will recommend the location to friends and family.

Superb little cottage just off the main street. It had everything you'd need for an away break, and a nice touch to have some milk and butter in the fridge for us. We were blessed with good weather and the little patio area out the front is a suntrap for the majority of the day. We've already decided that, when we do come back to Kenmare, we'll try to stay here.

Martin and Bridgette were excellent hosts. 3 things we look for are cleanliness, comfort and quiet. We got these in abundance. The view from the house was stunning and seeing all the deer in the garden was very special. Good base for touring the penninsulas with great food in town. An upscale stay without an upscale price. Rhona has taken great care with attention to all details including the decor, furniture comfort, bed linen thread counts, kitchen supplies (which is great for people who like to cook when they travel like we do), and thoughtfully selected provisions upon arrival which included Guinness, Irish milk and carrot cake, among other things. We even had a chance to have a meal outside in the rare sun in the beautiful private garden. Top notch stay and communication was great including recommendations for activities and eating out. She even let us know when a road closed that might interfere with travel plans when we left. Highly recommend.

Brilliant stay at a lovely house by the water, with lovely rooms and nice open kitchen-living space. Lovely outside spaces if you are lucky with the weather. Anne was super responsive and very helpful with local recommendations. Highly recommended for anyone in visiting the area.

great location. beautiful surroundings. we visited on motor bike such a great base to go off and explore. safe and secure parking. very helpful host and nothing was too much.

We based ourselves in Kenmare for 3 days while touring around Ireland. Tessa’s cottage was comfortable, had great facilities and extras that Tessa had left to make it a great stay. She was good with her communication and check in was easy. The cottage was convenient to town if you didn’t want to drive. Quiet location. Thanks Tessa we really enjoyed our stay at The Lodge.

Stayed here for two nights with a friend, host was responsive, location is good - close to Bantry, views of the bay in the distance. Was perfect for what we needed!

We had a great time. Anne was lovely, really helpful and provided great recommendations for local attractions. The apartment was very spacious, and matched the photos. Anne provided a very generous welcome pack which was greatly appreciated after a long drive. The area was very scenic and peaceful, and a great access point for the Beara peninsular. I would highly recommend staying here.

John was communicative and helpful from the get go. His place was easy to find and access. As others have said it is in the heart of the town, making it close to everything, but also a bit loud on a weekend - a white noise machine took care of all that though. Great spot and very convenient!

Amazing place to stay with the most amazing views. Gerard was so welcoming with tips for where to eat etc. Definitely be back. 10/10.

A cosy but spacious little nest surrounded by gorgeous scenery The location is absolutely fantastic as it is so close to the town center of Killarney, the entrance to the ring of Kerry and an hour away from Dingle, which was our next stop Mike and Sinead were the most amazing hosts as they provided us with lots of information and recommendations Highly recommend

Aidan was very friendly and communicated well. The space was very clean and centrally located; would certainly recommend!!

We rented John's place for 5 nights and couldn't have been happier. It was perfect for our needs and was close to many attractions. It was very clean and bright and John was a great host. He even made us homemade cookies!

What an amazing place to stay. The view from the apartment and surrounding area was breathtaking. Bridie provided great instructions to get there as well as a wonderful recommendation for dinner. Only regret is we didn’t stay longer!!

We enjoyed our stay at John’s. He and Claire were very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed making simple meals with the delicious lamb and fresh salmon available in town. Also having laundry facilities was fantastic, easy to use machines. Great view from our window, but we were sorry to miss the donkey s, they were elsewhere. A side note: The bedding in Ireland is interesting. Every bnb we stayed in (4) had one duvet and no top sheet. We found them to be too warm everywhere we went. But that’s no shade on the bnb. Just the way things are done, I guess.

Fantastic stay for our 4 days in Killarney. Hosts were amazing and the space was huge and perfect for our family of 4 (2 adults and 2 kids). The kitchen was wonderfully appointed (better than ours back home!) and allowed us to cook several meals at "home" which was very helpful. The kids LOVED the dogs, too! The location was perfect, just minutes from the Gap of Dunloe and maybe 12 minutes from Killarney Town. Laundry room was very welcome and perfect for the midpoint of our road trip around Ireland. Couldn't ask for a better stay!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 stars! Easily the best host I’ve ever had with AirBnB. Carmel was extremely kind, friendly, and helpful. She and Ted greeted us when we arrived, and we loved the conversations we had with them throughout our stay. She gave great recommendations. The apartment was wonderful and had everything you may need- including a washing machine, kitchen items, and even a hair flat iron! There was parking at the house. The walk was about 20 minutes to town, but we thought it was worth it for the experience, the parking, and the incredible views. There is a great view out of the front and back windows. We would highly recommend.
