Castle holiday rentals in Germany

Martin was a very responsive and friendly host, he welcomed us with a bottle of his local wine and after we checked in gave us a detailed tour of the large wine cellars below the property. Winningen is a great village, easy to walk around, restaurants and bars. Surrounding are great monuments and walking path areas.

We had a wonderful stay at “the castle.” The communal kitchen led to a few nice conversations with other guests and the farm store downstairs (with delicious raw milk!) was a total highlight for the kids and us. We’re sure to recommend and will be back!

We felt very comfortable in the Schloss Möhren. Sandra and her husband were incredibly friendly and helpful. We'll be very happy to come back.

Great long weekend away with friends. We really enjoyed the East Wing, it had everything we needed. Lovely view over the Mosel river. Comfortable beds and well equipped kitchen. Even though it was warm, we loved the woodstove and wood provided. Karen is a wonderful host! We enjoyed a wine tasting and grill evening with other guests. Definitely recommend!

Daniela is the groundskeeper for Franz and she is a wonderful host. It's a beautiful house/castle with lots of room. the master bedroom is upstairs with a bathroom across the hallway. there are two rooms downstairs with a bathroom in between. Internet is sufficient for one person to do zoom video calls. WiFi signal in the bedrooms downstairs are a bit weak. But then whose working when you have such beautiful backyard (acres) to explore. Daniela and her daughter gave us the best tour of the castle. highly recommend this experience.

Dear Philipp, We felt very comfortable with you, from check-in to check-out it was a dream in this special place! You could see in every detail, both in terms of the interior and in terms of the incredibly refined garden design, how much professional work you put into the renovation of the substance, which is very admirable! What a place!! Wonderful apartment steeped in history. Super clean comfy and well equipped. Arnoud was so friendly and helpful. Nice pool and bar snacks etc too. So pleased to find this place.

Everything worked out great, super hostess. The price was fair, of course the stay in an old castle is not very cheap. The surrounding area is very nice, you can take many great excursions and also a bus stop is nearby.

We stayed here for the second time and were very satisfied again. The space is functional and modernly equipped. Everything was clean, parking is available. There is a lot to do in the area. Especially on New Year's Eve a wonderful, quiet destination for our stay with a dog. We'll be back.

One of our best ever Air B&B experiences, staying in a castle with so much history. The schloss was amazing, the suite incredible and Heidi and Egon really friendly. Everything was pristine and we loved our stay. Thank you so much!

Located in a quiet village but with easy access to the tram into Würzburg. Excellent local Italian restaurant (di Ricci) which has a limited menu but the food is delicious .

It was clean when we arrived and we could easily get in through the key safe. Had very pleasant contact the next day with the staff at the reception about the sauna for the next day. Restaurant 20 meters away with delicious food and a supermarket 10 minutes walk away. Good quality beds and shower. All in all great

We very much enjoyed our stay in the castle. The unit was very spacious and full of charm—you could even climb the tower. The location could not have been better with a bakery, Italian restaurant and market just steps away.

We had the guest apartment with garden access and loved it! Bigger than the pictures. The kitchen is fully equipped. For 4 people, everything is available. The dog also got his own feeding station, really thought of everything:) highly recommended for dog owners and always worth a trip!

Everything worked as expected, location is unique and staying in a castle by itself is a once in a lifetime experience.

great place & beautiful garden

The stay was great, we felt very comfortable! It is a bit cold in the lock, but it could be heated in all rooms with a fireplace and there were hot water bottles :-) Really an absolute oasis of well-being. The garden with grill and fireplace is amazing and great for cozy campfire evenings :-)

We were guests at the Herrenhaus Viecheln for the second time because we simply liked it very much there and we wanted to experience the house during the Christmas season. The Christmas concert provided a nice occasion. The manor house is a harmonious total work of art to touch and we enjoyed every minute. Thanks for the great breakfast 😊

Ottenhain Castle, formerly a manor house, is almost a must-see in the region. Susanne and Klaus, "the lords of the castle", live on the ground floor. They have a very sweet dog who is only allergic to the doorbell. Susanne gave us a short tour of the castle and park and showed us the apartment. A total of three apartments are available. also asks about the tower climb! It's a pleasure. Furthermore, there is a library and a campfire area. On the ground floor and 1st floor, renovation work is still taking place. It will probably take a little longer until it shines in its former glory. It is intended for public events and will benefit the village. There was a safe place to park our bicycles. It enjoyed it very much.

In a castle; a castle and the apartment was so chic and large and with all the amenities. If I had a question, Xenia responded very quickly!

We had a very nice, relaxing and through the gong session and the nice chatting afterwards unforgettable New Year's Eve with Marianne and Daniel. The two were very friendly and we were able to talk directly. They were super accessible with questions, responded quickly and had great tips. We would like to come back!
