Another fantastic Spring Break at the Best Box! The nicest, cleanest, most relaxing rental we’ve ever found. Didn’t think the property could be any better than it was last year, but the owners have managed to make many creative and thoughtful upgrades. Enjoyed days at the beach, days on the sound, chartered a boat for fishing, ate tons of seafood, and saw the best sunsets right from the deck. Literally took advantage of everything in this house - from crabbing to fishing to baggo to flying kites to playing board games to darts and foosball. Oh and kayaking, relaxing in the hammock, and tubing, too.

Loved my stay !!! Beds were super comfy! And the house was super nice with a 10 min walk to the beach !

this is our fourth stay at Pelican Point and we absolutely love being here. It's a unique property with character, natural beauty, outstanding sunsets and easy access to the ocean. Every night we went out for silent sunset viewings from the bungalow porch or the dock and enjoyed the evening bird life flying overhead, the calls, and the beautiful clouds and colors as the sun sunk into the Pamlico Sound . The spacious kitchen had everything we needed and we had many wonderful meals. Beds are comfy, and loved being able to spread out between two residences. The pool and hottub were great options since it was a bit cold for swimming in early May. Communication with Dawn was quick and seamless if you had a questions for her! A plus vacation rental all around!

Dare Dream was just as pictured on the photos. The kitchen was amazing and incredibly well stocked, and the beds were comfortable. The proximity to the beach was perfect for us and just what we were looking for.

Wow, what a beautiful place and such a lovely host. She answered every question I had quickly and with kindness. The house had so many fun things to do inside and all my guests had no complaints of comfort. The view was gorgeous and the walk to the beach is unbeatable.

We had a fabulous stay at the Dune Haus. We had two families with 5 children total, and everyone was comfortable. The beach was amazing, and felt so private and uncrowded. The water was warm and we all had so much fun playing in the waves. The forecast predicted rain every day of our stay, but it ended up only raining at night or at times that we were inside.

Great location and it's a very easy walk to beach. Cottage was very comfortable and has a great view of ocean from the upper deck. We enjoyed our stay very much.

The Grey Pearl is the perfect vacation home. The kitchen was well stocked and had every cooking utensil you could possibly need. The beds and linens ensured a restful night. Loved the hot water on demand for showers. The decor and restoration of this older home far exceeded our expectations. The screened in back porch was the best for morning coffee and evening wine. The neighborhood is quiet. Not even one barking dog. We have vacationed on the island for 25 years and this is the all around best home we have found. Just wish we had found it sooner

The name speaks true! It really is a beautiful hidden gem in Avon. From its ideal location to everything, to all the amenities the host provide. This location has been the best I’ve had the pleasure of staying at. It made my boyfriend’s birthday weekend and our friends loved it! David & Misty are truly wonderful hosts. Thank you again! 😊

Great place to stay! Clean house, lots of places to eat & things to do within a short drive, peaceful location, easy check-in & check-out, and quick responses to questions about the accommodations. Highly recommend!

We had a very pleasant stay at Amy’s home nestled in a very quiet and serene sound side neighborhood. We found Just Enough to be more than enough for 2 and a dog! Loved the screened porch and spent almost every evening out there just relaxing and watching the storms on rain days. We were a very short drive to some really great restaurants- loved the sandwiches from Pamlico Deli and steamed shrimp from Tavern 12! Great nearby coffee shops, gift shops, and bakeries (get an Apple Ugly from Orange Blossom!). The jeep rental spot is one road over so that was convenient for our beach off-roading day. For one first time visitor (2 if you count the dog), and one returning to OBX after many years, we couldn’t have been happier with our choice to stay down in Frisco at Just Enough. Highly recommend this rental and we would absolutely return on a future visit to the Outer Banks. Thank you for everything!

We had a great birthday weekend at the Evening Star! We enjoyed taking the paddle boat out on the canal with our dog for the first time- it was an unforgettable experience. It was great to be able to relax in the chairs on the dock in the mornings. The location was great and we enjoyed the short walk to the Dairy Queen and to the beach access. Gisa was a great host and provided a plethora of helpful information and suggestions for our stay! She was also very responsive to our requests for flexible check-in and check-out times. We are very much looking forward to staying at the Evening Star again soon!

