Peaceful family getaway

KerryRating, 5 stars10 months ago
This was fabulous! Exactly what we were expecting a very spacious tent we were a family of 4 plus a dog and had plenty of space! It was very peaceful. It was very hot and John even went to the trouble of bringing up a parasol! We will be back was a great way to switch off from city life and connect as a family with no devices! It is very remote - but this is what we were looking for! Thank you all for hosting you have a beautiful place

Peaceful rural stay with mountain views

HollyRating, 5 stars33 months ago
Really lovely place to stay. Detailed communication from hosts meant finding the location was easy. Really comfortable bed and warm duvet/blankets meant for a good night sleep while camping which is usually unheard of! Would definitely stay again and recommend even to those who aren’t massive fans of traditional camping.

Lovely place up in the countryside. Sam was a great host, added nice touches and made me feel at home. If you want to escape, it's the right place to do it.

Woodland Bell tent escape - family glamping

ChristinaRating, 5 stars22 months ago
We loved our stay in the bell tent! Everything we needed for cooking, eating and relaxing was provided. The beds were cosy and comfortable and the campsite facilities were excellent. We enjoyed exploring the area straight from the campsite and the kids loved King Arthur’s Cave and the lookout at Seven Sisters Rocks. A longer walk to Yat Rock across Biblins rope bridge is also recommended. We hope to visit again!

Great campsite and fantastic bell tent. The tent was already set up with beds etc and some necessary accessories such as storage but also had some lovely touches such as a hairdryer and electric kettle. The campsite was great for families, playground was lovely and staff very welcoming and helpful. Very peaceful location with good access to surrounding area. We will hopefully be back!

May Hill Woodlands Safari Tent

JadeRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Fantastic stay, we loved it. The area is a delight, Glasshouse pub is very charming. The place is well kept and clean and the electric blankets made it all very cosy - beds are very comfy. Like others have said, the view is not visible like in the photos so be prepared for a more woodland experience which is fantastic - there are deer roaming around the site, lots of birds to wake up to and listen to. It’s a magical spot and had all the amenities you need including small bbq and option to buy coals and freshly hunted venison meat. Shower was nice and hot and composting toilet, both very close to the tent (10 second walk) and private. If you need a mirror then bring one along :) and perhaps an axe to chop logs for a fire which is kindly provided by the hosts. Hosts had guests on Friday so we could hear music/chatting but so were we, so wasn’t an issue and felt sociable. We had a very comfortable yet adventurous and fun stay and would definitely stay again, thank you Sarah and Piers

Cosy caravan, hot tub, ideal for hiking & relaxing

MeganRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Ian and Diane were exceptional hosts, from the moment of arrival to the very end! The caravan is beautiful, all the amenities you need and more, secluded in a tiny garden paradise. Ian and Diane were quickly responsive to any small query we had during our stay and went above and beyond for us. We truly had a wonderful stay, and would stay again in a heartbeat. Thankyou to you both, and buddy too!

Ashleys Meadow

AmyRating, 5 stars20 months ago
We've just had a lovely 3 nights staying at Julia's place. The bell tent is really spacious with comfortable beds and was perfect for me, my partner and our 2 kids (6 and 4). There was so much to do that the kids weren't all that bothered about going out! The trampoline and swing are fab and the games room is amazing. It's so well stocked we had hours of fun in there. Julia was absolutely lovely and welcoming and went out of her way to help us. The girls really enjoyed feeding her ducks and ponies with her. We would definitely go back.

Glamping Forest of Dean, Wye Valley

AlanRating, 5 stars1 week ago
The whole experience from booking to check out was fantastic. We were there to celebrate my son's 4th birthday. It was an excellent base gorgeous cycling in Forest of Dean and canoeing on the Wye. We especially enjoyed the well equipped kitchen and ample outside space provided to relax on tables and benches during down time. The welcome basket was lovely and Chris even put a cake in instead of scones which made my son's day on arrival. My son was particularly fond of the enormous black chicken and Billy the goat. A fantastic base for a holiday in the area.
