Holiday rentals with a patio in Grant County

Perfect location- comfortable vibe. Lovely decor. Alison was superb. The bed was comfortable. We loved walking to all the things. Our car didn’t move! However, with the convenience of being in town and able to walk anywhere comes noise. Typically I wouldn’t turn a TV on, so not having one wouldn’t be an issue, however I would have loved to have one to drown out the neighbors conversations. Literally, someone sneezed in another unit (or upstairs) and I said, bless you. They responded saying, “thanks.” 2 things would have made our stay perfect, a white noise machine, tv or Bluetooth speaker to drown out the noise and provide some semblance of privacy and a full-length mirror in the bedroom. Overall, I would recommend this place and will likely stay again. The convenience of being right in town coupled with the river and fire pits right outside was awesome. Next time, I will pack earplugs and a speaker!

This was a great place to stay, especially if you are exploring the Blackwater State Park area. Couldn’t be more convenient! We were so pleasantly surprised by the shops and restaurants in the area. The food and the service from the locals cultivated a super friendly environment. The owner was very responsive over messaging the few times we reached out. Couple cons: I will say the listing was a little overpriced for what you get, though the inflated price could have been because of the holiday weekend. The upstairs bedroom would get pretty warm and there were instructions that you could not adjust the thermostat. I can understand the owner not wanting us to mess with the room temperature, the weather dropped from 51 to 11 degrees in a matter of 24 hours while we were there! But if you are a hot sleeper and being able to adjust the thermostat is important to you, it may be something worth considering! Overall I would recommend this listing!

The location of this apartment is very attractive. It's walkable to the main strip in Davis and the apartment is along the river. There is adequate outside seating which allows you to enjoy the view. The apartment is comfortable overall. The bed is cozy. This is a good place to stay if you don't plan on being in the apartment but rather outdoors, which most of us coming to Davis choose to do. I would highly recommend as it has everything you need and is overall quite nice. They allow pups which is great and the wifi works well (I was able to work remotely no problem). There are a few other apartments in the building, but everyone is respectful and there is no noise. There is also a nice river walk you can do with the pups. Very peaceful.

We had a great stay, our 1st time in Davis but it won't be our last and would definitely book this property again! The location was a perfect home base for the sites and activities we had lined up. It was nice to have dining options right there and we especially loved the convenience of hopping on the bike and being on trails within minutes. The fire pit area was nice, always love to see and hear the water. We appreciated Allison's responsiveness to our requests during the stay. Davis, WV is a true gem!

Perfect for two! It was a quiet and peaceful location but close to neighboring towns and natural attractions. Kelsey was extremely helpful and responsive when asked questions and provided all needed information for our stay.

Beautiful view of the River. Walkable to restaurants in town but several seem to close early depending on the day. Beautiful atmosphere and very clean. Balcony was a lovely touch. Comfortable beds!! Highly recommend

We really loved our stay in this beautiful house with the natural surroundings. It was really nice to have lots of windows and doors to enjoy the natural lighting and the breeze through the trees. The kitchen had everything we needed. The bathrooms were nicely done and had good counter space and storage for our stay. I loved having the closet and dresser in the primary bedroom, which allowed me to put away my clothes. The furniture and lighting was tasteful and added to our stay. The fireplace and sauna were nice accessories. The EV charger was wonderful for us to have and really made our stay much more convenient. We would 1000% stay here again!

This was our group’s first time in a ski in/out house and it did not disappoint. The convenience of being able to walk out back to ski was priceless. We had a great time and will be back!

Great and relaxing place for a get together. The kitchen was well supplied and the rooms were all very comfortable. Pool table was a little wonky but we had fun anyway 😅

Excellent accommodations. We were 5 adults, 2 toddlers, an infant and two dogs and there was plenty of room for everyone. The kids enjoyed the spacious first floor for their magna-tile and lego projects and the adults were happy at the large dining table. The outdoors were quiet, spacious and plenty of opportunities for the kids to run around. We used this location as a central point for the high peaks hike in MD and WV, an excellent location. Also visited Blackwater Falls and Seneca Rocks - amazing natural wonders. Would definitely rent again if in the area.

Alison’s house was beautiful. The house was located right on the river. We enjoyed the wall to ceiling sliding glass doors overlooking the river and sitting on the deck watching the water. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience staying there. Alison was extremely responsive with any questions we had and was at the house to replaced the propane tank for the grill literally within minutes of my messaging her. You couldn’t ask for a better host. The house was equipped with everything needed for our stay.

Our group loved this home! It was conveniently located close to the lodge, however I do not recommend the walk in ski boots. The mudroom was perfect for getting ready and drying out clothes. The kitchen is well stocked with plenty of counter space. We would definitely stay here again.

The house was perfect! Has a great view of Seneca Rocks from the covered porch!! It was very clean and had everything described. It was great for my father who has limited mobility. There were only a couple of steps for him to access the house and the walk in shower was perfect! Great house for someone who is slightly handicapped. We will definitely be staying here in the future. Danita was very responsive to any of my questions.

This place was perfect for a quick getaway with my boyfriend. Self Check-In was very convenient and the place looked just like the pictures. It was very clean and nicer than a hotel, but not too much house for just the 2 of us. Everything from the bathroom, to the kitchen, to the bedroom was organized and home-y. Things like towels, sheets, blankets, hand soap, and utensils/dishes were provided and clean as well. The only thing I would warn about is the amount of lady bugs I saw inside the house. There is a large window in the bedroom with a beautiful view and a nice black-out shade, but I fear it seems to be an entrance for lady bugs. However, I did not see any other bugs in the home during my 4 night stay and would not call this place dirty at all. I would recommended this place to anyone looking for somewhere to stay, close enough to visit state parks like Blackwater Falls or the small local towns nearby which had restaurants, a grocery store, and pubs!

The condo was very easy to find. Check in process was simple. The unit felt more private because it was on the end and we saw deer out of our windows in the morning. It was close to the town of Davis and to many lovely hikes. The beds were comfortable and there were plenty of extra pillows, blankets, and towels. Shower was hot with good water pressure. Everything was clean and comfortable. I would stay again if I was in the area.

Wonderful time visiting the Davis area and staying in this condo. Everything was provided to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. Our host was easy to communicate with and available when needed. Hope to visit again soon.

We had a great stay at Kerrie's place! She had everything we could need. The kitchen was stocked with all of the necessities plus sugar, spices, coffee, tea, and some snacks. Laundry detergent and toiletries were available to use. Tons of books to read! We didn't use the fireplace but there was wood if we wanted it. There was an issue with the thermostat (turned out previous renter turned off the heater) and Kerrie had someone at the unit within minutes to help figure out the issue. Beds were comfortable and i loved that she had plenty of extra blankets. She also had cable TV in addition to streaming, which is seems like a rare find these days. Location is 10 minutes from both Blackwater Falls and Canaan Valley Resort and short enough drive to Seneca Rocks. Thanks for a great stay!
