Houseboat holiday rentals in Kaag en Braassem

We thoroughly enjoyed a long weekend aboard Johan's houseboat, in a great location in the Jordaan! It was an experience simply not available in a hotel or B&B. We drank morning coffee and late afternoon cocktails on the deck whle soaking up the few remaining days of late summer sun. It was ideally located close to neighborhood restaurants, shops, and even weekend organic food and flea market, and a short walk to tourist attractions in the old city center. If not up for a longer walk along the canal to the museum quarter and beyond, a public transportation options were always available nearby. Communication prior to arrival and during our stay was proactive and prompt. The inside of the houseboat was even more spacious than we anticipated, and the beds were comfortable. We'll definitely opt for a stay here during our next visit to Amsterdam!

I cannot recommend this boat enough. I wish I was back there right now! What a lovely surprise that it's even better than the photos. Extremely clean, excellent finish, very unique and an overall beautiful space. Location is lovely, a short walk to everything and easy tram access if you don't feel like walking. Leaving the best till last... Sietske is a wonderful and kind host. She couldn't do enough for us and made us feel extremely welcome. Thank you so much for helping make a big birthday even more special!!

Lovely home Perfect neighborhood to stay if touring Amsterdam Host extremely responsive to any of our needs

Wir haben uns mit der ganzen Familie sehr wohl gefühlt auf diesem wunderschönen Hausboot! Marie Louise war sehr hilfsbereit und eine tolle Gastgeberin. Wir kommen gerne wieder. 🥰

Stayed at karinas boathouse last week and it was perfect! The location was amazing literally 5 minute walk from the ferry that takes you across from central station and it leaves every few minutes so you are never really waiting on it :). This is my 3rd time in amsterdam and this has been my best stay so far it was so quiet and peaceful like a different side of the city. At the boathouse the view of the canal is amazing you can sit and watch boats go by and see lots of different birds flying and fish splashing in the water :). There is a local shop less than 10 minute walk for everything you would need for your stay. The fridge was super good as it kept everthing ice cold and it was great there was even a microwave oven to heat certain things we wanted to try :) also ordering food from just eat to the boathouse was super easy! Over our stay was sooo amazing and when we plan on comin back we would totally book this again if it was available :)

Hanco’s house boat was just perfect for our stay. The location was perfect and we could easily walk to everything that we wanted to see, and there was a fantastic supermarket (Ekoplaza) and cafe deli (Stach) a 5 min walk away. We also enjoyed watching the coots and their chicks in a nest right outside the window! Hanco was incredibly helpful and responsive, and kindly put a travel cot up for our arrival.

Great space, great host! Hadewych was so responsive and helpful. I just loved the charm of the boat, it was a really neat experience! The bed was SO comfortable, I slept wonderfully. I do wish the couch was more comfortable though, was not conducive to getting comfy after a long day out exploring. It is an older boat so smells a bit musty and a few cobwebs in the chandelier, but you are able to open the windows and get the fresh air in which is very nice. Kitchen was well equipped, just didn't have a freezer which I wanted to store ice and ice cream etc. Had a problem with the pump but Hadewych was quick to remedy the situation. The location was superb - there was a fantastic grocery right around the corner (the produce is delicious!!), a lot of restaurants, cafes, etc. Overall a really great experience that I will cherish!

What a fun experience! And what a terrific host! In a beautiful, quiet neighborhood. Lots of restaurants within walking distance. To say we got to stay on a houseboat in Amsterdam is always going to be a fun memory! But note, it is definitely a boat. You must be fully able bodied to access the boat and get around comfortably inside. The kitchen is suitable for snacks. And as with most European AirBnBs, bring your own bath products.

The most fun boat house ever! It had a great little dock that you could jump in the canal from. Micheal was great and very friendly. Very unique experience, definitely the best airbnb.

We were so lucky to be able to stay in such a beautiful place! The beds were comfy, the surroundings were peaceful and beautiful... it was a lovely escape from the busy, city-center. We LOVED the use of the kitchen and the deck just off the kitchen. Hein was so good to have bikes available for us. There is little available directly near the home but a 10 minute bike ride along the lovely road and over the bridge gets you to all you could want. We were sad to leave our Amsterdam home and will hope Hein's home is available when we return.

Staying on this houseboat in the Jordaan was an unforgettable experience! Waking up on the canal each morning felt like a dream—peaceful, scenic, and so uniquely Amsterdam. The location was ideal, tucked in a charming neighborhood with plenty of shops, cafes, and galleries within walking distance. The houseboat was cozy, clean, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Communication with the host was excellent throughout. Highly recommend this special spot for anyone looking to experience the city from a different perspective!

Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Tolle Natur überall, sehr ruhig, Bademöglichkeit und insbesondere für Fahrradtouren ein idealer Ausgangspunkt. Restaurants und Supermarkt in der Nähe. Wir kommen bestimmt nochmal wieder.

