Waterfront holiday rentals in James City

The condo was really nice. The distance from the beach to the condo was less than 200 feet. Upon arriving the first thing I noticed was how clean and nicely decorated it was. Place was well stocked with essentials. There's a closet in the hall thats stocked with soap, bandaids, first aid, paper towels and everything needed. Appliances were new, clean and functional. TVs worked and the sound bar was a nice surprise as I would rather listen to music than watch TV. I can honestly say I cant think of one negative thing. Thank you for having us. We really had a great relaxing time, and thanks for the restaurant recommendations. We hit Gaffers twice but mostly sat on the deck and ate. That view is fantastic.

Great location tucked back in an older neighborhood on the water, clean and comfortable sleeping arrangements.

We enjoyed our stay here! The beach supplies were amazing, and we had everything we needed for traveling with our toddler. One thing to note is you do have to put the sheets on the beds yourself. That wasn’t clear in the listing, and we waited until we were exhausted to do it later that night which wasn’t very fun. But very minor action in what was a wonderful family vacation with great views!

My husband, daughter and pet dog Mocha enjoyed our stay. We very much enjoyed visiting the Shackleford Banks and seeing the wild horses and dolphins. My daughter and I spent some time on their dock our last night and it was very peaceful, I only wish we took advantage of that more as well as maybe kayaking over to the little island across the way. My only fall back was I kept bumping my head on the walls of the apartment but I was the only one that had the issue, my husband ( who is taller) and daughter did not. Most likely my very own perception issue😜

My stay at the Whitehust House was delightful. My host Pollie is amazing and incredibly helpful making sure my time spent here was wonderful. This is a first time staying in downtown New Bern and I love the fact I could walk everywhere. It was such a treat. Perfect location and terrific host makes it a place I plan to return.

We loved this place. It was clean, comfortable, it had everything that we needed, it’s walking distance to nice places to eat and drink, that are right on the water and it has a pool!!!

We had a great experience in this cozy waterfront condo! There were lots of activities to do around the area, but we also felt comfortable staying in and taking in all the beautiful nature. We will certainly be back!

Fantastic stay! Fantastic, relaxing setting.... we loved the view of the water. There were some cute Easter decorations inside. The two dogs that live there are amazing! We missed our dogs so much and loved that theirs came to visit! Perfect stay for our family!

Great place. Right next to clubhouse. Being able to use the club amenities is a major plus. Had a round of golf which was great. Nice view of the marina. Not busy even on Memorial Day. Good value. Would book again.

We had a wonderful stay! The property was peaceful and private with a beautiful view right next to the canal. My kids especially had a blast fishing off the dock — it quickly became their favorite part of the trip. The setting was perfect for relaxing and spending quality time together. We would definitely love to come back!

The home was beautiful, very clean, comfortable and very well appointed. Beautiful scenery and water views. Our host Anne was great to deal with, very responsive and accommodating. Would definitely recommend.

Our family enjoyed the convenience to the family that we were visiting, and everything was clean and working properly. There is a faucet in the kitchen sink that has the valves reversed from a normal installation, but I figured that out. There were plenty of chairs on the deck and the house was interestingly appointed and homey. I need a bit more light and I thought it could have been more bright in the master bedroom. The only thing my elderly mother complained about was that there was a flight of stairs to climb to get to the bathroom. Not much can be done about that, so I think it is a nice house to stay in and we would do it again. Mom probably won't make another trip there anyway. The A/C system works well and you can change the temps in various rooms. Kept us cool all the time.

Mel’s place was great with plenty of room for me and my coworkers. Beds were comfortable, bathrooms and kitchen were clean. Couldn’t have asked for much more. Would be a great place to stay for a getaway.

Great location! Can’t beat having a private quiet beach

This was our second family vacation to this rental and we were not disappointed. we watched the dolphins while drinking coffee off the balcony. walked down to the beach every day and enjoyed the convenience of having everything just steps away. Christine has chairs and beach toys available for you to use so it's perfect if you're flying in. I cannot recommend this place enough!

We had the most incredible stay at this stunning beachfront Airbnb in North Topsail Beach! From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the breathtaking views of the ocean. Waking up to the sound of waves and sipping coffee on the private deck as the sun rose over the water felt like a dream. The apartment itself is beautifully maintained and thoughtfully decorated, with a cozy coastal vibe that instantly makes you feel at home. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed, and the living space was ideal for relaxing after a day in the sun.

Absolutely amazing stay. The place was awesome and so were the views. Alan was the perfect host. Gave us great recommendations and responded insanely quick. 10/10 would recommend anyone to stay here!

Great place to stay. Very relaxing. High tide is right up to the sandbags so you can access the beach until later in the morning which was fine for us. After that the beach is open all day. Highly recommend this place. We will be back.

This is very comfortable and convenient to the beach, and the kitchen was well-stocked. My kids and I loved the pool.

Had read reviews about the high tide and although it came up to the stairs it wasn’t a problem at all. Great location… nice and quiet. The bed was super comfortable. It rained the whole time we were there so we stayed in the majority of our stay. Not much to do on the island when it’s rainy but still a good getaway.

The condo was clean upon arrival, and the view was amazing! Lisa was very prompt at answering any questions. The balcony was small but still very nice, and the chairs were more comfortable than the normal wooden balcony chairs that have been at other rentals. It was very quiet, you couldn't hear anything from any neighboring condos. I would definitely stay here again if I chose to vacation in Atlantic Beach again.
