- For the morning booking: Guests will get to start in the poultry coop where they will be able to interact with the ducks and chickens, and perhaps collect their eggs. They will learn about feed and the mix of different species and their needs. They will open the door and watch the ducks waddle to the pond (seasonally). From there they will enter the paddock where they can interact with the donkeys and the horses and learn each of their stories. Guests will be informed about rescue animals and natural alternate methods of care. The guests will be taught how to clear their thinking in order to allow the animals to do the same and be rewarded by the therapeutic energy of the equine. For the afternoon booking: The poultry will already be free range but the guests will be able to sit by the pond (seasonally) and feed the ducks as well as have the chickens come to them for feed. Other things to note This is a hands on experience with animals. Guests are asked to be calm and allow the animals to come to them. Children must be supervised at all times. - Do you need to de-compress, restore, renew and rejuvenate? Or just to step out and disconnect from your busy world for a few hours of self-care? We will meet in a parking area near the forest where our walk will occur. You will need to be comfortably dressed to be outdoors for 3 hours. This will not be a hike or a rigorous walk and we will not generate much heat through exertion--we will travel a total of about 1 kilometre on mostly level terrain, travelling slowly, noticing the world around us. I will offer you invitations for ways of interacting with the other-than-human world, engaging all your senses. You can choose to accept them or not! - For those that don't know what Disc Golf is, it follows the same principles as traditional or "Ball Golf". From the tee to the target, try to get the disc in the basket in as few throws as possible. Just as golfers carry a number of clubs for different distances, there are different discs depending on the length and shape of the shot, including Drivers, Mid-Range, and Putters. Disc Golf is great for the young and old, single players, groups or families, as it promotes active outdoor activity. We'll start with a warm up going over the basics like putting techniques, different types of throws, and the characteristics of the different types of discs. Once on the course, I'll provide you first hand knowledge of every hole and the different throws you can use to navigate it. Throughout your round(s), I'll also provide tips and techniques to improve your game, addressing posture, movement, grips, flight, etc. so that you can get the most out of your time and hopefully take home what you've learned and look up your own local courses!
