Beautiful home, well maintained. Host was very proactive and even let us know that the area the home was had a power outage prior to our arrival which fortunately resolved by the time we arrived. Pool was a great temperature for dipping into after laying in the sun. Spacious living area. We would happily stay there again.

The view alone is worth the price! Everything was so lush and beautiful! We felt like we were in our very own private resort. We enjoyed the spacious house itself and the outdoor area. The pool was great and the beds were super comfortable! This was a great base to explore the entire Big Island of Hawaii! I would recommend this home to anyone! Just book it already!

Beautiful home and wonderful host. We had everything we needed or could ask for. Mari was a perfect host answering any questions, providing many local recommendations and even met us at checkin to show us her home. The view was magnificent, opening the doors in the morning and sipping on coffee on the deck watching the sun rise was my daily ritual. It was a nice surprise to have chairs and snorkeling equipment available to us. Grocery and Walmart minutes away for quick pickup items. The must see sights were just 10-20 minutes away. We visited the caves, snorkeling in the bay, national park and the gardens.

We enjoyed the private and peaceful location and it worked out well for our brief stay on that side of the island with a reasonable drive to some areas that were just too far from the west side of the island. The bed was comfortable and we appreciated the AC as my husband gets hot and sweaty at night without it. The frogs were loud at night but the fan helped cover the noise so we appreciated it. We didn't get the chance to meet our hosts but had a great stay overall and would happily stay again in the future.

Beautiful home on the peaceful Hamakua Coast. Our family enjoyed a wonderful and quiet staycation - the pool was delightful and temp was just right with the cool ocean breeze. Kitchen was stocked with basic essentials making cooking easy. Very comfortable sleep spaces - cool breeze at night with windows open. Loved every minute! Suzy was very friendly and responsive. The grounds were so beautiful - lots of flowers and fruits surrounding us. I highly recommend this home as your next getaway. I will stay here again. Thank you Suzy and Peter!

Very large 2 bedroom, 2 bath, 2 decks off the beaten path. Linens and robes were very soft, and slippers included. I appreciated the quintet of coffee brewing methods: French press, drip, percolator, and pour over.

This was a lovely setting with great accommodations. The pool was very clean. The house space was spacious. The kitchen was very well appointed with all the utensils and cookware one could hope for. We were very comfortable and would highly recommend it to others.

The home was gorgeous, clean, stylish, and thoughtfully designed. Located in a very safe and peaceful neighborhood, it was easy to find and felt welcoming from the moment we arrived. The host was extremely responsive and helpful throughout the stay, which made everything smooth and stress-free. While there was no A/C, opening the windows at night brought in a cool breeze that kept the space comfortable. We slept great and felt completely at ease. The home had everything we needed and more! Perfect for relaxing after a day out. We loved the natural light during the day and the quiet vibe of the area. It’s a great balance of comfort, beauty, and convenience. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful and well-managed place to stay.

Absolutely beautiful home, exactly as the photos show and as described. Located in a lovely neighborhood and a great place to unplug and unwind. Spotty cell service (as expected for the location) but WiFi was excellent and allowed us to make calls if needed, plus there is a landline if needed. All amenities a traveler could need, including beach towels, toiletries, and spices/cooking supplies. Loved the nightlife (literal nightlife like frogs singing the song of their people at night). We felt safe and comfortable in this luxurious hideaway! Would definitely stay again! Yvette was also a great cohost who offered lots of tips for restaurants and sightseeing! We found them very useful and her local insight made our trip even better!

We booked The Whale House for our Big Island stay. Only four of us were there - 3 kids and an adult - but this house could easily hold several more. We used the 2 bedrooms on the main floor and one of the bedrooms on the lower floor. Each bedroom comes with its own bathroom, which felt like such a luxury coming from city living. My daughter loved the decor. She enjoyed that each room had its own theme. We were in the dolphin room. The kitchen is very well stocked. The garage has beach chairs, snorkeling equipment, coolers, and other beach supplies that came in handy as we explored. The backyard was so lovely. We enjoyed exploring the different flowers and plants. The view of the ocean is unmatched. The sunrise and moonrise were both visible and stunning. We were so lucky to find the Whale House.

This home is well appointed and so very comfortable. The quiet neighborhood makes you feel like a local. We loved the short jaunts into Hilo or Volcano NP. So much to see and do on the Island's east side and this place was amazing. Whether hiking at the national park, going to the zoo, experiencing South Point, or visiting Hilo, driving time is minimal. Another fabulous stay.

Beautiful house with tasteful furnishing. A bit cramped if the tv is pulled out because the tv is set up on a rollable cabinet but still very beautiful and comfortable place to use as base for exploring the volcano national park. Host is friendly and communicative.

Joe & Cindy’s home was absolutely breathtaking. Photos cannot possibly do justice to the beautiful view and immaculate home. Our hosts were very responsive and friendly. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Lovely home! 2 adults, 3 kids age 12-19 stayed for a few nights. Amenities for all. Nintendo a hit. Yoga mats a treat, ping pong fun, beautiful back deck view. This place is in a quiet residential neighborhood and was a garden sanctuary to rest and relax with our family after a day of exploring. The first day of our trip we didn’t even get out until 3pm because we felt so at home! Nice kitchen, well stocked. Great laundry room. Easy drive to town. Got a bunch of interesting fruits at the Saturday farmers market in Hilo and feasted on them outside on the back deck table watching the birds. Garden paradise. Peaceful and relaxing home. The frogs are loud at night, we loved it.

If I could give more than 5 stars I would. This place felt like home in a very quiet and beautiful neighborhood. It was so perfect for our needs. 2 hours to South Point area/Green Sand beach. Less than an hour to Volcano National Park. Half hour to Pahoa beaches and geothermal ponds. Super clean, well stocked with amenities, very responsive hosts. I would absolutely stay here again.

Lynne was super responsive and accommodating during our stay! The place itself is tucked away and cute, had everything we needed. It was a bit hot since there is no A/C but there are many fans to use. Appreciated how tranquil and quiet the area was!

Perfect place for our family of six spanning three generations. Great spot to explore the south and east side of the island. Volcano Nat Park was close by and Hilo definitely is a foodie paradise! More rain equals more vegetation and beautiful flora and fauna. Brian’s place manages to incorporate the amenities of modern luxury living with the surrounding natural wonders seamlessly.

Home just as pictured and described. A/C was such a relief with the tropical climate. Everything was very clean and welcoming. The master bedroom restroom had a very cool imitation of volcanic rock for the floor. Only *minor* issue would be the entrance to the driveway is a little on the steep side. we bottomed out our car on 2 occasions but as long as you take a really sharp approach angle when leaving, you'll be perfectly fine; or an suv/truck would have no issues at all. Overall, great stay and worth every dollar!

Hands down Jennifer is a super host. This is probably the nicest Airbnb space we’ve ever stayed in. She is very honest and the property even exceeds the description. Thanks for sharing your beautiful, restful home.

A lovely place that is even prettier and larger than it appears. Absolutely spotless and very comfortable, we felt right at home. It is incredibly well equipped, just about everything you would need for cooking, sleeping, beach going, etc. One of our favorite things was enjoying coffee and meals on the back lanai. We would definitely rent again!

If you love being surrounded with nature you will love this cute cottage. Not for from the main road for ease to Volcanos Park but was as if I was in another world. Very clean, cozy & comfortable. Loved the patio for chillin. Wish I could have stayed longer.

I mean ya’ll can see the photos, right. This place is drop-dead gorgeous. Well worth the price. Hosts responded immediately to messages and requests even late at night. We are really looking forward to come back to this paradise and bring more family members.
