Cottage holiday rentals in Grândola

An exceptional secluded paradise. We stayed there for a week to visit the Algarve and were there as a couple and with our dogseta who was delighted. Silvia provided us with instructions to get to the house properly (not following the gps). The place is very quiet, secluded and is reached by a flattened dirt trail between vineyards. The house is wooden and very big and spacious. It has a large enclosed deck ideal for being read there or playing board games. The house is well finished and secluded and has screens on all windows. The kitchen is very well equipped with all the utensils and some basic ingredients. The garden is wide with a very clean pool, of which Silvia takes care of daily without disturbing. Silvia has made it easy for us any needs and we are very happy about it; we repeat the stay without a doubt.

My family and I had an amazing time. The host, Raquel, was amazing and very responsive. The amenities of the house, the cleaningless were perfect. Our kids loved playing with the toys provided in the house or in the pool. We also managed to go to the beach (3 minutes by bike) to watch the sunset. We will definitely come back in Troia and we recommend anyone to stay there. All the best, Sébastien

It's been a wonderful vacation - the place is perfect for rest, and the photos don't do it justice. The property consists of four houses, one common (with pool, treadmill, etc.) and several lounging areas around the pool, clean and good size, as well as a pond full of fish. In the area there are several villages with supermarkets and good restaurants; Évora is 40 minutes away. It is a perfect place to get to know the Alentejo and spend the day for example in Lisbon or Évora. The owners, Mathieu and Martha, are absolutely lovely, attentive, polite and respectful. They have been attentive to our needs without being invasive. We are sure that we will repeat it, and we highly recommend it to everyone.

Beautiful house! Very clean and stylishly decorated! We had an great week and felt very comfortable. The house is located just outside Silves surrounded by nature. We will be happy to come back!

Very spacious house with pleasant terraces and a lovely swimming pool. Carlos and his wife welcomed us with open arms! They were very friendly and very flexible with check-in and check in. Absolutely recommended!

What an absolute gem! 💎 we didn’t want to stay in a resort and this was perfect, off the beaten track set in the most peaceful and beautiful surroundings. The house itself was ideal for us and our 2 young children - there was a cot, highchair, and loads of playthings both indoor and out 🤩 As a base it was perfect to explore - we could reach everywhere we wanted within about 1.5hrs but most places were much closer (would highly recommend Silves!). Evi was wonderful - super responsive and have loads of recommendations 😄 We would highly recommend and definitely stay again! ✨

An unforgettable week in your holiday home Our week in your holiday home was truly a dream. The panoramic view over the ocean and the beach was breathtaking , waking up to that view every morning was pure magic. What made the stay extra special were the small observations that coloured local life. It was fascinating to see how people enthusiastically took selfies at the most beautiful places. It was also impressive to see how suppliers brought their products down the steep stairs – a true art in itself. The balcony was a true paradise: spacious, comfortable and with a view that invited us to enjoy the surroundings for hours. Although we noticed the musty air in the bedroom, we accepted this. With the tips we received to regulate the humidity, we were able to further optimise our stay. A fan for the night would be a welcome addition to improve the air circulation. We stayed at Daniel's place for a little more than a week. It was a very restful experience for us in a beautiful rural setting. There are services like restaurants and grocery stores within a close distance at Montemor-o-Novo. It is easy to make meals at the house if you want, the kitchen is well equipped. The house is nicely renovated in a way that blends new and old. It feels very spacious even though it is a modest size. There is an outdoor eating area shaded by a trellis and a large tree that provides a great space for outdoor dining and relaxing. The house interior stays at a comfortable temperature even when it is quite warm outside. Daniel was very helpful with suggestions about things to do in the area and where to eat. We would definitely return again if possible.

Elio was super responsive and flexible with check in. He also recommended some amazing spots to visit that were quiet. Overall super peaceful stay. Cannot recommend this place more if you have a car. The goat next door was the cherry on top!

Nice stay over Easter. Great for dogs - we went on nice walk down the quiet lanes. 25 minutes to the beach.

Very nice and clean apartment with two balconies. The pool is clean and spacious, the loungers and parasols invite you to relax and chill. There is even a toilet. The apartment is just a stone's throw away, so you can always get drinks or snacks from the kitchen and the fridge. The location is very quiet and the combination is ideal for relaxing for families with and without children. The pool and the landlord's property are beautifully green and flowery. Although Benafim is located in the hinterland, for holidaymakers with rental cars, the trips are a pleasant change from the various excursion destinations in the Algarve. For us, who also like to explore Tenerife by car, it is comparably well located. You can experience the hustle and bustle of Albufeira in 30 minutes. All in all, a nice accommodation with good value for money. We are very satisfied and will be happy to come back.

Even though it rained during our stay, we really enjoyed our time at Antonio’s house. The location is absolutely stunning – right in front of the ocean – and the house itself is very cozy, especially with the fireplace. The kitchen is perfectly equipped, which we really appreciated. With five people, it felt a little tight indoors when the weather wasn’t great, especially around the small table. On sunny days, I’m sure it’s twice as beautiful with the outdoor space. Antonio was very proactive and checked in with us several times – a very thoughtful host.

We felt very comfortable with our children in Anna-Lena's accommodation. The beautiful house sits on a thoroughfare that is somewhat but not overly busy. With a wonderful view of the countryside, the property has everything you need to slow down: something to play for the children (mud kitchen, trampoline, swing, chickens and rabbits), lots of peace and nature with access to the river. The house was super equipped and very clean. We will be happy to come back.

Diane was a great host, she made us feel welcomed right from the start. The place was more spacious than it looked in the pictures, very pleasant, clean and tidy. Perfect for a couple. The area is very peaceful and perfect for people wanting a chilled break yet being near amenities. The nearest city is Torres Vedras (15min drive) has all the things you need, supermarkets and shopping. The enchanting Medieval village of Óbidos, is only 20min away and Lisbon 45min on the A8. We had a great stay in the cabin among the orange trees. The place is very private and the place charming, with everything you will need. We stayed 5 nights which allowed us to visit the beaches/surroundings by car. Go with your eyes closed! And don't miss the sunsets on the beaches of Porto Covo.

We had the most amazing 10 days staying with Joana and Jorge, they are wonderful hosts and the house and facilities are perfect. The area is beautifully kept and very peaceful, tucked away in the countryside but close to nearby towns, beaches and popular destinations. The accommodation was super clean and everything was brand new with lots of thoughtful touches. Already looking forward to booking another stay later this year as we can't wait to go back!

We had such a wonderful weekend at Isabel’s place. The house was very clean, well-organized, and felt very welcoming. We loved the garden and the great walks in every direction from the property, lovely nature around.
