House holiday rentals in Grand Marais

Had a short stay over spring break and this stay was exactly what we needed. Great location to drop right into the trails and Shayla was fantastic with all her communications. Can't wait to plan another trip!

we had a great stay, there were a few mechanical issues that were solved right away for us. my only real issue was the price was a bit high, especially compared to some nearby rentals, however it is a beautiful place to stay.

We enjoyed our stay and especially enjoyed the welcome pack of treats and the nice note welcoming us on our arrival. Adding a clothes dryer would be a nice extra touch for the future.

Peter’s place was perfect for our group of 13. Very clean with plenty of space. Kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed. His house manual gave us everything we needed to know and great recommendations for things to do in the area. Would love to stay there again.

Really nice cozy place. Nice scenery and good place for a hike. You can hear the river and birds chirping.

Our party of 6 really enjoyed our stay at Jean's place for 3 nights. The home was spotless and was very comfortable and well-appointed for cooking (including things like a colander and multi function toaster and a gas grill) as well as relaxing (various cards, games, books. We enjoyed exploring the beach and woods as well as sunrise and sunsets and nearby amenities (Betty's Pies! Castle Danger Brewery!) hikes (Bean and Bear Lakes, Temperance River, Gooseberry Falls) and historical sites (Split Rock Lighthouse). There is also a pool and hot tub. a quick walk away. The grounds and property are very well maintained and although it was a holiday weekend and full of other occupants, it was generally very quiet. Beds were comfortable and there were ample linens. We appreciated finding soap, shampoo and conditioner (hot showers with good water pressure!) as well as coffee, sugar and spices. Light/sound-sensitive sleepers may not want to choose the loft bedroom which is open,facing skylite

We loved our holiday skiing stay! We had two families, nine people - 4 adults and 5 young adults. The ski in/ out access was great and there was plenty of space for all of us to hang out in the great room. Bedrooms and bathrooms were spacious and clean. The kitchen was extremely well stocked and we cooked all our meals in! There is only seating for 7 at the table, but we moved a couple counter stools to the table so we could all sit there. We had some issues with the heat in the upstairs bedroom (too hot) but Shayla was responsive and helped us trouble shoot. We would stay here again!

We had a wonderful stay. The end unit is great for a beautiful view! The location is amazing to Ski in/Ski out! Very cozy with the fireplace. Love the large deck. Jesse and Dean were very helpful and quick to respond with my questions. Thank you for allowing my furry kids to join us!! It was really fun!!!!

Absolutely gorgeous location and super clean home! Well stocked with basics and comfortable inside and out. Many chairs to choose from outside. Bug spray and umbrellas available. We loved sitting on the deck by the lake when the weather was nice. Incredibly peaceful! We heard loons, geese and that's about it. No traffic/train sounds - very quiet! Loved it! Beds/pillows/towels were comfy, as was the sofa. Monica left us a package of pancake mix and everything we needed to make it. So thoughtful and delicious! Couple things to mention - bring slippers the floors are cold and there are no rugs. Also, there is no tv, but there are some dvds in a cabinet for when there is inclimate weather. We were able to get online more than half the time. (T-Mobile). The bathtub is a tall soaker, but a bit harder to get into and very slippery on the bottom. There is nowhere to eat/buy groceries nearby. The closest ones we found were in Thunder Bay 45 min up the road. A very nice place!

I have never felt more welcomed with my dog! The treats and squeaky toys were such a nice surprise. We loved spending time in the sauna, having nerf gun battles, nightly fires, and relaxing on the upper balcony and porch swing. The amenities were top notch and the kitchen had everything we needed and more to cook meals. The trip into Grand Marais was really convenient and quick! We got massages at LutZen and checked out the little shops. We also loved exploring Artist’s Point. I had one question, and they responded SO quickly. Such caring and attentive hosts! We hope to return in the future :)

Absolutely beautiful home with a stunning view of the lake. Three unique floors but you feel close to everyone no matter which floor you are on. Larger bunk beds worked great for a group. 20 minute drive to Grand Marais is super easy. Would recommend to groups or large families!

This sweet house exceded expectations and could not have been more inviting and comfortable. It was hard to leave! But I'm already planning a return...highly recommended for anyone looking for a most tranquil escape.

There are Airbnbs that offer a stay, but the Tofte House provides an exceptional Airbnb experience. From start to finish this was a flawless process. The home offers everything you could possibly need from comfortable beds and a well stocked and labeled kitchen, and the serene lake and fauna provided a wonderful background, but the graciousness of Deidra sharing her enthusiasm of the house and the area is what made this trip comfortable, fun, rejuevinating and memorable. They have thought of everything to make your vacation special: we cant wait for the next trip!

This house is in Hovland on the North Shore (relatively close to the Canadian border), and the view from the house of Lake Superior is breathtaking. You can just sit there and enjoy it. The home is well-equipped, with a lovely wood-burning fireplace (it made an especially lovely aroma in the house). We also liked the charming river bordering the property, it's literally a small river going through which gives more feelings of wilderness. Easy access to Grand Marais, Lutsen, and Grand Portage, and also to abundant hiking trails, which we really enjoyed.

Our say here was absolutely perfect. The beds were very comfortable and there were multiple specious areas for us all to hang out. We especially loved the outdoor patio area with fire table. We would definitely stay here again when visiting Grand Marais.

Loved our stay at this place. For once the photos did not do it justice. The place is lovelier than the pictures. We hope to come again.

We arrived at the house in sub zero temperatures and were very happy to be inside the house with the wonderful radiant heated floors. Warm and cozy! Comfortable beds and warm blankets made for restful nights. The view of the bay is beautiful. Moon rising over the horizon reflected on the ice . We heard Great Horned Owls hooting in the distance. Next visit we hope to come in the summer or fall to walk around more and see the lake. Thanks again!

This is our 2nd timing staying here and just like last time, we really enjoyed our stay! Perfect location for winter activities- close to snowmobiling trails. Great parking for our trailer. We really love that we can bring our dogs as well!

This place was fantastic! Exactly what we were looking for on our getaway trip. Quiet location to relax and enjoy the hot tub in the evenings. Quick trip to town for anything. Will definitely be back!!

Peaceful, quiet and cozy! We loved our long weekend here. Plenty of space for four people and we loved having our dog with us, too! Lots of room in the kitchen to cook and ample space to hang out or have a little solo time to rejuvenate. This place is truly a gem!

exceptional lightning fast internet that enabled 2 remote workers to work all week without problems very clean and well kept space with lots of coffee to welcome us and keep us fueled for workdays and local adventures outside in the north shores area large easy parking was extremely safe and private, which was especially helpful because I was moving cross country and had my car loaded with personal items. never felt unsafe!

Great open entertainment space! Nice quiet location but close to Superior National Golf Course. Will probably try to rent again with friends!

Jess and Paul were really responsive, welcoming and made our guests feel at home. This luxurious north shore cabin, located on the lush mountain side of Pincushion Mountain, has a super peaceful atmosphere and convenient access to open trails. The cabin was super beautiful, clean and well stocked with amenities. The area was super commutable to restaurants, shops, and Lake Superior. I highly recommend staying here if you want a peaceful, easygoing, and adventurous vacation. This cabin is worth booking over and over again. Thank you again for the awesome stay!

We love Bayfield and the Chequamegon Bay area, and Willard House was a perfect jumping off point. A quick walk down the hill to Lake Superior, shops and restaurants (do keep in mind it's a decent uphill back to the house for those who may have issues walking). The house was well-appointed and clean, and the hosts were sure to reach out to us multiple times to check in during our stay. Bonus points for allowing dogs. We would definitely stay here again!
