Holiday rentals with outdoor seating in Island of Hawai'i

The property was wonderful. It was clean and in a quiet location with amazing views.

Where do I even start? What a magical home with lush landscaping. Waking up to large windows that look out to the ocean was priceless. The location was quiet and safe and close to many activities we wanted to do in Kona. The beds were very comfortable as well. The pool was nice to cool off in after a long day but keep in mind it is not heated so depending on the time of day or sunlight it may be too cold for some. Also, being in such a lush tropical landscape with a large natural area behind the house there are birds and frogs making noise in the evening, which can be calming to some (like us) or can be too loud for others. When we visit the Big Island again this would be number 1 option for our stay.

Fantastic stay - best place to stay on the Big Island! What an amazing location, with a fantastic view! Private and relaxing, looking out onto coffee trees and the ocean. The place is everything that's promised and more. Great kitchen for cooking dinner if you don't feel like going out, an amazing outdoor shower, a GIANT TV for the times you want to just relax, and outdoor space that's private and tranquil. Everyone I communicated with was immediately responsive, and had suggestions for places to go (especially coffee farms), and responded very quickly. I can't recommend this place enough - we may be coming back again and staying here if it's available again! PS - the frogs: some people may love them, some may not like the noise. I didn't mind them at all at night, and had a white noise app in case they were very vocal (especially after the rain). Never did see one. Oh! And considering it's in the upcountry, no bugs/minimal wildlife, nothing to stress you out!

First thing I must say is that the beds were very comfortable! The location was great, not too far from Kona activity but far enough away you can feel like you’re in the quiet country. (Minus the charming frogs at night but it was cool enough to shut the windows). Excellent view of the ocean. Having laundry was so helpful. We had 5 people there. A little tight… perfect for 4 but it was fine for 5 using pull out couch. Would definitely stay again!

We had a wonderful 7 day stay. Our 3 boys (16, 13, and 10) spent hours on the diving board and in the pool. Sandra’s place had everything we needed for beach trips, including beach chairs, wagon, umbrella, cooler and beach towels. I was so happy to have a washing machine to wash out the sandy towels and suits after our beach trips. It was a 5-10 minute trip for Costco,-target and Walmart and a 30-40 minute trip to Hāpuna Beach (don’t miss the Malsada stand on the highway on your way). We would come back to the house to cook supper, swim more in the pool, and watch the sunset from the beautiful yard. We also got a lot of use out of the basketball net in the driveway, and volleyball net in the side yard. Sandra was extremely helpful with all aspects of our stay, including local recommendations. Would definitely stay again if on the Big Island!

What a nice to stay to be close to both Maunakea and Volcano. Very convenient if you want to tour these places at a very reasonable price. Serine place with frog and bird sounds to fall asleep.

My wife and I spent four nights in the penthouse unit of Jenn and Kristian’s beautiful home. We loved our time there. The unit was in good condition and comfortably furnished and the private rooftop terrace was perfect for early morning stargazing.

Great place to stay. The house was clean and super comfortable with all the amenities in excellent condition. You can hear the neighbors downstairs if there happens to be guess staying at the same time because the whole structure is wood and off the ground and the sound carries. It’s something to be aware of, however the place is while worth it. The outside deck is as wonderful as the rest of the house. Very happy with the experience.

Great place to stay located nearby both Volcanoes National Park and Hilo. The unit was clean and comfortable and located in a quiet neighborhood. The host was very easy to communicate with and replied quickly on questions. Great place to stay outside of town and would recommend again.

My second time here -- the best house, with the kindest hosts. Well-stocked kitchen and living space, and I love this neighborhood so much.

We really enjoyed Kathy’s condo. It was close to all of our snorkeling tours. Kathy is a very responsive host and gave great recommendations for food and activities. Thank you for a wonderful visit!

Super clean, excellent and pristine furniture. The garden and the surrounding were fascinating. I was surprised to learn that we're allowed to use the barbecue grill and the bon fire but unfortunately had little time to use as there are a lot of things to do at the Big Island. Hopefully next time! Thanks for the beautiful stay!

This is a great place to stay if you want to discover the Kona area. Secluded, cozy, and comfortable! It’s about 15 minutes away from a lot of snorkeling activities and 30 minutes from downtown Kona.

It was a great experience! The garden is beautiful, the house is spacious, and the host responds quickly.

Wow and wow! Joyce and Zac have gone above and beyond to create a space that is comfortable and private. While the accommodations are indeed attached to their home, the retreat presents like a private apartment. The kitchen is well-stocked, making it easy to cook in for meals, if desired. Nothing has been forgotten concerning the little touches that make traveling easier, so we would consider this rental much better than a hotel. There is no air-conditioning, but numerous fans are provided and we were comfortable during our June stay. The online pictures very accurately depict what you'll see when you arrive. Check-in and check-out was a breeze. We whole-heartedly recommend this rental and plan to return on our next trip to Kona.

We loved staying at Vincent's place. Very clean, comfortable furniture, great kitchen, and amazing location. It's a 15 minute walk or a 3-minute drive to A-Bay, which is a wonderful and calm beach for swimming. The condo was stocked with chairs, umbrellas, and towels, even boogie boards and snorkels. Great location, we loved exploring the Kohala Coast and the surrounding beaches, and there is good food within Waikoloa Beach and in the surrounding resorts. AC kept things comfortable and we loved the shaded patio for breakfast. Thanks for a great stay and I hope we get to come back!

The place was beautiful and really close to downtown Hilo. Carrie was very helpful and gave some helpful tips. Would stay there again anytime.

The beach gear was so much fun for our beach days, the location was great and close to pretty much everything we wanted to do on the trip, we loved our morning coffee on the lanai, and the decor was a plus, loved it all! Beautiful stay. Beautiful majestic views and conveniently located close to the airport and Kona activities. The place was clean and had everything one could need. The kitchen was useful for cooking our own meals and the bed was comfortable to sleep in. I also loved seeing the little animals in the neighbors yard next door. The place had extra towels, blankets and other supplies you may need that made this place a great stay. I highly recommend.

Our stay here was perfect. Location was amazing right by the beach at a peaceful community, great for viewing sunrise/sunset. The place was just as pictured, very clean and had everything we needed. Highly recommend!

Excellent location for all you may want to do in Kona. Beautiful view of ocean. All the amenities made our stay extra special. Davide has thought of everything. Sand toys, snorkels, cooler, telescope for dolphin watching, he has it all. The Green Flash Coffee right next store was super convenient to go to for breakfast every morning and was delicious. Would stay again.

place was beautiful! spacious and very well kept. location was great just a few minutes from the hustle and bustle of the strip down the road. host was responsive and helpful!

We read reviews about bugs and a bad smell, however we had no issues with either. Place felt very clean and smelled great, has all the amenities and appliances that we needed. Even had a boogie board in the closet that we could use which was fun! Overall great place, right by tons of restaurants and stores as well as the shoreline.
