Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Hawaiian Islands

Great location, beautiful views, clean house. My 3 yr old loved the little lizards around the property The sound of the birds chirping was peaceful & puts you right to sleep Lots of beach supplies to borrow and numerous towels

We had a wonderful 7 day stay. Our 3 boys (16, 13, and 10) spent hours on the diving board and in the pool. Sandra’s place had everything we needed for beach trips, including beach chairs, wagon, umbrella, cooler and beach towels. I was so happy to have a washing machine to wash out the sandy towels and suits after our beach trips. It was a 5-10 minute trip for Costco,-target and Walmart and a 30-40 minute trip to Hāpuna Beach (don’t miss the Malsada stand on the highway on your way). We would come back to the house to cook supper, swim more in the pool, and watch the sunset from the beautiful yard. We also got a lot of use out of the basketball net in the driveway, and volleyball net in the side yard. Sandra was extremely helpful with all aspects of our stay, including local recommendations. Would definitely stay again if on the Big Island!

Such a special and beautiful villa - will be staying here when I come to Maui from now on!

We loved our stay! The location was easy to find and private. The house was spotless and had everything we needed for our vacation. The breakfast each morning was a great way to start the day. Pamela was very helpful and responsive.

We loved the space, everything was as advertised, the home was even better in person. Clean, well supplied with everything we need to make our meals. The outdoor showers were so nice after a long day of sightseeing. Thank you Jessica for making our stay enjoyable.

We were all very happy with the Airbnb. It was as expected and the hosts were very informative and got back to us really quick with any questions we had. The whole place was beautifully decorated. The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen is really big and fully stocked with everything you need to prepare and cook any meal. We will definitely stay there again, if they will have us. Beautiful place. So much light and the fireplace and porch made everything feel so cozy. We loved the bedroom and the ease of opening windows to listen to birds. Quiet. Didn’t hear the neighbor at all. Close to the park. We would definitely stay here again.

Our 10-day stay at Chow & Tom’s place was wonderful. We absolutely wish we could have stayed longer and hope to stay here again in the future. The place was just like the photos. The porch is amazing and has a range of seating types. There are screens for all doors leading outside. Most days there was enough wind to keep lurking mosquitoes at bay when outside. We only encountered a couple of mosquito bites during our stay - a win as I’m normally covered in bites when visiting Hawaii. The kitchen is well stocked and has most anything you need for cooking. We cooked everyday with ease. Chow & Tom were quick to respond when we had questions & offered suggestions for places to visits. Check-in and check-out were easy and flexible. The wifi was good enough to support remote work (but recommend staying there to relax not work). If you’re looking for a place to unplug and decompress and to connect with a more local Hawaii, look no further.

Great stay and we would’ve booked for a longer trip for this Airbnb but our family provided for the rest of our stay. My partner and I enjoyed all the amenities especially since we had our baby with us. Besides the beautiful view and the thought out room design. It really made a difference with everything provided from the kitchen, parking, even the amenities for the beach. Jayden and his team were very responsive. We had kindly asked to check in early which I was hoping for and felt so grateful to have been accommodated because traveling with a baby is literally the Olympics. I truly appreciate him and his team!! I definitely would recommend this airbnb to my friends, family, and to the person who is reading this review!!

We had a great stay. The place is cozy, has a great view and amenities and supplies. It is in great location, close enough to everything in waikiki but away enough to not deal with the busy and louder areas. Great host who was very informative, accomodating, detailed and gave alot of recommendations.

Our stay was prefect and incredibly peaceful! it felt like staying with a friend or relative. There were so many wonderful touches. The major draw was the beautiful creek and waterfall and falling asleep with the windows open and the sounds of the jungle. It was tucked away and a wonderful glimpse of local living. A few notes for other travelers: there are other rentals on the property; however, we did not see anyone else besides Darrin upon arrival. Also, this is not one of those sterile, squeaky clean airbnbs that you might be useful. Its definitely super clean but has a "real house" sort of feel. Also, no AC as far as we could tell but it was very cool (and I run hot!) Also, the value for island accommodations was awesome and much appreciated! Darrin was extremely kind to ensure we had a crib for our little ones and even left fresh bananas on our doorstep in the morning - our toddler LOVED opening the door to see this surprise. Oh! and the bed was glorious! Mahalo!

