Apartment holiday rentals in Grandfather Mountain

I was in town for a meeting and obvi the hotel options were limited. Andrew’s place was the perfect spot to lay my head. Super quick drive, like 1 minute, into town. There is a a fantastic grocery store within 10 minutes in the next town. An amazing steakhouse within 2 minutes. Many options for other places to eat, drink, and listen to music nearby.

Host was very responsive, even sending instacart supplies that were low!

If you stay somewhere three nights and as you're packing to return to life in the real world and you have the thought, "I should make staying here an annual tradition" - there's really not much else to add by way of endorsement or review. 🙂

Melissa was a great host with a great place! Generally I find issues with hotels and had a bad experience with my last BnB... but this one was extra perfect. Everything was as described and check-in/out was super easy. Thanks Melissa, best to you always!

This is our second stay at Nicole's place. Five-star accommodations - squeaky clean, super comfortable beds, and we appreciate all the extra amenities (coffee, snacks, spices, etc.). The deck is the perfect place for a morning coffee or evening meal. Can't beat the location as you can walk to town, the outlet mall, and the trails at Cone Manor Park.

We had another great stay at Retreat on the Ridge! Everything was clean and the kitchen had everything we needed for making meals. The view is unbeatable and always our favorite part of our stay!

We loved the condo it was a wonderful weekend spent in Blowing Rock. My sisters and I loved staying within walking distance of great restaurants, music and stores in a beautiful welcoming town. Memories made. We felt right at home. Thank you!

Beautiful views and peaceful place in the mountains! We had a wonderful stay here! The only thing I would say is just to pay attention to the listing because there is no air conditioning which for most of the year I know is not necessary! When I booked, I didn’t notice that she had clearly listed that there is no air-conditioning. There are ceiling fans, and one floor powered fan to help circulate the air. The views are amazing from the porch and the porch furniture is fantastic for sitting in the evening in the morning! The apartment has everything you need and is so comfortable! We really enjoyed our stay and would love to come back again!

Perfect for walking access to Beech Mountain Resort. Place was great!

This place was just what we needed for a quick weekend in the mountains. The condo was as described and looked just like the pictures. Very cozy, updated, clean, and neat. It was well equipped and had everything we needed- the toiletries in the bathroom were a nice touch. My husband is quite tall (6’7) and he struggled a bit with the ceiling and shower height. Otherwise this place was great, as described, and in a good location to get to breweries, food, and hikes. We also appreciated it was pet friendly!

This was one of the best Airbnb’s I’ve ever stayed at. Not only was everything in great condition the place was spotless. I let them know it was my brothers birthday and they had a cupcake waiting for him when he arrived. It was close to a lot of hiking and walking trails and would have been a perfect location if it was winter and we were skiing as well. Harmony was super responsive and her details for checking in and checking out made everything so smooth. I will book here again.

Tamra was super friendly. All was as described. Area is beautiful. Hot tub, quick walk to Lookout Mountain hiking trails, and short drive to cute Black Mountain town were a big plus!

Absolutely loved the building. We needed a place that allowed our dog and us to have a place to eat and cook during our downtime. The back yard is HUGE which allowed the dog to run and play while we had our campfire. The fireplace inside made me feel right at home. The kitchen was stocked and the dish washer saved me a lot of time. The view alone should make you want to stay here! Sunsets were beautiful. Parking was limited… I found it difficult to park my truck.

My husband and I are workaholics and cherish our down time and it’s very important that we can check in and relax. D.J.’s property was exactly what we look for. This little gem is so peaceful and relaxing. It was easy to find and easy to access our room. Minutes from Blowing Rock, shops, restaurants and trails. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Great apartment for a long weekend in Asheville. Easy to access downtown Asheville, flexible check in, and super responsive host.

Absolutely magical stay in Sugar Mountain! The condo was clean, fully stocked, and had everything we needed for a relaxing escape. The view was breathtaking, and perfect for coffee at sunrise or a glass of wine at sunset. Just steps away were a heated pool and hot tub, which we loved after hiking the nearby trails. Bonus: a cute little ice cream spot down the road became our daily treat. Quiet, cozy, and close to everything. Already planning our next trip back!

Beautifully furnished and peaceful condo! It was perfect for a quick two night getaway. Lynda was a great host, and instructions were easy to follow and she was very responsive to questions.

Had a great time and loved waking up to the view! The indoor pool and hot tub was nice.

Stephanie's home was very comfortable, with plenty of space, great amenities, and incredible views. I'd highly recommend it for anyone looking to stay at Sugar Mountain.

What a great place! Also the host was very kind and great communication! Very nice place and only 10 minutes from Sugar Mountain. Wonderful amenities including pool, hot tub, sauna, library, shop, workout room etc etc. Only (potential) issue which is no fault of the owners is that this is a large 10 story condo complex. On busy days, especially around the weekend it can get very busy during check in and check out and you have to park outside of the guard shack and get shuttled back to the condo. Again, we didn’t really have much of a hang up but others did-just something to keep in mind. Fantastic place, and well equipped! Thank you again!

Great 1 bedroom condo at Sugar Ski. Host was excellent unit had everything you would need and recently renovated. If you are looking for a 1 BR unit at Sugar Ski I would stay here. I always stay at Sugar Ski when coming to Sugar Mountain. Nice indoor pool area and you can’t beat the close proximity to the ski resort in the winter. You can walk out your door and start skiing right down the mountain.

Jody was super responsive and helpful from the moment we booked. The communication was spot on and was very friendly. Jody made us feel like family and very welcome. Very accommodating throughout the entire visit. We stayed for work and play so a mix of both so couldn’t ask for a better place to come back to. Views are stunning and condo is super cute. Highly recommend staying and we hope to be back soon!

Looking for peaceful surroundings and beautiful views with gorgeous sunrise and sunsets? This is the place to enjoy all you can take in. Wonderful host and immaculate place to stay. Comfortable, clean and wonderful. Hated to go back home. Will come again as soon as I can always.
