Family-friendly holiday rentals in Jackson County

My husband and I with our 4 kids and 2 inlaws had plenty of space to move around and still have private sleeping quarters. we would recommend this home to anyone wanting to visit this area. Also had easy and great communication with host. wendi

It was a great house for my bachelorette trip! Lots of space and bathrooms, plus a huge dining area for everyone to fit at!

Just stayed here with a friend for 2 nights. It was close to downtown Galena. The room was very clean and had everything we needed. We were happy that the pool was open (by appointment) We look forward to returning!

Great place to stay very close to downtown Galena.

My husband and I had one of the romantic evenings ever staying here. Absolutely everything was perfect. We walked to the restaurant, Highlands, and enjoyed a wonderful dinner on the golf course and a bottle of wine without the worry of driving. The bathtub & fireplace were everything!! Worth every penny & more!

This place was amazing! Fireplace. Bigger than expected. Very clean. The hospitality was dope! Great view of the "mountains" . Pretty cool experience. The extra pull out bed is such a nice touch!

What a great place and great hosts! Nice of Don to share history of the place. One of the best stocked places we've stayed. Also very clean with plenty of bedding and towels! The barn located behind is wonderful--great pizza, great beers and plenty of room. Truly one of the best places we've stayed.

Jan’s condo is a perfect location for galena. It’s not far from downtown or Eagle Ridge. It’s like the comfort of home without being home.

Your place was so Retro!! We loved it !! Needs a fire pit and more outside backyard chairs. We really enjoyed the town and loved the view of the Mississippi River. The park across the street was amazing!!! We had the other guests from the other unit walk into our unit 2 times while we were there.

Our stay at the Bird Cottage was great! We can see why it’s earned so many glowing reviews. The house was exactly what we needed for a relaxing getaway—both spacious and cozy, and very accommodating. The views of the Driftless Region’s rolling hills were beautiful in every direction, and the bird activity around the property added an extra layer of charm. We’d definitely love to return.

This place is a beautiful little getaway. Right up the road from the river, it is peaceful and quiet. Lots of fun architecture to see in town and the river walk is lovely. Our dogs were welcomed which made the trip 10x more enjoyable. The house is cozy, warm and feels very much like home. Sue has an entry table in the home with suggestions for local activities, eateries, shopping which was nice to refer to. Overall we were happy with the space. It was nice to know that Sue was in the house next door for questions, but she very much provided privacy unlike some places I’ve stayed. I highly recommend!

Jan was great!! The place messed up our room but she did her best to make it right. We appreciate her attention and her desire to fix the situation.

Fred's place is such a cute oasis for anyone seeking a nice weekend getaway alone or for two. We took advantage of the jetted tub and fire place our entire stay, and were able to check out the pool and gym as well. We wanted to cook all our meals there due to covid, and the place was equipped with everything we needed. It was a perfect 10 mins from Galena's Main Street which also made it really convenient. I would definitely look to stay here again if I ever find myself back in Galena.

Great place to stay while visiting Galena especially if you plan on golfing at Eagle Ridge!

Everything was clean and as detailed in the listing. The jetted tub was fabulous and the room temperature was perfect upon arrival. It is a little ways from downtown Galena, but there are two cab companies in town that were fairly easy to get ahold of. Great trip!

This was a great place to spend the weekend. We had 6 couple stay here and it comfortably for us all. The girls spend the days hiking with goats and in the close vineyard, while the guys spent the weekend golfing. The house is in a great location and was a great place to come back to and relax for the evening. The hot tub is also a lot bigger than the pictures make it look. Linda was also very quick to respond to any questions we had which was greatly appreciated. We will definitely be back!