Fern’s houseboat was AMAZING! Hands down my favorite Airbnb ever. Interior was beautiful and well kept. Location was close to so many shops, restaurants and the tram. Fern was very helpful and always responsive. Pepper was easily my favorite part of the stay though 😊 🐈‍⬛ ❤️

Our stay at Claire’s place was nothing short of magical. The location is hard to beat in the heart of Jordaan, steps away from great Dutch cafes, every restaurant we ate at was within a ten minute walk, every one was fantastic. As well as minutes walk from transit. Somehow though being in the middle of everything, being on the water in this houseboat makes you feel like you’re in your own private oasis. Claire has great taste, her home is designed impeccably, with one of the major highlights being the record player, listening to classics like the Beatles, Bowie, The Doors while sitting on the back porch taking in the incredible view of the canal. Bonus was the most efficient washer dryer I used during my 3 week stay in Europe and the large dishwasher. Had we stayed longer, we would have cooked, there was a fully stocked Chefs kitchen. Thanks for the perfect end to our adventure!

A lovely houseboat out of the busy fray of Amsterdam with easily accessible public transportation, cafes and restaurants. The birdlife on the canal was a pleasure, including 5 recently hatched baby coots. Liz gave us proper food to give the parents and we enjoyed watching them feed their offspring. Great break from museums and all the activities of Amsterdam.

Wir, drei Freundinnen, haben drei schöne Tage im schwimmenden Haus verbracht. Die Einrichtung ist modern und das Haus bestens ausgestattet. Auch die Terrasse ist toll, allerdings nichts für Menschen mit Spinnenphobie. Beim Thema Sauberkeit wäre noch etwas Luft nach oben, wir haben uns aber dennoch sehr wohl gefühlt.

Wir hatten zwei wundervolle Nächte auf Tamaras Hausboot und können den Aufenthalt nur wärmstens empfehlen! Es war einfach wunderschön – wir haben uns vom ersten Moment an sehr wohlgefühlt. Das Hausboot ist mit viel Liebe eingerichtet und es hat uns an absolut nichts gefehlt. Tamara war eine großartige Gastgeberin, sie hat schnell reagiert, war immer erreichbar und sehr herzlich. Für ein entspanntes Wochenende ist dieser Ort perfekt, und wir kommen sehr gerne wieder. Vielen Dank für alles, liebe Tamara!

Deze locatie is een echte aanrader! We voelden ons gelijk thuis en konden genieten van de rustige omgeving, waarbij we ook visite kregen van een paar eenden en zwanen. Je voelt je gewoon tot rust komen in deze omgeving. Lekker opladen, als je vanuit bv. Amsterdam komt. In de omgeving heb je - op loopafstand - leuke horecagelegenheden maar ook winkels voor boodschappen of gezellig shoppen. Schiphol is in de buurt, maar het vliegverkeer was op verre afstand te horen. Geen last van. Bedden waren schoon en precies goed qua hardheid/zachtheid. Keuken had alles, dus kokkerellen is ook mogelijk. Badkamer was ook smetteloos schoon met een heerlijke douchecabine. Kortom, WS11 staat bij ons genoteerd als superfijn verblijf! Naast onze locatie zagen we WS17 (ook van Anne): die was groter en zag er ook schitterend uit. Ideaal voor gezinnen. #aanrader

Wonderful little houseboat! I stayed here primarily because it was close to the airport but was pleasantly surprised at how relaxing and beautiful the area was! Hope to stay here again someday

Well what can we say Erica's place was the perfect place for our netherlands honeymoon. beautiful houseboat and spending every evening on the deck watching the sunset was dreamy! the houseboat is beautiful, we really enjoyed it and the neighbours are lovely too! The houseboat looks just like the photos and Erica was incredible with providing any and all information we needed! We already agreed after 24hrs on the boat we'd definetly be coming back in the future!! thank you Erica your home is beautiful!! ❤️ the only reason we didn't give a full 5 stars on cleaning as there was cobwebs from the ceiling in the living room, bathroom and bedroom (we didn't contact the host about this as it was only a very MINOR thing as the rest of the place was spotless!)

We are a group of 3 adults with 1 child, spending 4 days in Holland for a short get-away. We had such a wonderful time. The boathouse location provided both the local adventures to areas connected to the lake and easy access to Rotterdam, Amsterdam, Hague etc. We loved spending idle time watching cows on the farms and ducks in the water as well as taking motorboat out to have dinner in all the nice restaurants within 10-20 minutes of boat ride. My child loved learning how to pilot a boat in the canal. The locals are friendly and helpful. We can't wait to come back for a longer stay next time. Thank you so much, Annemiek and Mark, for making the boathouse available for us to experience it.

Wir hatten einen sehr schönen Aufenthalt in diesem Hausboot. Es ist perfekt eingerichtet, super sauber und ruhig gelegen. Super zum entspannen und abschalten. Ein kleiner Außenbereich mit Stühlen war auch vorhanden und hat uns sehr gefallen. Kostenlose Parkplätze direkt für der Tür und unkomplizierte Kommunikation mit der Gastgeberin!
