Holiday rentals with a kayak in Jefferson Parish

This is our 2nd trip to Bayou Life. The second floor was such a great fit for our family. We all loved the fishing, crab traps, and beautiful views! We went into the city during the late morning and early evening afternoon hours where we could enjoy beignets, jazz music, and the French quarter. We went on a fun swamp tour with Louisiana Swamp Tours and also enjoyed a fishing trip on the bayou. We are looking forward to returning in years to come!!

My family and I loved everything about this house. Having lived in New Orleans for 7 years and now returning to visit family and friends, this house made it feel like we were back at home. Great location, accessible, quiet street, great neighborhood. Thoughtfully renovated keeping a very New Orleans feel with modern kitchen and bathrooms. You won't find cheap finishes and cheap furniture from China here, unlike some quick flipped New Orleans Airbnbs! Andrew provided everything we needed, from new sponges and dish soap to bathroom toiletries. Plenty of space for parents and two small children. It was a perfect place to recharge in between French Quarter Fest, City Park, and getting sno-balls. Oh, and NO check-out chores!! We will be returning to "the yellow house" (as our 3-year old loved calling it) for our next visit! Thank you, Andrew!

We had a great time here. Used the kayaks, which were easy to access and bring to the water, right across the street.

Jay was an excellent host who was very responsive and clearly knows this neighborhood well. He gave us some good recommendations and we made some friends at some of the local spots. I never once felt unsafe walking around the neighborhood or coming back and forth from the French Quarter. The linens smelled nice and clean, there was air conditioning, a couple of nice bathrooms with great water pressure, and a nice kitchen. I slept great in the beds, and even hung out outside enjoying the lovely weather. I cant wait to return and stay here again. Best value for your money around.

I had the bachelorette weekend of my dreams in NOLA at The Dragonfly Inn. The house is perfect and Lore is such an amazing host. I can’t wait to come back!

We had an amazing time staying at Genevieve’s place! Genevieve was an amazing host and her home was a 10/10. She made our stay stress free and easy. Our second best decision was booking here (the first was being in New Orleans to elope lol) We will definitely be coming back to stay 😊

Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend to other travelers. The hosts were proactive and great communicators and was flexible with our check in. The inside of the home was a lot bigger than pictures depicted because of the high ceilings which was a nice surprise. We loved the art decor inside the home. The home was clean and clutter free. We rented a car and was grateful that popular tourist attractions and places to visit were nearby, and ride-share apps such as uber was fairly priced because of that. Although the designated parking spot right in front of the house was occupied with an unknown vehicle during our stay, there was plenty of free public parking in the neighborhood. The water temperature of both showers were a little hard to control but worked nonetheless.

My guess and I truly had a wonderful time at the boat house. anything needed it was there. very clean and the fish and crabs were bitting. the water provided a cool breeze. looking forward to next year!
