Cottage holiday rentals in Kelso

Honeymug provided the perfect backdrop for our group of six meeting up to reminisce about college days forty odd years ago! The cottage was comfortable and cosy and the welcome basket of goodies was indeed most welcome! Very comfortable beds to sleep off the long, coastal walks and swims in the indoor pool. We ate in The Bosk on our last evening and enjoyed it very much, having sampled the Friday evening pizzas too! Everyone was a fan of the outdoor jacuzzi, which we booked each evening and whirled away an hour chatting to the various local members we shared it with! Everyone was so friendly and we learned a lot about the area. Highlights were our boat trip to Inner Farne, an afternoon with the Chillingham cattle, and a day spent on the beautiful and peaceful Lindisfarne. We left feeling there was so much else to discover and we'll hope to be back to do just that! Many thanks John!

Fabulous! We had 6 days at the Old Piggery and thoroughly enjoyed it. The hosts are brilliant and the accommodation equally brilliant too. Peaceful location, well kept gardens, lovely hot tub and there was everything we needed at the accommodation. The hosts also left us some lovely surprises/treats too. Very thoughtful! We enjoyed it so much we didn't want to come home and we will be back again in future. Thank you Sue and Phil!

Beautiful location for a lovely farm stay, great views from the hot tub! Loved being able to watch the cows and sheep. Claire was lovely and was ready to help at any moment despite us arriving so late at night! Highly recommend and will definitely be coming back!

We had a fantastic time at The Stables celebrating our rescue greyhound’s fifth birthday - she got to run around happily in the enclosed garden whilst we enjoyed our complimentary Prosecco in the hot tub!Secluded location, relaxing and everything you could need thought of by Paul & Fiona. We had a wonderful stay with my family at this historic cottage. Especially loved the easy access to the Fife Coastal Path that we walked daily into Burntisland or Aberdour. Excellent hosts as well. Thank you for your hospitality, we would highly recommend this property!

The cottage was exactly what was listed and what we were looking for. The Host was always responsive and friendly with many helpful details. The cottage is cosy and in beautiful surroundings with friendly neighbours. It also is well equipped for short or long stays. We will definitely recommend and hopefully come back soon! Thank you

The cottage was pristine, modern comfortable and very comfortable. The decor is modern but relaxed, the sofa is sooooo comfy and the bed is huuuge. The location is very peaceful, although to get to any amenities it does mean a drive, there is no shop, pub, restaurant etc within walking distance. The location is excellent for exploring Northumberland, under an hour from Bamburgh Castle, half an hour from Alnwick and Alnwick Castle, and an hour ish from Berwick upon Tweed.

A really cosy, home from home cottage with a beautiful enclosed garden overlooking the surrounding countryside. Very well equipped and very tastefully decorated. The bathroom is a real treat. Thank you Debbie.

What a great place to stay, really peaceful yet easy to reach the places we wanted to see, but definitely need a car for this. Ian and Felicity were really helpful with local knowledge and the accommodation had a lot of information about where to visit. Really happy to recommend this, was anything lacking? Definitely not.

If you are looking for a week off-grid then we would definitely recommend the Hemmel, it was everything we needed and more. Our favourite bits were the views, the peacefulness, and the red squirrels running across the stone wall in the garden! We can’t wait to come back again and explore more of Northumberland. Kate was an excellent host who was extremely helpful and very friendly. We based our plans off her comprehensive local guide folder and filled the rest of the time with the wide variety or board games, books, and DVDs!

We were three adults, retirement age, in the Borders for the Melrose Sevens Rugby tournament, and stayed 6 nights. Dairy Cottage was a really excellent choice of accommodation, equipped with everything we could need, and really comfortable. The setting - in the grounds of an estate with a "grand house" - was delightful: green woodland with what seems like miles of paths and loops for limitless choices of walks. The gardens are really well-kept and tended, and the lake is beautiful. No doubt it is a great habitat for all sorts of wildlife, and indeed I have never heard such LOUD and varied birdsong! It's a very short walk (typically 6 minutes for me) into Selkirk town, where we patronised 5 different places for evening meals, all of which were very good. I would not hesitate to stay here again. Our stay at Foulbog was idyllic! The cottage and surroundings were beautiful. Lindsay was a great host and we would highly recommend a stay here!

A really lovely spacious cottage in a stunningly beautiful area. The cottage comfortably accommodated our family of 6 adults - the three proper ensuite bathrooms were super. Great living areas and kitchen. Although the property is in a very rural and peaceful location, nearby Kelso is only a short drive away. Gail was friendly and helpful at all times - a super host! A great base for exploring this beautiful part of the world. Highly recommend!

From the initial contact, through the booking process & the stay itself, we would rate The Den as a 5* choice. Amanda was helpful, friendly and approachable, nothing was too much trouble. The accommodation was spotless. The added touches were very much appreciated. The access to a greater selection on the tv was another bonus. In summary, our all round experience was excellent. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Another great find with everything thought of. Clean & comfortable in very peaceful surroundings. Don't trust the SATNAV as pointed out by very helpful host Sarah ! Follow her instructions. Will be back again for sure.

We had a lovely time staying in this quaint cottage near Berwick Upon Tweed. The interior has been decorated in a lovely manner and the place is immaculately clean. We loved the basket of goodies which were there upon arrival. The cottage is near to local attractions and not far for a few nice beach walks. We had an extremely comfortable stay and would visit again!

We had a great stay at Signal House. It is an a calm, peaceful and beautifully furnished cottage. Close to all the sites, groceries and restaurants. If you are fine with stairs (stairs up from the street and stairs from the kitchen and bedroom to the sitting area and patio) this cottage worth the extra money. The kitchen is well equipped for cooking in. The bed is comfy. The view of the castle from the sitting room and patio is truly stunning. We highly recommend Signal House!

Location was great, property was lovely great size rooms. Parking on the Saturday night was a slight issue as we had to park around the corner and not outside the property.

Beautiful accommodation in the lush countryside an easy 15 minute drive into Alnwick. Helen (host) was very welcoming and the goodies waiting for us in the kitchen on our arrival was very much appreciated. Would definitely stay again if we were in the Alnwick area. Thanks Helen!
