Family-friendly holiday rentals in Grand Marais

Jereme, was so helpful with all aspects of our 4 night stay at this Beautiful spot near the Poplar River. Skiing out was a breeze and we had enough snow to ski all the way back as well. The kids enjoyed the hot tub and pool at Caribou and everyone enjoyed this wonderful skiing experience. Great host and great spot at Lutsen Mountains!

Comfortable, clean second floor condo a short drive from Bayfield with wooded view from kitchen window. Working jacuzzi and adequate cooking supplies. Jon was quick to respond to questions.

Host had great communication and instructions. Easy to check in and get into room.

We had a wonderful family get-away and Rick's home was the ideal place to stay! The location was perfect. The views of the lake were spectacular and the home was cozy with many thoughtful amenities.

It was a perfect place for a get-a-away! Clean and comfortable and the option of kitchenware was sufficient for some basic cooking. I would definitely recommend for a single person or a couple, maybe not for a family with multiple children; everything is so close together it would be hard to not wake up the kids or vs-versa.

I really enjoyed my 4 nights at Knife River. Paula was very responsive and the home was well equipped and had everything we needed. I enjoyed the near by river trail, smoked fish shop, and candy store. Two harbors is only a 15 minute drive as well. My dog is fearful of other dogs, and this was a great place for her to take a break from city living and enjoy nature without too many other dogs around. I would love to visit again in the winter since it seems there may be some local events going on during that time!

This is a wonderful off grid get away. We did a winter trip and pulled sleds with skis. Brought in water, coffee, and food. Made fires in the stoves for heat, and had a couple great saunas with cold plunges in the lake. Everything required work which is what my group was looking for. Wood to split, fires to feed, and lanterns to see at night. Close enough to ski back to the car and head to Ely anytime we wanted. Would recommend for unplugging from the busy world. Still had cell service if needed, but we stayed on airplane mode for the most part.

This is a great little place in Ely. Easy to get to and the fenced in yard is really great. Aubrey is incredibly quick to respond and her place had everything you could want. I'd stay here again for sure.

The cabin is beautiful, peaceful, remote, inviting, very clean, and so comfortable! It was a perfect getaway for our family. Access to the sauna at the Lodge was wonderful. Very kind and responsive host. Thank you!

Where to start? Larry, this was so far and above what we expected! The house and furnishings were beautiful! We have a sleep number bed at home, but the beds were so comfortable we didn't even miss it! You have the house so well stocked with supplies it unbelievable. And the view! WOW! It's super hard to please 6 adults, but you did! We were at an assembly over the weekend and told people about how amazing your place is, and they all wanted to know where it was and how to rent it! Honestly, we didn't want to tell them because it feels like we found a shining gem and didn't want to tell!! If you'll have us again, we would LOVE to rent from you again! Varsha was a very responsive host that answered all my questions. Check in and check out institutions were very clear and easy to follow. A very cozy environment that feels like home. This was a beautiful home with beautiful views and it was a great place for our family to spend some time together after a wedding.

My wife, dog and I stayed a week over the winter to get out of the city. Great place right on Lake Superior and next to the porkies. The Finnish sauna on the beach is unreal. We had such a blast we rented the place in the summer. Would highly recommend.

What a place and what a view! A great time was had by our family of 7 in this amazing place. We had lots of great communication from the host on our stay. It was a place that we shared great meals with the well stocked kitchen and grill, played games and laughed around the amazing north woods dining table, and we were able to get to all the parks and attractions that we wanted with the convenient location on Hwy 61. Thanks so much for a great place to stay...we've already recommended you to a number of friends :)

we had a great stay, there were a few mechanical issues that were solved right away for us. my only real issue was the price was a bit high, especially compared to some nearby rentals, however it is a beautiful place to stay.

Jon's place was great for me and my wife with our 2 small dogs. we were the first renters of the season and there wasn't any coffee, so Jon immediately gave me a $15 refund. great directions for hiking trails, nice quiet place and great location for visiting the Apostle islands. we would definitely stay there again.
