Apartment holiday rentals in Hahnenkammsee

My husband’s favorite Airbnb that we have ever stayed at. So large and spacious. Lovely setting and so quiet and peaceful!! Can’t wait to return!!

We were in the apartment over the weekend to explore the area around Altmühlsee and Brombachsee. An ideal apartment for this. The Altmühlsee can be reached on foot in 5 minutes, the Brombachsee by car in 20 minutes. Gunzenhausen, with its beautiful old town and good restaurants, is also only 8-10 minutes away by car. The apartment is perfect for 4 adults (there were only three of us), it is very spacious, modern, has a nice large balcony with good views. It is a quiet area to relax and feel good. The kitchen is well equipped, all the necessary things were there, even dishwashing detergent, dish towels and tabs for the dishwasher. A bottle of water and pads for the coffee machine, as well as tea, were also available. Very attentive! I highly recommend the apartment. Thorsten is a courteous and friendly host, gives many tips and is always helpful. Thank you so much for letting us be guests here.

We spent a night there as part of a family outing the next day to Legoland, which is a 20-minute drive from the apartment. The accommodation is very cozy, with a lot of charm and very well equipped. We enjoyed the "Biergarten" (a beautiful little terrace with lots of greenery on the roofs). We recommend it 300% whether it's for one night or a longer stay. It feels like home.

We had a great stay in Julia's beautiful apartment, furnished with great attention to detail. The apartment is super equipped, with everything you need - the service is great (beds already made, soap, toilet paper, many towels are ready, toys for the children, baby bed, etc.) and the interaction with the guests is very warm. We had a short but very pleasant stay. The accommodation is so beautifully furnished, we felt super comfortable right away, everything is very clean, very cozy and everything you need is there. The hostess was very friendly, explained everything exactly and gave us a few tips on where we can still eat something after our long journey. The accommodation was exactly as described and is highly recommended! What far exceeded my expectations was the location: nestled in a gently hilly, partly wooded landscape, partly characterized by heathland, my hiking heart beat faster. There are numerous places worth seeing (castle ruins, a former monastery complex, bathing pond, etc.), which you can explore directly from the accommodation on beautiful hiking trails. By car, you can quickly reach other picturesque and very interesting places that are not only worth a visit: Nördlingen, Burg Harburg, Bopfingen, Wemding, Katzenstein or Neresheim with an abbey church whose ceiling frescoes by Martin Knoller are unparalleled!!! On the trips there, I have come across so many other promising places and regions, so that there is still a lot to discover for future visits :) I am not least grateful to my always friendly hostess Elke for the delicious restaurant tips!

The apartment is really nice and the landlord is very, very friendly! I was able to find the key, but he brought it to me himself🥹... The key is easy to find. I just wasn't used to self-check-in. The apartment is quiet and very cozy. I would definitely recommend it.☺️👍

We felt very comfortable in Mavie's apartment. A special feature is the English fireplace, which spreads a cozy feeling and comfort. From the house you can take beautiful hikes and in the nearby area there are beautiful towns with good gastronomy. Highly recommended!

Katherina's apartment 2.2 was beautiful, clean, and in a great location for touring Nordlingen.

We were passing through on motorcycles. We were allowed to park them in the carport - very cool. We were allowed to throw our wet things from the ride in the dryer in the basement for a small tip. The apartment was sparkling clean and we slept wonderfully. We would sleep here again if we were in the region again. Thank you and best regards!

The host was incredibly warm and welcoming, taking the time to walk us through every detail of the house with great care. The home itself felt cozy and inviting, especially during dinner after sunset — a truly peaceful and memorable atmosphere. During the day, we loved sitting at the outdoor table, enjoying the fresh air and quiet surroundings, occasionally accompanied by the cheerful laughter of neighborhood kids. It’s also very conveniently located near the highway, with Nuremberg city center just about a 30-minute drive away. A wonderful stay we’d gladly recommend!

The apartment is newly renovated, very clean and equipped with everything you need to feel comfortable. Parking in the yard was also great, the seating areas in the back courtyard were perfect for relaxing.

I absolutely loved my stay here! The place was spotless, cozy, and had such a warm, welcoming vibe. I especially loved the terrace. Birgit was super friendly and helpful, and she made sure everything was just right. The location was quiet and relaxing. It honestly felt like a home away from home:)

The house is as it appears in the photos. Everything is very neat and nicely decorated. The quiet area, close to a supermarket and cafes and a few minutes by car from the highway. Spacious parking. Very good and fast communication with the owner. I would repeat. The kitchenware is somewhat scarce.

We had a nice short stay at Dario's. The communication was great and we were personally received. Dario had a few good tips for us to go out to eat. The apartment is very clean and well equipped, we also got along very well without a kitchen. For us personally, it was a little too loud at night due to the nearby road, but if you leave the windows closed, it doesn't bother you. You are super connected, quickly on foot in the city center and also quickly to the subway.

Check-in was hassle-free, we were allowed to use a parking bay directly. The apartment was very nice and the beds comfortable. The kitchen was really super equipped - everything you needed was easy to find. There is still a 2nd small apartment, Liz also lives in the house - that's just good to know. There was a nicely landscaped chicken coop that was very enthusiastic with our son. It is recommended to have the whirlpool explained in peace. Surroundings is quiet and the view beautiful - here you can relax! A trip to the zoo or Playmobil-Funpark can highly recommend. In the Playmobil Funpark, take change gear with you - because there is a lot to play with water. Liz was friendly and available for questions.

Andrea was very welcoming and you definitely can see how much attention to detail she has put into every room. We liked the whole experience with whirlpool, terrace and the free Netflix. We would definitely recommend it anyone, who wants some fun and quiet time :))