It is a prime location if it is your first time coming to Waikīkī. Right across the street you have the zoo as well as the beach. Travis was great at communicating and also allowed a flexible check-in. He keeps everything you may need for your stay; towels, beach chairs, umbrella, reusable bags, and bug repellent (which I had forgotten). The noise from the bar was not too bad for us and we were able to get sleep.

Amazing stay to end our Hawaiian vacation! Steps to the beach. So relaxing and spacious. Would love to stay here again longer!!

Very good place to stay and nice amenities.

We had an amazing stay! The apartment was so spacious, tastefully decorated and very clean. We loved watching the horses from the lanai and having Buddy the dog greet us everyday when we arrived back. We felt like we had the best spot on the island to watch the sunset. The sounds of the coqui frogs at sunset was absolutely amazing and so relaxing to fall asleep to. The kitchen was incredibly well equipped for self catering and it was really helpful having some things in the cupboards like spices, oil, syrup, etc. We were so sorry when it was time for us to leave!

This place is such a steal! Great price and in walking distance from the beach and a bunch of great restaurants. Take’s food recommendations were so good and we had an amazing time. Best part was coming home to the nice AC set to the perfect temp after a day in the sun! Highly recommend :)

Wonderful stay at the Kapalua Villas. Great pick for the price range. All was as described in listing. The location of this condo is spectacular! We LOVED our stay here. Impeccably clean inside, truly beautiful and relaxing garden and ocean views from the patio. Amazing coastal trails literally outside your door, which I recommend exploring all of (you can go 3 or 4 different directions from the trailhead!). Things you need do do while staying here: Snorkel Honolua Bay, go to Kahekili Beach park, hike down to the coastal cliffs from the access trail on site, and of course visit Kapalua Bay Beach (short walk from condo). Honolua Store down the road has affordable meals. Note that as this listing is very reasonably priced, you will need to pick up some of your own supplies like coffee, fruit, chocolate, anything in the fridge, potentially conditioner etc. depending on how much you use. A minor maintenance issue was made known to us before check in, and didn't effect our stay.

Melissa's place in Kapalua delivered exactly what was promised. The location is perfect for exploring this beautiful area of Maui, and the property matched the listing description completely. Melissa was excellent to work with - she responded quickly to messages and kept communication clear throughout our stay. Kapalua is an incredible spot on the island, and this rental gave us the ideal base to enjoy everything the area offers. We'd definitely book with Melissa again.

My husband and I stayed here for part 2 of our honeymoon trip. It was everything we could’ve asked for and more! Such a beautiful space and wonderful location!

When searching for a nice place to stay sight unseen, especially after such a loss to the community, we were pleasantly surprised. We wanted something private yet still in the heart of the activity for our wedding and honeymoon. Maui is breathtaking, and the views from the balcony were incredible. Every day, we could see sea turtles in the water from our private beach, and we were even greeted by a few that spent the night on the beach during our stay. The space was fantastic, and the bed was really comfortable. It was also conveniently close to necessities like the ABC store and a few shopping centers. Heidi was very prompt when we reported a minor issue, and she resolved it quickly while keeping us updated throughout the process. Thank you for hosting us! We will definitely be recommending this spot to all our friends and family, and we hope to visit again sometime!

This place is absolutely so worthwhile, especially you can go to ritz Carlton to enjoy stunning sunset!

Wife and I have been married 43 years and this was our best vacation ever. We love Kauai, but have never had the beautiful views and convenience we had with Allison's place. She is very vested in making sure you are taken care of and happy. She was so responsive...we couldn't have asked for better treatment. The view from our lanai was spectacular! I was diagnosed with Parkinson's right before our trip, so we were around the resort a little more than we had planned. It could not have been better. We all know that going to Hawaii is not cheap, but we left this place feeling like we really got our moneys worth. The condo was beautifully decorated and was comfortable from the moment we entered. I can't overstate how pleased we are with the way Allison treated us and the beautiful place she provided for us. We are looking forward to our next trip to Kauai. It really is the best Island in our opinion. Thanks again to Allison and her team for all of their caring and professionalism.

The view from the Airbnb was breathtaking. The spot is located in a great area. There were yummy food spots located right next to us and 7/11 is directly down the street. The bed was so comfy and all of the extra beach stuff was super helpful on our vacation.
