Booked well in advance with great communication with Stephanie & Peter. Once there was blown away because the pictures truly do not do it justice. The space was beautiful, clean and organized, it was amazing having lots of plates, utensils, condiments, lots of towels and blankets available. The hot tub was full and clean. The view was just so stunning to wake up to every morning. It was very peaceful! I will be rebooking. Thank you Stephanie & Peter for the hospitality and allowing us into your space to celebrate our anniversary. Truly exceptional!

We had an excellent time at Birchwood. The cabin is cozy and clean and the property is well maintained. The location is incredible, right on a beautiful lake with lots of privacy. The owners are friendly and accomodating. Can't recommend enough.

This property was amazing. So secluded. Very clean and comfortable and has an amazing trail system that we walked every morning just to take in the peacefulness. We will certainly be returning to this property in the future!

Joseph’s place is a charming cottage situated a short drive from downtown Halifax, extremely close to grocery stores. It sits on a picturesque cove with unobstructed views of the rugged landscape and water. The cottage has every amenity one could want, including a hot tub. My husband and I enjoyed sharing a glass of wine under the stars while listening to the waves crashing on the rocks. Our family enjoyed sharing time together in the living areas and preparing a meal together in the well equipped kitchen. The beds were incredibly comfortable! We wish we had stayed longer to enjoy all the hiking trails and sightseeing in the area.

This adorable and extremely well laid out cottage was fantastic. Lots of room, beautifully decorated and very comfortable and inviting. Also a beautiful location and very relaxing. Cant wait to go back

Place was great, had no problems finding it. Perfect for a night away with friends. My fiance loved all the small details walking in the door from music, lights and smell. Swings were a great touch! Great place to get away to relax

Herring Hole was a beautiful choice! You can’t go wrong! From spacious surroundings, to cozy decor and an inviting deck overlooking the bay, to a genuine experience of a small coastal fishing village, this place checked all the boxes!! It’s about a 25 minute drive to Halifax but the scenery is beautiful so time travels by quickly! We would book this place again without any further thought! Kim even had freshly ground coffee available for our morning coffees on the deck!

Stayed here for the second time, beautiful spot even in the dead of winter!

Stone's Throw cottage is like a home away from home for me. I have been visiting annually for a number of years and no place could match it. Joe is the super host of super hosts - he has thought of everything and goes above and beyond to make sure his guests have a truly memorable experience. As always, I arrived to the most thoughtful treats - including fresh eggs, bread, butter, coffee, cookies, a candle, and more - and all of it local, too! I left relaxed, refreshed, and already planning for next year. Thanks, Joe!

We felt right at home at this place. The home is exceptionally well taken care of from the thoughtful decor to the clean and updated kitchen and bathrooms. Our family had so much fun in the lake and really appreciated all the floaties, life jackets, and the paddle board. The location was very private and peaceful. The home was also full of extra thoughtful touches such as plenty of kids toys and even some sealed gluten free products in the kitchen which we greatly appreciated as my wife has celiac disease. The best part of our trip was by far enjoying the home and its amenities!

The Loch was exactly what we needed..peaceful, relaxing and healing! The lake is beautiful! Took advantage of the warm May weather and experienced the kayak. Enjoyed watching the water plane take off!! Forest lined Road is beautiful for an early morning walk (with our Great Dane who also enjoyed the lake house!!)..in either direction and the neighbors are so friendly! The property itself it exquisite...modern, clean, comfortable with idyllic views of the lake from any angle! lots of feathered visitors (ducks, loons, and Canada geese + with their babies in tow). The surrounding villages and towns are fun to explore..lots of great shops restaurants and experiences. Highly recommend Foc'c'sle Village Pub in Chester (oldest in Nova Scotia!) and the Four Points Vintage Market Antique Mall in Blockhouse is full of treasures!! Overall a great destination!!!! So glad to have had the opportunity to experience this piece of paradise!

Great place with an outstanding hosts. Instructions were simple and clear. View of the water is beautiful with lots of wildlife in the area. Plenty to do or not to do if you choose.

This was the perfect rustic get-away! The kids had so much to do, and mom and dad had lots of space to relax. The diving dock was a hit (even in the cold) and kayaks were awesome! The boat washroom at the beach was such a nice touch and was super clean, the beach toys and kids toys in the cabin were great. I’m so thankful to have had an affordable place to unplug with my family- Thank you Keith and Sarah!!

Beautiful location, great place, and <15 minutes to restaurants and shops. We stayed with our family of 4 and truly enjoyed every minute!! The house has the most breathtaking views- you can see both sunrise and sunset at this time of year (June). Thoughtful items throughout the house, including puzzles and fun books and extremely clean linens. Also, I appreciated the windows and curtains for privacy, if needed. Thank you so much!

Rob and Jacquie responded to our every question with professionalism and positivity. Our stay was absolutely wonderful. We enjoyed the lake the outdoor fire pit,the view, the kitchen. Cozy, extremely clean and very well equipped. Beautiful property with, and neighbouring undeveloped lots with, treed primary, intermediate and the occasional old growth forest, including mostly red maple, white birch, eastern hemlock, balsam fir, black and red spruce and eastern white pine. That was the view from the hot tub overlooking the small lake. Perfectly nestled feeling, good bird watching and close to day trips and amenities.

Loved this place. Beautiful surroundings. Great recommendations for things to do and places to eat. Responsive for small changes/ questions we had and we would recommend this spot in a heart beat!

This place was incredible! Close enough to Halifax to enjoy the city but remote and quaint to enjoy the seaside life. The accommodation was very well stocked with coffee, milk, bread, treats! Highly recommend!

This place is stunning! Within 5 minutes of arriving we knew this was going to be a great trip. Richie was very helpful and the arrival was smooth. The location is so picturesque; the view is amazing. The 3 beaches are completely private. The walk through the small path to the rocks was a great discovery and we spent time just sitting on the rocks enjoying the scenery. The house is beautiful and everything you could possibly need was provided. Even the towels were so soft and fluffy. The wood burning stove was a real treat on a chilly evening. The house is spotlessly clean and very well decorated. It’s a quiet area but not far from Peggy’s Cove or Halifax. Overall I can recommend this property enough. If Richie ever decides to sell I’ll be first in the queue. Overall a fantastic stay and we’ll definitely be back. Thanks Richie :)

We had a wonderful stay. Immaculate, view was breathtaking very comfortable beds & furniture!! We had everything we needed for a long weekend!! The ONLY thing to note was the last 3-5 minutes of the drive to the cottage was a bit rough in spring. But would certainly not deter me from visiting again. Sonia was very responsive and friendly. Wifi connection was very good!

Rob’s lakeside cottage was beautiful! The cottage was well equipped and very clean. The outdoor space included a stunning stone patio, a fire pit and water equipment ( paddle board and floats) to enjoy the beautiful lake.

From the get go, Vicki was very responsive and extremely helpful. my dad and I were in a motorcycle trip so I had a lot of questions and Vicki was so helpful. Her cottage is absolutely amazing. There is a binder with all the information you could need, from how to work everything, to recommendations for absolutely everything local, even the closest hospital. The cottage has everything usually could possibly need, and then some. 10/10 I would recommend this cottage to everyone.
