Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Herefordshire

Excellent stay for a group of friends and babies! Andrew’s welcome and instructions very clear, house clean and well presented and location exactly what we were after! Highly recommend

Stayed for 1 night but could have stayed longer. Great base for Hereford and surrounding areas. Easy walk into centre for pubs, restaurants and shops. Spacious accommodation and very quiet street with permit parking. Hosts were very attentive and helpful.

Leeann was super communicative which made the trip, arrival and check in seamless. The home was perfect t for our lot and the kids loved their shared room which had a nook that became the centre of their hide and seek game. There was plenty of space in the house and a few touches like tea and coffee made it instantly feel like home. Our takeaway from this trip was the beauty of family which was mirrored with the ample space in the property which also somehow felt cosy. Do not hesitate to book this one, you will definitely not be disappointed.

This property is just fantastic. I can honestly say the best Airbnb I have ever stayed in. Location was tranquil and peaceful. House is spotless, every room was extremely clean. Great powerful shower. The property is a good size. We were only 3 people and was very spacious for us. Has its own private parking. Kitchen was lovely, and a great little garden, with beautiful views. We felt relaxed and chilled here. There is not a lot in the little village, there is a pub, but we knew that when booking and that's what sold it for us. We don't like busy towns, we wanted quiet. It is a great base to get about though. Not far from Hereford, and right on the Welsh border. Just down the road is Arthur's Stone which was really interesting to visit. We drove into Hay-on-Wye one evening, its about 15 mins down the road, lots of restaurants and fish shop. The Brecon Beacons were only an hour away. We also visited Puzzlewood, which is in the Forest of Dean, about an hour in the other direction.

We stayed for a weekend with friends, (four adults, four kids aged 3-6yrs ) the kids were so thrilled with the play area, especially the trampoline, the zip wire was a thrill, ours had to be supervised/ supported to use it as its very high but it was amazing none the less. The roaming peacocks/ chickens/ ducks made it feel magical. The accommodation was so homely, plenty of space to chill together. Beds were super comfy, decent shower. The bathroom has to accessed via one of the two double bedrooms so you need to be comfortable with whoever else is staying accessing your bedroom but this wasn’t an issue at all for us as we’re close friends. The kids loved bunking in together in the big bedroom (2 singles 1 double) & there were plenty of toys/ books available. Kitchen facilities were great and the big farmhouse table fitted all 8 of us. Peters family are next door so were pottering around and available for any questions/ issues. We had a brilliant time, highly recommend 😊

Absolutely loved our stay, such a beautiful peaceful place. Jamie is a super friendly person, and made us feel so welcome. So much wildlife as well, from a kingfisher to the regular grey wagtails and stunning setting, the vineyards and walk around the house was lovely. Couldn’t recommend this place enough.

Thank you to Suzanne for an amazing stay. It was very relaxing, not just because of the location and surroundings, but also because Suzanne provided everything we needed to settle after a long journey. Although we didn’t formally speak, we felt you were there if we needed anything and always responded almost immediately. You provided a lot of useful information including maps for local walks, shops etc. We liked that fact that we could walk out of the lodge and immediately find walking routes in any direction. We also liked that the garden was secure, one of our dogs is a little excitable and it was reassuring to know that she could venture in to the garden without worrying about what she was up to! All amenities were perfectly functional and of good quality. Comfortable bed, nice bathroom with good shower too. Thank you for a lovely stay. I would recommend Suzanne’s place to anyone who likes long scenic walks, relaxing, and escaping their busy lives in a beautiful location.

I enjoyed a lovely stay at Clementine Retreat. It was very clean and modern, and only a short walk from Ludlow town centre. The self check-in was easy, and Rebecca responded quickly when I contacted her. Very happy to recommend!

Fabulous apartment, with amazing views in a peaceful location. Loved all the little touches. Enjoyed watching the Guinea Pigs pop up in the garden ! Probably the best AirBnB we’ve stayed in. Thanks a lot !

We've just returned from 3 nights at Katrina's place which is absolutely delightful and really can't fault anything. It is bigger than we expected, and quirky ;), private and quiet and a real home from home, with everything you could need and it was exceptionally clean. The goodies were very much appreciated and really added to our stay. The area is gorgeous and right there in the hills, it is a short walk from the highest point. It is a great base from which to walk and explore The Malverns. It was our first time and we were blown away by the 360 degree views on the hills. We were sad to leave as it was such a relaxing and enjoyable break, but hope to be back. Thank you Katrina so being so thoughtful and making our stay so special.

Both myself and my partner had a lovely stay we couldn't of picked a better place to stay, the accommodation was spotless, the hot tub was lovely and the overall stay was perfect. A rejuvenating place that felt like staying in someone's warm (not just in temperature) and characterful home. We enjoyed feeling relaxed here from the moment we arrived. The surrounding fields and orchard with a river running through it was idyllic day and night. I was rewarded for being awake by the sounds of tawny owls calling back and forth. Thanks Jim and Sally for the little touches and thoughtful hosting.

Had a great few days, with a friend, writing, walking along Offa's Dyke Path, and soaking up the atmosphere in Hay. The flat is right in the centre of town, and we enjoyed watching everyone go by through the lovely big windows. The beds are comfy and the kitchen well-equipped. It's also great to have a bathroom for each bedroom, which are almost en suite, given each is just across the hall from a bedroom. Highly recommended!

The apartment was clean, warm and comfy with all you need for a relaxing break. We felt at home straight away and the peaceful location and comfy bed meant that we had a great nights sleep. The view from the terrace was amazing with lovely evening sun and beautiful sunsets. Justine contacted us before arriving and during our stay, was really friendly and very understanding of our barking dog! We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this property and we hope to return in the future. Thank you Justine and hubby.

Another very happy stay here. As it was a warmer time of year this stay,it was wonderful to be able to sit out on the covered decking and on the grass beside the property watching the sheep and a moorhen with her chicks by the large pond. Very peaceful property and flexible bedrooms,sociable living/kitchen area,parking outside on the property. We were visiting for a family wedding nearby at Verzon House but did manage to visit The Nest Cafe for delicious lunch and Wellington Garden Centre a bit further afield but well worth the journey. We shall return!

We really enjoyed our stay with Sydney who was a very friendly and responsive host. The apartment is spacious, well-equipped and very clean and in a great location for walking into Ross or visiting the surrounding area. Syd gave us lots of local recommendations and made sure we had a fantastic stay.
