Holiday rentals with beach access in Hartlepool

The apartment was spotless and very comfortable. Within walking distance of the beach and restaurants. We really enjoyed our stay and highly recommend.

We had a lovely break in Saltburn but Peter’s place absolutely made it for us. Even though it is a huge apartment, it felt cosy. The beds were so comfortable. And a well equipped kitchen. We loved enjoying a morning coffee taking in the view, and my nephew enjoyed beating everyone at air hockey! Highly recommend Peter’s accommodation, and we’ll definitely be back.

The apartment was perfect in size and location for the things we wanted to see in and around South Shields. The coastline is beautiful, walk to Marsden Grotto along the coast took about 1 1/2 hrs with amazing birdlife (bus back) Foot ferry over to North Shields, bus and Metro ticket good, St Mary’s Lighthouse a must , check tide times. Tyne Mouth a special place with Priory and spectacular views .Roman Fort next to the Apartment a hidden gem and free. Sadly some of South Shields needs a Spruce up like so many places on our Coastline. Elaine is a lovely host.

A lovely place to stay. The flat is beautifully decorated throughout. We loved staying there. It was calming and relaxing and the bed was extremely comfortable, excellent mattress. The whole place was very thoughtfully equipped with everything you may need for your stay. A stone's throw from the seaftont with lovely shops and restaurants nearby. And the metro station a short walk away can take you anywhere in the area. We would love to stay again. Highly recommended.

The Guest Place was a lovely place to stay, perfectly appointed (with a really comfy bed!), spotlessly clean and in a gorgeous street. Walking distance to amenities and the beach too. Ann was a great host, communicated regularly and made me feel really welcome. I hope to stay again!

Wow, just wow. I don't normally write reviews but I'm having to so that I can share just what a wonderful and reasonably priced property this is. There are genuine sea views from the living/dining room window and the flat itself is superb. We stayed as a couple so didn't use the spare bedroom or utilise the family bathroom properly but the main bedroom had tons of storage space, was well designed and loads of space. The ensuite was fantastic. We both loved the shower; so much better than the one at home. The kitchen was immaculate with Smeg kettle, toaster and fridge. All the utensils required for self catering seemed to be there and it was a more of less perfect small kitchen for our purposes. The living room was a great size and far too big for just two. It would definitely fit a family of 4 and the cuddle chair would go down a treat with most teen-agers who want to be left alone with their devices. Access was easy and the instructions idiot proof. Off street parking was great

This was our second stay here, so we obviously like it! The location is perfect next to the beach and having a parking space is great. The back garden is a suntrap too for relaxing in. We would well recommend Grannie Annie's, down on the beach for food. We had everything we needed in the apartment and will probably be back again next year too. Thanks for another great stay 😁

We had not been to the area before but were delighted with the accommodation and with Cullercoats. The cottage was stylish and luxurious, ticking all the boxes for a really comfortable bed, great shower, well-equipped, excellent kitchen and everything you needed for a short stay or a longer one. The upstairs ensuite bedroom had a lovely sea view and was really peaceful. The downstairs double room and separate bathroom were practical as we had family visiting. The neighbourhood was quiet and friendly and the location was superb - the cottage was minutes from the beach, a small supermarket and the Metro. You could walk from the door into Whitley Bay or Tynemouth. The beach was excellent and we swam in the sea. The coastal pathway between Whitley Bay and North Shields with its separate cycle lanes will be a wonderful asset and parts of it are already completed. We settled in really well and very quickly and were a bit sad to leave. Thank you to Vikki.

We stayed here for 5 nights - Rosemary was the ideal host - super helpful before we arrived and always available for any questions you have. The property is excellently located in the centre of cullercoats and only a 2 min walk to the metro station. The property has lots of Character and I would definitely recommend it to family and friends. Thank you Rosemary for a wonderful stay!

House was lovely - well-equipped and spotless. Perfect place to explore Marske by the sea and Saltburn from.

What a smashing wee find, just what we wanted. The annex is well laid out and well equipped. The bedding was super quality [something important to me]. Easy to come and go and you park your car right outside the door. Worth noting there is a step down into the kitchen and bathroom which has a sensor light on it at night so not to much of a problem. We would happily stay here again.

Lovely place to stay, beautifully decorated and the house is spotless and comfortable. David is super lovely and really happy to help. Staithes is a very small and quiet place with some beautiful walks along the coast, my dog loved it. Phone reception is non existent in the village so make sure you know the location prior to arriving. There is wifi in the air b&b. Really enjoyed just relaxing and the log burner plus monopoly was such a wholesome vibe.

Angie's place was great for us not one for cooking, theirs a nice pub 5 minute walk down the road with good food, plenty around that area. it was nice clean will try and use it again if in the area, thanks again for letting us stay.

Josh's house was lovely- lots of space and thoughtfully well-equipped. Josh was great at keeping in touch and ensuring we had a good stay. It was warm and comfortable and we would definitely return to such a special place.

Immaculately clean home. very helpful host "Elizabeth"...perfect having 2 very large bathrooms. Very well equipped..location was very good, with super markets & Restaurants close by...would definitely book again. Thanks Liz 😊

Beautiful modern flat, clean and tidy, everything we needed. Stunning views. Really comfortable beds, lovely clean linen. Ideal with parking on site. Great base for exploring. Would definitely stay again. Communal areas were clean too. Thank you

Melanie's place was amazing - we were blown away when we walked in. The bedrooms are a good size, and the living room had amazing views of the sea - shame the sun only behaved on our last day!! This apt is right in the centre of everything, but equally, you don't really hear any noise from the outside once you're in and have closed the doors, it's a great bit of escapism. Melanie was really responsive to any questions we had. Also - make sure you visit the Lamp Room for breakfast and take advantage of the 50% off - breakfast was amazing, everyone enjoyed what they had, and the staff were lovely. We will be back xx

Sara's place is a nice place to stay very handy for town and funicular down to or up from pier and front.Saltburn is a quaint place to stay for a few days,a number of nice places to eat and drink.

Abi’s place was in a great location overlooking the sea. The house was immaculate with high quality fixtures and fittings. It was very spacious and ideal for our family of 4 with one baby

Enjoyed the use of the property, it was near the beach and funfair, loads of restaurants at the end of the road and was in a quiet cul de sac. We enjoyed walking the short distance to the town centre and also to the ferry. Great location for all ages.

We booked this apartment at very short notice following a change in our plans. The hosts responded very quickly to make the property available for us and even allowed us flexibility with our check in. The Old Bakery exceeded our expectations and was perfect for our short break holiday being close to Cullercoats and Tynemouth centre and a great stretch of beach. Next time we are looking to stay in the area we will definitely be booking this again.

We throughly enjoyed our stay at Kathryn’s place. She was super helpful and proactive in making sure we had a great stay - and even let us check in early due to an earlier arrival time than planned! The place itself was the perfect size for our stay and was cleaned to a professional standard. It was really clear that there has been a lot of care and detail put into the property!
