Very well located hotel! Friendly staff, 5 minutes walk to the Sunday Street Market. Breakfast had a also a good variety of food and choices. Price definitely worth the quality

Varada was very helpful, he described how to get to the hotel, how to use the keys. He also helped me very quickly to get T30 form for extension my visa. The hotel has a good location. It’s just 20 min walk to the old city, a lot of shops and restaurants nearby

We had the family room which was comfortable. You share bathroom but due to small scale It is almost private. The host is super nice and sweet!

For the money you're paying, it doesn't get better than this. The place is pretty neat, you've got great service (from the general manager), they do your laundry and the location doesn't get any better. Overall, this is a good 3* budget hotel to stay at, and I don't think I could've gotten a better deal. The only complaint I've got is about housekeeping. You could tell all of the cleanings were done superficially. I accidentally touched some spots over the bed and on the showerhead and my hand immediately became black with filth. The sheets are not regularly changed (stayed there for one month), and whenever I left a dirty glass or spoon to be changed they would just return it to where it originally was, but still dirty, not clean. Also, the breakfast is horrendous and I definitely wouldn't recommend it, especially having so many good places around, so I would just skip it. Overall though, I think this is one of the best options in the oldtown price/quality wise!

Baan Boo Loo is a traveller's dream. Ticks all the expectations of a Thai home and genuine Thai hospitality. Thanks so much for everything. Everyone who comes to Thailand should see Thai culture this way. The rooms are mostly in teak with lots of antiques and beautiful fabrics and touches. It is like stepping back in time but with all the important modern amenities.

Good value for money, better, just a little far from the city, not very convenient... It is said that it is surrounded by cemetery and where is it...

What I like: It's a modern hostel, the staff is very friendly, it's clean, the WiFi is very good to work and to have videocalls. Also it's in Nimman and you can reach everything very easily. It can be nosy at night. If you wanna sleep early, you have to use earplugs or wait till 00 / 00:30 a, when the bars around the hostel close.

THIS IS THE PLACE TO STAY! We stayed at Lee Chiang Hotel for about a month and had such an amazing experience. The rooms were VERY clean (and cleaned very frequently, if wanted) and decorated nicely. It had a wonderful shower, comfortable bed/pillows/linens, and a strong Air Conditioner. If you’re breakfast people, there is a lovely breakfast served downstairs every morning. The owner, Kishore, was the most accommodating and kind host we have ever experienced before. Whether you need to know the good spots to eat and drink or the best excursions, Kishore is there with great recommendations. He always checked in with us to make sure we were okay with our stay but also that we were having a great trip - wherever he could help, he wanted to. All of the staff at Lee Chiang were incredibly helpful and friendly. We can not possibly recommend this stay more (short term or longer term) - perfect location, perfect accommodation, perfect staff. We wouldn’t have wanted to stay anywhere else while in Chiang Mai.

Four years later, when I came back to Chiang Mai town again and was lucky enough to stay in Villa, a simple and clean Thai style homestay that we loved. Unique Highlights: The small garden is particularly beautiful and the swimming pool is clean.The room is our favorite and the light is very good. There is a big balcony.Owner has bamboo woven bags, paper umbrellas in advance, you can take them out for hanging out.Loved the hint scent of its home, very unique, we also bought a bottle Location: Good location, just between the old city and Nimman Road, convenient wherever you go, more than 10 minutes from the airport Host Interaction: The host is very friendly. I’ve stayed with The Locals twice while in Chiang Mai, and can’t recommend them enough. Very friendly staff and helpful. Hotel is very clean and quiet. They have a useful entrance for coming back late at night, without disturbing anyone. Walkable distance to good restaurants, the Loi Kroh Boxing Stadium (cluster of bars), and the Kalare Night Bazaar. This is the only place I will stay in Chiang Mai going forward. Amazing.

Despite being near Nimman, it’s in a quieter area, and while not totally soundproof noise isolation here is better than average (or maybe I just got lucky with neighbours). The room felt spacious enough and comes with a tiny private outdoor yard (though make sure to keep the door closed to prevent insects from getting in). The reason that pushed me to book this place was the window in the bathroom. It’s totally opaque, but having sunlight makes a big positive difference from the typical claustrophobic bathroom feel of most places. In addition to the window, the bathroom is very spacious. There’re essential toiletries and good shower setup. In short, almost everything is good, except Wi-Fi isn’t configured securely so I ended up using my own mobile data. I didn’t like the price variation (I wanted to extend my stay and had to pay a higher rate), but I think it might have to do with a short holiday that happened on these dates. Outside, there’s a covered parking for motorbikes and bicycles. A very adequate coffee shop shares the same yard (coffee shop’s Wi-Fi is good). Further out, the area has a lot going for it, including a healthy lowish-carb food place, Japanese, Korean and (though I haven’t tried it yet) Cantonese restaurants, many coffeeshops, a coworking place, and a 24 hr McDonalds all within walking distance. There’s a decent motorbike rental close by (on the same road that goes to CMU night market and Doi Suthep). Finally, the guy who works at the reception is enjoyable to chat with (no language barrier) and was accommodating at check-in.

This house was a great base for us to explore Nimman and Santitham. Lots of great restaurants to explore in both neighbourhoods. The host lives in the house also but you have your own private on-suite room which is decorated very well, the bed was very comfy and we had a great night sleep. Thank you for your hospitality.

We really enjoyed our stay here and would recommend it for anyone looking to stay relatively close to the airport but also a quick drive from the city center.

It's good to stay on your own. It may be a little narrow.

We were here for a whole month. Was very good and pleasant! Very good conditions for the low price. Clean and beautiful room with a big bed, and a nice bathroom. Room is well cleaned once a week. And most important - kind hosts and a feeling of home. You have anything you need here, including a shared kitchen. Very safe and nice neighbourhood. The old city is a walking distance and taxis also cheap if needed. Don’t hesitate to arrive here - you won’t regret.
