Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Georgian Bay

My husband and I had a wonderful stay at Amanda’s cottage. The place is fully renovated with a picturesque front porch and a private backyard space. The cottage is nestled in between others and you can barely tell given how peaceful the street is. Proximity to Wiarton is a plus if you’re wanting to go out for food or a coffee shop. Highly recommend the stay, and Amanda is very responsive if you have any questions or need recos! Would definitely come back.

From the moment we arrived, we were struck by the waterfront location, offering serene views and a truly relaxing atmosphere. The helpful host truly made our experience exceptional. Communication was prompt and clear, and they went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed, whenever required. This level of hospitality significantly enhanced our stay. The well-equipped kitchen was a dream for preparing meals. It had everything one could possibly need, from essential cookware and utensils to a good range of appliances. Outstanding location, beautiful and well appointed home, and exceptional hosts. No need to drive or pay for parking, Westwater is a five minute walk from the charms and activities of Tobermory Harbour’s cruises, shops and restaurants. Also a short walk to Bruce Peninsula National Park’s Visitor Centre. The apartment’s honey-amber wood panelling, beams and furniture welcome you to relax but with all the modern appliances, conveniences and supplies you could hope for… and more! The huge walk-out deck has views of Georgian Bay and the ferry to Manitoulin Island. Spend the evening lounging or having a refreshment while viewing the Georgian Bay sunset. Enjoy a barbecue or sit around a cozy fire pit stocked with wood and kindling. The best part of your stay are Joyce and Mike; warm, welcoming and knowledgeable hosts who greet you and regularly check in to ensure your stay is better than you ever imagined!

We had an amazing stay at Jane and Steve’s place! They were very warm and were always accommodating and ensuring our stay was going well. Jane even ensured we got to our trail start and end one day. Everything about the “loft” was comfortable, the banana bread was amazing and it felt like we were visiting old friends. Thanks so much for helping to make a rainy cold weekend enjoyable!

We had a wonderful stay at Matt’s lakefront cottage! The view was absolutely stunning, perfect for relaxing mornings and peaceful evenings. The cottage is fully equipped with everything you could possibly need, both indoors and outdoors. We especially enjoyed the outdoor BBQ, cozy campfire area, and kayaking right from the shore. Inside, the entertainment options kept us just as happy, and the kitchen was a real highlight with modern appliances and even a water filter (such a thoughtful touch). This place truly has it all. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a scenic, comfortable, and well-equipped getaway!

My friends and I booked this house for our boys trip and we had a great time. The house was clean, roomy and in a fantastic location. It was the perfect weekend for some friends to get together and relax/catch up.

I enjoyed a peaceful 2 weeks at this beautiful Airbnb! The setting is surreal surrounded by nature and a river! I had everything I needed and I enjoyed a few nights with a cozy fire in the wood stove. The bed and couches were very comfortable. The No Frills in Shelburne was a great grocery store nearby. Wendy was always very responsive and helpful. As clearly noted in the description, there is no cell service but not a big deal as there is wifi. I hope to be back again one day! A true gem!

We had a fantastic stay at Sarah's place. The surroundings were very peaceful and private, yet conveniently close to all amenities. We were in the area for a fastball tournament, and this accommodation was a much nicer option than a hotel or motel. We utilized the kitchen to prepare our breakfasts and dinners instead of eating out, and the living room was a comfortable space for us to relax in during the evenings. The bedroom was spacious, and the bed and linens were extremely comfortable. We would definitely recommend this place to our friends and family. Thank you for a great stay!

Matt and shauna were marvellous hosts!! they were extremely responsive and very kind! The house was perfect! Exactly as described, right by the water, for a great price! The cutest place with a full kitchen which was greatly appreciated! The weather wasn’t great but nothing a great book and even better view couldn’t fix! It made the perfect destination for our girls trip! 1000/10 recommend staying with them if you can!

Great place and great host, very pro active

It was the perfect accommodation for our annual ladies golf trip. It is conveniently located near the golf course and the village. The house is beautifully appointed, comfortable, and clean.

Great location, really close to the village, golf, trails and the Scandinave Spa. Condo unit is exactly as advertised with a comfy sofa to lunge on. Beds are comfortable and all linens and needed amenities were easy to find and use.

This is our third year staying with Kristi & John and we love coming to their condo. The condo has everything you need, VERY comfy bed, plenty of utensils, plates, bowls, pots/pans, toaster, coffee maker and more.. which helps me pack light! haha! the condo is always clean & always feels like a home away from home. Kristi is very responsive with any questions we have and very kind! we look forward to next years trip to the condo!

The perfect little get away. The condo was super clean and updated, as well as homey/welcoming. Pino provided everything you could need. The view was beautiful. It was just what we needed for the best weekend.

My husband and i make a date once a month to go away locally for a night (kid free) and this place was so cozy and perfect! We had dinner outside on the picnic table on the deck, bed was super comfortable.

A group of four of us stayed here, home felt very spacious, and was nice and tidy. We made use of the free shuttle service to and from Blue Mountain village, which was so easy to navigate, and a quick drive.
