Townhome holiday rentals in Illinois

We had a blast for our weekend! This is a fabulous location, with all the amenities we needed. We all felt like we had our own space and enjoyed the layout.

We loved this full home. I booked this home for my parents and family to call home base during my wedding weekend. It was perfect, lots of space and common areas for family and family friends to gather and socialize. Nancy was super kind and helpful as well in the check-in process. Everything smooth and seamless! You get to lakeshore in minutes, the location is excellent to be in the city but a little removed from the chaos. Nice quiet street. We loved it and recommend this for any large family trips especially! Thank you Nancy!

Great stop on Route 66. Look forward to our next visit, oh and did I mention pinball and arcade games and the huge TV…. I could go on, but you get the idea - top notch !!!

We were a party of 8 humans and 2 dogs, staying for the weekend. Our family had plenty of space, and the outdoor patio was a nice bonus. The kitchen was well-equipped with coffee and tea, nice new appliances, lots of dishes and utensils (we did not need a melon baller, but she had one in case we needed it!). We found it really easy to get to the L, and also convenient for walking. It was such a relief to park once and not have to drive at all. The street was nice and quiet (I mean, there were trains, because Chicago ☺️). It felt very safe, so we were comfortable taking the dogs on walks anytime. Alexandra communicated with me really well leading up to our stay, and stayed in touch throughout. We made a lot of memories, and the lovely accommodations were part of that.

We had a lovely stay at Joyce’s place! It is a very ideal location for those attending any events at the United Center, and it has plenty of nearby bus/train lines that can take you right to downtown! Joyce was very responsive and helpful throughout our trip, and her place was very comfortable and welcoming. I highly recommend this listing!

We had stayed in the Galena Preserve a year ago to attend a wedding nearby. Loved the area, loved the townhouse! Fell in love with Trolley Coffee ( now Wired Rabbit) & Otto's Place in Galena & wanted another opportunity to enjoy their hospitality! So comfortable to have a 2 bedroom unit with kitchen & living space, a great place to stretch out & relax in the evening! Beautiful trees & green grass...home away from home!

This was a great place to stop as we were traveling to go to a family function. It was quite and and comfortable for our one night stay :)

As Airbnb first timers, Marco & Sarah made a great impression. They were such considerate hosts and accommodating to our situation. They were responsive to all of our questions, from booking through checkout. Their home was clean & cozy; the perfect place to relax and unwind. It was bright, with lots of windows to let in light. The decor was peaceful. The fragrance in the rooms reminded us of a spa, as did the amazing rain shower head in the main bathroom. Guests will appreciate so many amenities, like AC/heat and fans; hand soap/body wash/shampoo/conditioner in the bathrooms; a full kitchen with utensils, gadgets & pans to use, including a Keurig coffee maker and electric kettle; a full washer and dryer w/ detergent; a few games; use of random pantry items; baby & toddler amenities/utensils; even q-tips, tissues and a loofah. Note- there are 2 sets of tall stairs in the unit, but they are sturdy. And, if you come home late at night, you will find parking, but at the end of the street.

This place is clean and cute. Great communication with Jess. Easy check-in. We will definitely be back!

Great place, inside was spotless and smelled great! Katie met us on the front porch and gave us great ideas for dining, which all were in walking distance. She even sent me a color coded diagram on how to work the shower! Stayed here for work and will definitely stay here again!

This was our 4th visit. James’ lovely home is our “go-to” place when we visit family here. James is a wonderful, responsive host who always makes us feel welcome. Thanks for another great stay.

Our family was glad with our stay. We got everything we need. Our host was very nice she checked on us if everything was ok or do we need anything else during our stay.

Jeff’s place is very nice. Conveniently located within beautiful surroundings yet close to many restaurants and resources. The kitchen is well appointed and the home is exceptionally decorated. This is a gem to rent. Very high value rental. He was very responsive in our questions.

Galena is one of our favorite places to visit. We loved the peace and quiet of the area, while still being close to town. The place was clean and had everything we needed. We especially liked the assortment of board games and played several. We would definitely stay there again!

We had originally booked 2 nights, but had such a great time and felt so at home staying at Michael's place that we decided to extend our stay for an extra night. It felt so peaceful and relaxing and even the kids were begging to stay another day. Luckily it was available. Everything was very clean and we loved the style and decor of the house. The view from the balcony was beautiful and perfect for enjoying an early morning cup of coffee. The house had everything we needed for our stay with kids and dogs. The kids loved that we had access to the pool at the owners club and the dogs loved taking walks down the path by the lake. Also, Michael was very responsive throughout our stay. We had an issue with one of the TV's and within 10-15 minutes the maintenance guy was there and able to get it up and running. This place is definitely at the top of our list the next time we visit Galena!

Julie’s place was absolutely amazing! Everything matched the description perfectly — clean, cozy, and full of charm. It made our stay in Galena so special. Julie was a wonderful host, and we would definitely stay here again!

Stayed at Heather's place for a wedding weekend at the White Pines state park nearby and it was a great time. Really got to experience the charm of Oregon's little downtown which was walkable and cute. Had a blast at the bar/grill across the street and felt right at home. Great stay!

I had a wonderful stay with my family. The location is great and the host was very responsive- there was a problem with the AC when we checked in and the next day the host had someone in to fix it and by the afternoon all was well! Would definitely stay again.

We had a great stay at the Lucky Penny! Kelly made everything about the stay a breeze, and is a wonderful host who has clearly put a lot of effort and thought into her place and welcoming her guests. Her home is clean and so much fun to hang out in, especially on the rooftop balcony. We loved the neighborhood, and were easily able to get to attractions around the city. Overall this place is an absolute gem, our kids had a blast and said if we ever come back we 100% have to stay here again!