The house is nice and we were very comfortable. Plenty of space for two families with kids and pets. The pool is big and the deck is nice with several spots to sit and relax. The beach is huge in this part of North Avon and is rare these days in the outer banks. Highly recommend and would stay here again. No issues

I hate to gush about Margot's home, I need to make sure it stays available when we return! When I say the pictures dont do this place juatice, I'm not exaggerating. The entire upstairs is just one LARGE open space. Kitchen with everything you could possibly need. An amazing reading nook with a view of the ocean. Two porches to see the ocean from and a porch to see the sound off the back! And the master bedroom has an amazing screened in porch that's oceanview. I love that the steps go directly to the enclosed dog lot so you can let your guys out safely. The super quick walk across the road and over the dune couldn't have been easier for the best beach access and the neighborhood is so very private and quiet. I cannot say enough about the communication with Margot being so quick and positive and she has the best housekeeper on the island for sure.

Mary Ellen and Jim’s place was absolutely perfect for our stay on the island. It was quaint, clean, and overall lovely. The outdoor shower was amazing and exactly what you need after a long day at the beach. On top of that the AC is top notch, even on the hottest day we knew we could come back to a cool space to relax and unwind. The location is central to all the great spots on the island, just a short golf cart ride! Mary Ellen and Jim were very accommodating in providing us with everything we needed from golf cart chargers to bikes and ocean kayaks. Also, the handwritten note welcoming us to the space and to the island was a really nice touch, making us feel right at home . We will definitely be coming back for another stay.

Amy’s place was absolutely beautiful! It looked just like the pictures and the location was perfect! I would highly recommend staying here! Amy is also a fabulous host and very responsive. Could not have asked for a better stay!

Scooters place is very unique, a peaceful setting and very private, virtually one of a kind. You’re going to love it. It’s warm in the daytime but delightful in the evening and early morning. You’ll hear the sounds of chirping birds and frogs. This is one you don’t wanna miss. There’s just something magical about all those antique surfboards in the loft above you. we are definitely headed back again.

Great location on canal and near town shops/restaurants. Multiple kayaks/life jackets for use. Home is well-maintained and offers plenty of sleeping options.

My friends and I stayed in Cheryl’s home for a post graduation trip. We loved our time in Salvo and the house offered everything we could need and more. Cheryl is very responsive and her property manager Donna was there if we needed anything. The house comfortably fit 9 people and the kitchen was well supplied with dishes. The beach was a short walk away and the town of Salvo is quiet and cute. I would recommend Cheryl’s house if you’re looking for a quiet get away.

We enjoyed our stay! Everything was great from location, cleanliness and ease of checking in and out. Dylan was a great host and we will return!

Our family had a wonderful time on our stay! Everything was exactly as pictured, less than a 2 minute walk to beach access. Dining, grocery, and gas all close within a 5-10 minute drive but with the privacy and quietness of a residential area! Perfect for hard of walking/disabled due to all one story home with limited steps (hard to find in the area!) wheelchair accessible beach area close by and in many different locations as well. Really enjoyed the ample amount of space, TVs in most bedrooms and a large TV in living area. Meredith was amazing at giving me all the information needed prior to our scheduled arrival and the home was pristinely clean with posted instructions on when garbage removal day is scheduled, shower towels and beach towels available with the request to wash the beach towels before leaving (totally understandable and Meredith supplied the detergents). I could go on and on about how wonderful this place is. But definitely booking again!!!

We had a wonderful one-night stay in Buxton. The home was spotless, cozy, and so thoughtfully put together, you can tell a lot of care went into it. We visited the nearby lighthouse and caught a beautiful sunrise. Would love to come back and explore more next time!

Tim was very responsive and gave clear instructions, House was as described with ample parking and at a great location (you can walk 100 yards and be on the beach). We were in town surf fishing and from the driveway to The Point was 10 minutes with options for food, tackle, bait etc. between the two. I have rented from Tim before and I will again, it has been seamless every time.
