My family chose this house for our family summer vacation and it was nothing short of amazing. The house was just as it is pictured and comes with all the amazing features that were listed. My family loved the huge kitchen and open dining areas to allow for all of us to have seats without having to be separate during meal time and games after words. The six bedrooms allowed us to have separate spaces for nighttime and keeping our belonging organized and our do the way of the rest do the hosue. The pool in the back was by far the highlight of our stay and kept us entertained with the diving board and many seating options around it. It was a great hangout space and was surrounded by a huge yard with lots of room to explore and hangout. This is a great house for a family looking to just hangout and enjoy what the hosue offers. We felt right at home in the quiet, cozy neighborhood and the small town right down the road for a local coffee run and meal. We would love to come back again!

We had a blast at this beautiful lake house . The kids loved being able to swim and fish in one place. Perfect for a lazy getaway . We will be booking this hidden gem again .

We had a great weekend of relaxation and fishing. Kirk was a great host! He has a beautiful home, very responsive, and super friendly! We loved that we could rent the boat for the day as well. this ade it super easy and convenient for us to just show up and enjoy our weekend! We will definitely book again.

Wonderful home in a quiet and cozy neighborhood! Everything was perfectly clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully arranged. The kitchen was fully equipped, the beds were great, and there was plenty of space to relax. We especially loved how peaceful the area was — perfect for a family getaway. The hosts were very attentive and responsive. We will definitely come back again!

Birds Lane was absolutely spectacular. I had 3 kids graduating from 2 different colleges and this was located between the two. We enjoyed a day between ceremonies with family and later a few friends came and swam, kayaked and grilled out before going separate ways. They even have a rope swing that was a huge hit once they convinced themselves to jump. Hank thought of everything from Citronella candles to Off Bug Spray and fire wood for a late night bond fire with s’mores. They even had marshmallows but I had brought my own. The quaintness of it all was so nice and really enjoyed the evenings sitting on the deck as well as the one morning we had. I will say I think it would be fun to have the grill on the back deck rather than up front so if that’s the only thing that I might could change then I say that is pretty amazing. Hank even warned us of impending weather and said if we needed anything to reach out. It was an incredible time and my family absolutely loved it. Memories made.

5 Stars – Amazing Family Stay! This lake house was the perfect family getaway! The home was super clean, beautifully decorated, and had everything we needed. All 6 of our kids caught fish right off the pier and had a blast swimming in the lake with easy step access. The house is stocked with tons of board games, kayaks, and cornhole, which kept everyone entertained. The porch was our favorite spot to unwind and watch the sunsets—absolutely gorgeous. We would 100% stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fun and relaxing trip!

We loved the location of our stay and the porch facing the lake was absolutely beautiful, but we want to be fair in our review for the next renter. The home is situated on a very steep decline and I would not recommend renters with disabilities. There was what looked like improvements being made to the front parking area, noted by the large piles or gravel/and or dirt on the sides of the property. If a renter wanted to bring their own boat, the ramp no longer is available at the home. The owner had many personal items in areas where renter would want to store their own items, for example sweaters and slippers. We truly believe there is a lot of potential and opportunity for this home to transform itself into an amazing lake getaway. Again, all of this is our personal experiences with renting Airbnb & VRBOs. We however were grateful for the cabin on the lake rental in the area that allowed dogs!

This place was absolutely perfect! Was a long weekend trip for girls. Everything you could possibly need was there. Cathy is a superior host, and thinks of everything down to the fine details. The house was spotless and the furniture, beds and pillows extremely comfortable. The firepit was a sweet deal, down to firewood already there stocked up for use. We have friends that live on the lake, so they could easily pick us up from the dock each day. Was an amazing trip, and we will definitely stay at this place again!

Absolutely beautiful place, and we enjoyed it so much! The home was large and spacious, absolutely beautiful, clean, and met our luxury wants. The yard, dock, and fishing areas were all clean, free of debris, and easily accessible making for excellent fishing. The dock has lighting so it was great for night fishing. The back patio is screened in with ceiling fans and sitting so we were able to enjoy being outside without having to worry about weather or bugs. The home is nice and private and the perfect escape from city life. It was just perfect for our family gathering and a great Father’s Day weekend for my husband and father-in-law. We hope to return next year.

Beautiful home with wonderful views of the lake. The home was clean and spacious with plenty of room for multiple families. I highly recommend this home and look forward to hopefully staying here again in the future.

Really loved my experience. Nice kitchen, huge dining room with enough room for probably 25+ people. Lots of bedrooms. Favorite part was probably the showers/tub, they felt very modern despite the older house. it's next to a historical general store as well. I think this would be a nice location to have a larger event. only downside is that since it is an old house it can be pretty loud when people are moving around inside. would stay again!

This house was amazing! Perfect getaway for our family and friends to celebrate our sons graduating from Newberry College. The hosts were amazing and so accommodating to our needs. The view was perfect. Thank you for a life time of memories.

Spent a week here visiting family. The location is beautiful. Very quiet and peaceful, with a nice deck and a huge oak tree in the backyard. Beds were very comfortable and we had everything we needed for a very comfortable and relaxed week. There are extremely limited options for staying in McCormick, so we were happy to find something right in McCormick. Valerie is extremely responsive to any questions we had. Overall we are very happy with our stay.
