Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Kalkhorst

We were here with our 2 small children and especially enjoyed the peace and relaxation. We really liked the view from the terrace and the living area to the lake. The children had toys in the children's room and we had everything we needed in the kitchen, bathroom & co. Despite the rain, there were great excursion destinations for families nearby and it is only a few minutes' drive to the beach. Thank you for the beautiful, relaxing stay and the cozy "short-term home"!

The cozy little cottage, overgrown with fragrant roses, was just the thing for a break. In the morning you wake up to the sound of birdsong, in the evening hedgehogs run across the terrace. An idyll with super lovely hosts who live next door. Lake Ratzeburg is about 15 minutes away by car.

we had a great stay in the house were very satisfied with the amenities. Everything was there in the kitchen and the knives were sharp. You could have even baked. The fenced property is perfect with small children and also in the house it was relaxed with the children, as there were even toys and not so much fragile stuff around. Location was quiet and relaxing. We will be happy to come back.

We spent a great extended family weekend in Haus Quitte. The house is rustic and cozy, the garden is enchanting and huge and the sauna/pool invite you to do wellness. Ira and her daughter Sandra were always available for our questions, gave us tips on restaurants in Kühlungsborn, etc. In general, all communication with Ira and Sandra was super easy, uncomplicated and smooth. I can really recommend Haus Quitte without reservation, even for (larger) families with children. We are definitely already planning the next stay :-)

The apartment is small and cozy with a nice area in the garden for breakfast. Petra and Frank are totally nice hosts - we felt completely comfortable and hope to come back soon. Thank you very much

We had a lovely long weekend at Kirsten's place. The sleeping situation was flexibly adapted to our wishes with a toddler and the included entrance to Filippo's adventure garden was also great. With the large amount of space, we can imagine coming back together with another family!

We had a great week at Stefan's. The apartment was cozy, very clean and perfect for two people, with everything you need. We especially liked the fireplace😍, the proximity to the beach and the absolute tranquility – we slept wonderfully thanks to the lack of traffic. We were ready for a break from our travels so Bernd’s house was just perfect. It’s in a quiet setting and a comfortable place to relax. The house is spacious with outdoor seating and BBQ, overlooking the garden. It has everything you would need and the hosts were very generous, leaving some gifts for us to try. Bernd’s was easily contactable and responsive in dealing with a problem that arose on our first night in the property. I would highly recommend for a quiet relaxing break.

We spent five weeks in winter in Cornelia's cozy, charming accommodation. It is furnished with a lot of love for detail, and there was nothing missing. The location is unbeatable in the immediate vicinity of the canal. Our dogs loved it. Just like the lovingly maintained garden. In short, we highly recommend the apartment!

We had a really great time staying at the place! Everything was super relaxed – totally quiet, but still you can walk to the beach or the village in a few minutes. Perfect mix. We were there with two dogs and everything just worked out: The garden is completely fenced, the two could move freely, and we didn't have to worry about anything. Otherwise, the apartment was well equipped – it really lacked nothing. Everything is very clean, tidy and furnished with a lot of love. Lutz was super friendly, totally uncomplicated and flexible – you just feel welcome. The bicycles were a great extra, and the fact that they even thought of the spa card and a guide was really practical. In short: We felt completely comfortable and would love to come back. Our stay was wonderful, the house is big enough to retreat but at the same time has enough space in the kitchen and living room to be together in a larger group. Very tastefully decorated, walking distance to the beach.

We have enjoyed the house and surroundings very much. The house is wonderfully spacious and bright with a nice garden. The area is green and quiet, city and beach are also easy to reach. Absolutely recommended!

It was a very pleasant stay! The house has everything you need to relax. Sauna is amazing, bbq equipment is great. I strongly recommend this place for a short stay. But make sure you come with your car, as shops and civilisation is pretty far, which is not bad at all when one wants some peace.

A special place to stay! The house is beautiful and modern, with many technological gadgets that make the stay extra comfortable. The pool and trampoline are absolutely gold for children and adults alike. Inga, the friendly host, is very helpful and always ready to answer questions, even after an extensive tour. It is also nice to know that she is staying on the same property, only 25 meters away, which offers extra reassurance. Please note that (during the period we stayed here) there were a lot of mosquitoes and wasps. The house is of course located directly on the forest. This is good to know for future guests. All in all a great experience and a place I would definitely recommend for 2 adults with kids!

The house is a great place to spend a relaxing vacation with many friends or the extended family. The house is so big that you don't even notice that there are 12 people there. And when everyone does come together to eat, there is still room for everyone at the huge dining table. The furnishings are extremely stylish. I travel home inspired.

Sure – here's a suggestion for your Airbnb review: ⸻ We had a great stay at Birgit's! The house was perfect for our family – even our dog felt completely comfortable. The accommodation is lovingly furnished, superbly equipped – we felt right at home. We used the sauna every day. The only small downside: the distance to Gold for kitesurfing was a bit further than hoped - but everything else more than made up for it. Birgit was very warm, helpful and approachable at all times. We will be happy to come back!
