Riverwood Hideaway

This off-grid, solar powered hideaway is on the Knife River just a few miles outside of Two Harbors, Minnesota. The cabin itself is loaded with comfort. A full kitchen, propane refrigerator, solar powered lights and a gas fireplace/furnace offer the conveniences of home. There is an outhouse and firewood for the outdoor firepit. You will have to bring your own water for drinking, but we provide hand and dish washing water at the sink. We have coffee with pour over utensils, dishes, spices.

The cabin is located next to the Kadunce River and directly across the highway from the shores of Lake Superior where the beach is a nice mix of sand and small pebbles. Perfect for your own private agate hunting, stargazing, catching a sunrise, or jumping in for an invigorating swim after your sauna. Our Little House is located just 3 short miles from beautiful down town Grand Marais. There are several stores where you can purchase supplies, a number of fun shops to meander through, good food, great coffee friendly people and of course, Beautiful Lake Superior! There are several hiking, biking, skiing and snowmobile trails as well as lakes for fishing, canoeing and kayaking. We are only 20 mi from Lutsen, and 3 from the North House Folk School to visit or take in a class.
