Holiday rentals with a fireplace in French Basque Country

We, 2 families with 5 kids between 3 and 11 had a magnificient time in Audrey‘s house. While the weather can always be a bit of a challenge in April, the pool was warmed up and hence delivered a ton of joy for all of us. House was very well equipped with all amenities we could wish for. Handover easy, house brilliant, beach around the corner, restaurant around the corner, bakery to easily reach in 10-15 min by foot. So no real negatives. Off-season price seems good too. Thank you Audrey, that we were able to stay in your house.

A very beautiful and very pleasant house at height, quiet, facing south with the sun all day. Possible hiking departures from the house, to go to the Rhune for example. The coast is very close (Saint Jean de Luz 10’). Nearby shops. Sophie is very responsive and considerate to give information about the area. Great stay!

We were immediately enthusiastic and felt comfortable right away. Lots of space, great location, everything sparkling clean. There is even a bathtub :-) Unfortunately, the weather prevented us from enjoying the great view, but the view of the mountains is there and there are great trees in front of the house. Everything was available in the interior and nothing was left to be desired. Thank you for this great place to stay.

Nicolas' accommodation is well located, quiet, perfect for resting in the Béarnaise countryside. Very well equipped, great kitchen. Special mention for the terrace where you can have breakfast in the sun ☀️

The cottage is well located , in a very quiet place and with a magnificent view. It is large and particularly well equipped, with books and games for children. Special mention to the donkey Pepito who made our little Leo happy. We will be back!

It is a small village with about 10 houses. 2,5 km up the mountain at the end of the road. Wonderfully quiet. Spacious house with all amenities. Downstairs a lovely shower. Good double bed in the bedroom with cot. Particularly friendly host who came to welcome us.

Rafa's house is perfect for spending a few days in the countryside. Clean, comfortable and tidy. Special mention to the bed that was super comfortable. Small and quiet village, but with a wide range of activities nearby or even walking from the house. I would definitely repeat!!

Alvaro was a wonderful host and we are happy that we chose his place to stay in Hondarribia! The apartment was lovely and we had a most comfortable stay. Alvaro was always in contact with us and made us feel at home. Upon our arrival, he helped us park our vehicle and then kindly showed us around Hondarribia. We would like to come back again the next time we visit Hondarribia. Highly recommended!

We had a really nice family holiday at Annie's place. The house and town are perfect for hiking in the area and short day trips to e.g. San Sebastian and to the sea. We've enjoyed it a lot.

Sua has furnished the apartment very tastefully and practically. We slept very well and the wonderful shower refreshed us. The location is great, 😊 just around the corner and the splendors of Hondarribia await you. Excursions to San Sebastian and Bilbao, as well as extensive walks at the port, ensure varied days. Beautifully 🤩 picturesque, culinary delights, great apartment. We had a wonderful stay and would gladly recommend Sua's hospitality. 🤩

Our stay went very well. The accommodation was very comfortable, the bedding was good quality and we didn't miss anything. Everything was impeccable in terms of cleaning. Many services were available to us, many things provided such as towels, bathrobes, shower gel, or for breakfast such as milk, fruit juice, jam, honey in addition to coffee or tea! We enjoyed the balcony for eating outside. It was also very convenient to park the car at the foot of the accommodation. We enjoyed our independent stay. Sylvie and her husband are very welcoming and attentive while being discreet. The proximity of the highway did not bother us in terms of noise. We would recommend this listing!

We had a particularly pleasant week in Marion's beautiful apartment. Michèle and her husband's hospitality was perfect, we were able to arrive earlier than expected, which was very useful for us when we arrived on a Sunday morning. I recommend this apartment, which is among the most remarkable we have occupied. It is an address to remember for a future stay in this beautiful city of Pau.

We had a wonderful stay with 2 families with young children in this beautiful house :). The welcome was very pleasant, the hosts kindly offered to adapt our arrival and departure times in the house and gave us many recommendations for the stay. The house is extremely well equipped, tastefully decorated, warm, spacious, very comfortable, the heated pool is perfect for children (and adults!), the large garden on the edge of the pine forest was very popular. Everything was perfect, we will all be happy to come back!! Thank you for the lovely memories we will keep of our stay in the Landes.

We spent a wonderful week at Olivia's place in August. The place is amazing, with that great "old French country house" feel but with plenty of modern amenities. We took full advantage of the large kitchen and the pool in the backyard. We also used the dishwasher and washing machine multiple times. The house is located in the small village of Ahetze, which was exactly what we wanted. Very quiet, but also very easy to drive to the beaches on the coast, out into the Basque countryside, or over the border to San Sebastian and Bilbao. There's a large parking area in front of the house as well. Olivia was a fantastic host - incredibly communicative, friendly and helpful. Overall, it was one of our favorite AirBnb houses that we've ever stayed in. We'd love to come back!

A gem by the ocean... Beautiful cozy house with feet in the sand, with a delicious fish restaurant right next door. We had all our privacy. There is a bus that serves the house from Bayonne train station, which is very convenient and the TER train station is a 20-minute walk. Nicolas was great with us. I'd recommend it without a second thought.

I rent houses on a regular basis. Lynn and Kristoff house is on of the best rental I have experienced in terms of location, quality of house and friendliness of the owners. We were 8 adults renting the house for 5 days and we were all unanimous about this wonderful house. Everything was perfect. This house will exceed anybody’s expectations. Congratulations!! 👏👏

We had a lovely time at Camille's house. It is large and very pleasant to live in, ideally located in a quiet area while being right next to the center of the pretty village of Sare. Perfect for discovering the region while having a quiet and pleasant place!

We had a wonderful week at this lovely place, full of 70s charm. Everything has its own style — slightly dated, but very well maintained and in great condition. We stayed with four children under the age of two, and they truly had the time of their lives. The garden is a highlight, with both sunny and shady spots under beautiful old trees — perfect for little explorers. The pool was still a bit cool at this time of year, but ideal for a refreshing dip. We also brought a small baby pool, which worked perfectly for the toddlers. There’s a barbecue, and the location is fantastic: great for walks, stroller-friendly, and just a 15-minute walk to the beach with 2 nice beach restaurants. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would come back in a heartbeat.

Had a great week with the family. The villa had everything you could need and only a 20min walk from the beach. Only negative was the pool was quite large and not heated so a bit too cold to use in September

We felt right at home, the Agency was very helpful ! The home is surrounded by a lot of trees and is very peaceful. The rooms are spacious even the « TV ROOM ». Kitchen has all the amenities for stay at home lunch and diner. The pacio is perfect for dinner and apero !
