Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Island of Hawai'i

It was a great place close to the airport while having easy access to everything. Very clean and the beach equipment was amazing to have during our stay. Highly recommend!

Overall, I was very satisfied. First, Joseph welcomed us very kindly and explained things to us kindly. Second, the living room and kitchen were clean. Third, the bedroom and bathroom were also clean and well organized. A place I look forward to visiting again next year.

We had a wonderful 7 day stay. Our 3 boys (16, 13, and 10) spent hours on the diving board and in the pool. Sandra’s place had everything we needed for beach trips, including beach chairs, wagon, umbrella, cooler and beach towels. I was so happy to have a washing machine to wash out the sandy towels and suits after our beach trips. It was a 5-10 minute trip for Costco,-target and Walmart and a 30-40 minute trip to Hāpuna Beach (don’t miss the Malsada stand on the highway on your way). We would come back to the house to cook supper, swim more in the pool, and watch the sunset from the beautiful yard. We also got a lot of use out of the basketball net in the driveway, and volleyball net in the side yard. Sandra was extremely helpful with all aspects of our stay, including local recommendations. Would definitely stay again if on the Big Island!

We loved our stay! Very peaceful. Emily addressed all of concerns regarding the active volcano and was very informative. While the place is secluded, her instructions given to us made it very easy to locate. Took her recommendation of getting a vehicle with 4WD and very thankful we did! The pigs and chirping frogs were an added bonus!

Wonderful place for our several days there. Fantastic view and very spacious. Several restaurants were in town. Waimea had few tourists but still was close to several small out-of-the-way towns we otherwise would not have thought of to visit.

Lumin's place could not have been more perfect for a few days exploring Volcano and the Hilo area. Super comfy bed, nice clean space, and great views of the Hawaiian forest :) And only 5 minutes from the entrance to Volcanoes National Park!

My wife and I spent four nights in the penthouse unit of Jenn and Kristian’s beautiful home. We loved our time there. The unit was in good condition and comfortably furnished and the private rooftop terrace was perfect for early morning stargazing.

Beautiful place. So much light and the fireplace and porch made everything feel so cozy. We loved the bedroom and the ease of opening windows to listen to birds. Quiet. Didn’t hear the neighbor at all. Close to the park. We would definitely stay here again.

Pretty convenient location if you are visiting the Volcano national park. The town is small, but has grocery store, gas station, and a couple of restaurants. Hilo has more restaurants options, which is around 15 mins away. Pretty beautiful place to stay.

Beautiful views surrounded by ʻōhiʻa in bloom. Wendy was responsive and friendly. Would definitely recommend!

We really enjoyed Kathy’s condo. It was close to all of our snorkeling tours. Kathy is a very responsive host and gave great recommendations for food and activities. Thank you for a wonderful visit!

Super clean, excellent and pristine furniture. The garden and the surrounding were fascinating. I was surprised to learn that we're allowed to use the barbecue grill and the bon fire but unfortunately had little time to use as there are a lot of things to do at the Big Island. Hopefully next time! Thanks for the beautiful stay!

I enjoyed my stay in Kona. This place was exactly as advertised and looked just like the pictures. Thomas was super proactive and responsive to all of my needs. Check in was easy and clear instruction for check in and check out were provided. Amenities included a wide selection of beach items which was fantastic. Location was wonderful with walkable access to several popular but never crowded beaches. Private parking was a plus. I recommend.

The place was beautiful and very comfortable to stay in. The kitchen was well-equipped, which made cooking easy. The outdoor shower and washer/dryer were clean and convenient. The staff was very friendly and helpful. This unit is part of a building with other units. When there were guests upstairs, we could clearly hear kids running from the bedroom, but quiet hours were well respected. We drove an AWD SUV, which was helpful for getting to the house—not just because of the steep road, but also because the pavement wasn’t in great condition. We had to slow down when turning in from Mamalahoa Highway; otherwise, the bottom of the car could scrape. We still really enjoyed our stay surrounded by beautiful trees, and we’d love to come back again!

I absolutely loved staying here! The place was so cozy and welcoming. It had everything I needed and more. The location was fantastic too - close to Hāpuna beach . I couldn't have asked for a better place to call home during my trip. I would highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for a perfect airbnb! This is my second time staying here 🤗

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay! The location couldn’t have been more perfect. It had a great view of the ocean, sunset, walking distance to a ton of restaurants, coffee shops and along the beautiful coastal strip. We felt right at home and it was a great place to experience The Big Island 🏝️ Mahalo!

We loved staying at Vincent's place. Very clean, comfortable furniture, great kitchen, and amazing location. It's a 15 minute walk or a 3-minute drive to A-Bay, which is a wonderful and calm beach for swimming. The condo was stocked with chairs, umbrellas, and towels, even boogie boards and snorkels. Great location, we loved exploring the Kohala Coast and the surrounding beaches, and there is good food within Waikoloa Beach and in the surrounding resorts. AC kept things comfortable and we loved the shaded patio for breakfast. Thanks for a great stay and I hope we get to come back!

Great value for money Perfect location walkable and overlooking the ocean Marie is very kind and checks in all the time. Very convenient and max value - only thing I would say is couch is not as comfortable to sleep on but again can’t beat the value for money

We read reviews about bugs and a bad smell, however we had no issues with either. Place felt very clean and smelled great, has all the amenities and appliances that we needed. Even had a boogie board in the closet that we could use which was fun! Overall great place, right by tons of restaurants and stores as well as the shoreline.

This condo was perfect for our Honeymoon! It was an end unit and provided amazing private views of the sunset every night. We didn’t close the glass doors once during our stay, as the ocean sounds and breeze were lovely. It was a quick drive to most “touristy” activities, like snorkeling, walking food tour, coffee farm tour, shopping, beaches, etc. Also I would definitely recommend reading the guestbook for the great food and activity recommendations from previous guests!
