Hurricane update: We are very fortunate not to have sustained any damage. The pictures give an accurate depiction of the area. We have electricity, water, internet and cell service. Set in a pretty garden, 75 yards from the road, it enjoys access to 50 acres and private walks. Enjoy birdsong and wildlife while relaxing on the deck. Our cabin is in the woods just up the hill from the river. The river is great for wading and fishing. There is also picnic areas at the river with chairs, tables, fire pits, and plenty of trees to hang a hammock. This property has a main house. The parking area and the cabin are on the lower level of the house. There is a sidewalk that goes past the house to the cabin. The cabin has it's own private area with a side yard, outdoor furniture and a firepit.

Dan’s cabin was everything I hoped for and more. From the moment I arrived, it was clear that this place was thoughtfully designed for peace, comfort, and total relaxation. Tucked away in a quiet, private spot surrounded by trees and nature, it felt like I had my own little sanctuary—completely unplugged from the stress of everyday life. The cabin itself is incredibly charming—rustic in all the right ways but still stocked with modern comforts. It was spotless when I arrived, and everything felt warm and inviting. The bed was super comfortable, the kitchen had everything I needed, and I really appreciated the little touches Dan included.

The pictures don’t do this place enough justice, like genuinely. The place is VERY VERY private for the most part. And it is also very MAGICAL! I couldn’t stop staring off into the mountains in the distance. The inside of the dome was overly comfortable lol. I never wanted to get out of the bed because it was so comfy and warm from the sun entering the front of the dome. The dome has everything you can think of to make your stay easy and enjoyable. The shower was amazing! I recommend waiting to take a shower when the sun is beaming down, so the water is “Steamy hot”. But the water was at 97Fh in the morning time which is more than enough hot for me. Wood stove heater was very tricky but he was extremely helpful with tips to get it going. Once it’s going it’s smooth sailing. It is boarding with someone else’s property. Heard and seen people walking that property but they kept a respectful distance from the fence. Even with that you could barely see them with all the trees.

This lovely place is a gem! We have stayed at many Airbnbs and Deborah's please stands out for how responsive she was as a host while completely respecting our privacy, how beautiful and spacious the place was, and how spotlessly clean and inviting they made it. We enjoyed cooking in the open kitchen, which had everything we needed. The bed is very comfortable and the bathroom felt like a luxury hotel. I really can't say enough great things about the place, they have put a lot of thought and care into making it a great experience. And it's only 20 minutes to Asheville! Highly recommended!

We had a lovely stay. The place is just like the pictures, the view is beautiful. We enjoyed being outside on the swinging bench and in the evenings sitting by the fireplace looking at the stars. The inside had everything we needed. When we had questions they were very responsive, would definitely come back again!

My husband and I loved staying here! It was absolutely beautiful. The space is so creative and cozy. You truly are off grid and that calls for lots of creativity in many different situations. Definitely somewhere I’d recommend if you enjoy the outdoors.
