Farmstay holiday rentals in Gironde estuary

Stephane and Sylvie were amazing hosts. They gave us great local recommendations, organised a personal winery tour for us and booked in a massage. The location is beautiful, peaceful setting and the pool was fantastic. We booked to have breakfast one morning - it was stunning. Beautiful presentation and lovely food. We highly recommend staying here - truley relaxing.

The house is beautiful, the park is nice and the hosts are welcoming. Everything is together for a lovely stay at this place.

We had a really wonderful stay here. The Cottage had everything we needed and Mandie and Badger were super hosts. The location is perfect, far enough out of town to really experience peace and tranquility and close enough to everything that you may want to explore. The little touches offered such as fresh bread delivered to your door each morning and everything for your first evening meal on arrival were very welcome. We would love to return!

This is a great place from which to visit and explore the local countryside and wineries, especially in the Fronsac and St Emilion areas locally.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Le Petit Cinq Ruffe. Caroline and Paul were excellent hosts and made us feel very welcome. Nothing was too much trouble. The property was lovely and met all our needs. The location was very rural and quiet; exactly what we had hoped for. The welcome included a lovely platter of local produce and delicious wine. We thoroughly enjoyed it! We would not hesitate to highly recommend this property.

Very good stay in this beautiful and AUTHENTIC family home with undeniable charm. We were 4 adults and 2 children 3/4 years old: the children loved playing in the sandpit/bocce court in the garden and the educational farm nearby, we adults we loved the large friendly kitchen and the masterful bathroom with views of the countryside. Small bonus for dishes: what a pleasure to eat on cute vintage plates! The house is very old, so it was a little wet when we arrived (no surprise given the season) but once the fireplace started and the house ventilated, everything was normal. This is a really lovely cottage in amongst the vines, and a wonderful pool, terrace, bbq... It was extremely hot for the first few days (over 38 degrees) and although the cottage wasn't air-conditioned, it was cool and there were plenty of fans. Emma was extremely helpful and suggested lots of local restaurants and activities which were all great. The cottage was well supplied with everything we needed - good for cooking, and I read from (and donated to) the great little library of books provided. The unexpected bonus was that her TV could access UK BBC live and we watched a LOT of the Olympics with UK commentary! Such a lovely holiday, thank you.

Absolute bliss, and a home from home for my family. It's so beautiful, stunning outlook and view, incredible pool, the decor, the kids' room, the comfy lounge. it has everything we need, we couldn't love it more! Marianne as our neighbour and host is the icing on the cake - such a kind, funny and interesting lady. This is our second time at Inge's place, and we are already planning a return! Beautiful, peaceful surroundings. We used the bikes to ride to the village where there were amenities, including a grocery store. Branne is close by with more restaurants, and amenities. Easy to reach wine tasting options. Hanging out by the pool is also good with amazing views and a bbq.

The accommodation is very nice, well decorated and well equipped. It feels like home. It's a very nice cocoon. Emmanuelle was very welcoming (lives nearby) and kind to welcome us, advise us on the wineries to visit as well as the walks. We'd like to come back, that's for sure. The outdoor spaces (nice courtyard with garden furniture and barbecue) as well as the garden on the other side are very pleasant. We were 5 adults and all enjoyed our stay (without disturbing each other) in this beautiful house.

A fantastic getaway. The accommodation was very clean, well decorated and set in a beautiful location. Victoria and Rob were great hosts and made us feel very welcome going above and beyond to make our stay truly memorable. Would highly recommend!

The host is very communicative and went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. The place was lovely, clean, and in a perfect location. We especially appreciated the local winery tour and welcome basket. We would definitely stay here again!

We had the most wonderful holiday at Christine and Eric's beautiful home, it was even more amazing than we expected. Everything that we needed for a 10-day stay with our toddler. Christine and Eric were fantastic hosts, they greeted us and gave us a short tour, which helped us feel right at home. The highlight was the pool, our toddler was so excited to use it! Very peaceful setting, you definitely need a car to get around but it's a short distance to a supermarket and other nearby villages and of course Bordeaux. Merci, Christine and Eric.

We had a wonderful, relaxing stay at Clos Castaing. Kayaking, paddle boarding and canoeing on the Dordogne. Cycling and visiting local vineyards and St Emilion. The house is full of character, spacious and a perfect, tranquil base.
