Holiday rentals with a kayak in Franklin County

As a host, Lisa went beyond what was expected by leaving welcome treats for us. The house is beautifully decorated and spotless. Lisa has stocked the place with an abundance of supplies. Outdoors , you’ll find a spacious backyard with gardens and patios with tables and chairs and a fire-pit, as well as lots of wood ready to go. The house is located right across from the lake on a quiet road and only a short drive from great restaurants, shops, and coffee, as well as easy access to many top places to visit in Vermont. There is a park about a mile down the road with a playground and ball field, as well as a boat launch. This is a great place to stay and I definitely recommend it and would come back again. BTW, the ride from Lisa’s place to Stowe along the back road is truly spectacular.

We had a lovely stay at Molly's house on the lake. The area is rural and beautiful; we spent days kayaking, cycling to nearby islands, and just sitting on the back patio enjoying the lake. Molly was responsive and friendly.

My wife, daughter and I spent a holiday weekend here and it was wonderful. The house was very clean and spacious. Beautiful view of Lake Champlain and very peaceful and quiet surroundings. We loved our stay here and would definitely consider staying here again when we are in the area!

Ashley’s place was absolutely perfect - very comfortable and clean, tastefully furnished and decorated, state of the art shower, super organized kitchen, lovely deck with lake view and cornfields - and complete with all the amenities one would want! Upon our arrival we found a warm welcome card and a big basket of snacks. It was a wonderful place to relax and use as a base for visiting nearby islands, Burlington and other local attractions. Ashley was very responsive, flexible and accommodating to our specific needs. We really appreciated her thoughtfulness and will definitely stay there again!!

This place was amazing. My partner Juliana and I were blown away when we first arrived and photos truly can’t do a justice to how amazing this place was to visit. Kaitlynn and Ian went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and safe in their home. When we first got into the house, we immediately saw a gift basket with all Vermont made snacks and treats for us, along with a personalized note welcoming us. Next to that was a binder with clear instructions how to use the amenities included, tips to local shops and restaurants for us to visit, as well as clear check out instructions. They even had a karaoke setup which I could imagine would be so much fun if we had brought friends along. The hot tub was great, everything in the house was spotless clean and had a very cozy, welcoming vibe making you feel like it wasn’t just another rental. If I could give this place 6 stars I would in a heartbeat. My partner and I will definitely be looking at staying again over the summer.

We enjoyed our stay - we were in town for a family wedding nearby and the space allowed our extended family to gather easily. Unfortunately the weather wasn’t great so we weren’t able to take advantage of the outdoor space but did make use of the pool and foosball tables in the basement. The view of Lake Champlain right outside the windows was great - beautiful sunsets. The kitchen was well stocked and we were able to grill one night - the local Hannaford grocery store was less than 10 minutes away. As described in the listing, there are only 2 full bathrooms. It was a little tight having 8 people trying to shower and get ready for the wedding at the same time. Overall, a nice place in a pretty location.

Chloe was a great host! Checkin was very easy. The location is beautiful. Perfect for my family of 5 and our 2 dogs. Highly recommend!

We had a lovely visit to North Hero! The cottage was well appointed and stocked with everything you could need! Tiffany was a great host and everything was as described!

We absolutely loved our stay at the lake house! Everything was super clean, and had all the necessities! We loved the fenced in yard for our son, and our pup! They truly have a little slice of heaven here! Beds were comfy & clean, along with all the furniture! Spacious indoors as we did encounter some rain, with lots to do: puzzles, games, etc! We would 100% recommend anyone to stay here & will be staying again in the future!

Beautiful stay for our short trip to Vermont! We were elated when we found such a beautiful cabin that allowed us to bring our two dogs. Amazing views and sunsets. The neighborhood is very quiet and walkable. Very clean with a well stocked kitchen. During our stay, I ventured around Vermont to enjoy the fall foliage and Vermont staples such as Stowe, sugar houses, maple syrup, covered bridges, Smugglers Notch, hikes, maple creemees, and more! Perfect distance away for beautiful fall country drives to enjoy all things Vermont! The islands were adorable and the locals were so sweet. Spent a short time exploring North and South Hero… visited a little antique store and stopped at the roadside bakery DonnaSue Bakes+Cooks…. Highly recommend for some amazing sweet treats! (Check online for hours). Overall, I highly recommend Jennifer’s cabin. They have done a lovely job at hosting their cabin and we would love to come back again sometime!

We were just looking for a place last minute to see the total eclipse without clouds and traffic (and did!), but what a gem we stumbled on here. The sunset view from this place is absolutely gorgeous. The atmosphere outside is quiet and private and inside the cottage is so cozy and charming. You can really feel the history. The inside is much bigger than the images imply. There were four beds ready to use upstairs and two couches downstairs. Linda took great care of us and made sure the fireplace was already going strong when we arrived. Would love to return when we get another chance.

Beautiful secluded surroundings and a peaceful pond. The house is very well kept and well decorated.

Claudia was super sweet, responsive and proactive with the crazy amount of snow that was incoming during our stay. She made sure we were doing ok and that the driveway got plowed. The cabin was lovely and so cozy. Just what we needed for a weekend away with our group. Jay Peak was an easy drive from the cabin. Would absolutely stay again!

This cabin has a breathtaking view of the lake! We enjoyed a card game on the porch and watched a gorgeous sunset. Got to hear birds chirping when we woke up, and the sound of lapping water from the lakeshore. We got the heads up from Tim beforehand that the dock wasn't in, so it wasn't a surprise, but I do wish we had been able to access the lake directly. The spiders inside the cabin (in the kitchen sink) were the most uncomfortable part but we didn't cook or use that sink so we kept our distance. The area was quiet, peaceful, and beautiful to drive through. Highly recommend going to Arrowhead Lodge for a drink & pizza! We're not very outdoorsy people but we love the water. If we were hikers, this would've been incredible because of proximity to Eagle Mountain.

The comfy, cozy, lakeside cottage was a treat! The cleanliness was noted. Really appreciated the washer and dryer. Being on the lake with a western view was special. Beachcombing for seaglass was a lot of fun. Trips to Stowe and surrounds were easy with our GPS. There was evidence of a number of innovations such as driftwood fixtures, cool stairway to the beach, etc. (beach is all stones, BTW). Nancy and Dave were there to meet us when we arrived and showed us around the place well. They made us feel very comfortable. We recommend this home highly.

Heidi's place was the perfect fall getaway! It was the perfect location since it was right next to the lake with kayaks and town nearby. Although there was no wifi or phone service, my friends and I had a great time in the cabin. There were plenty of card games to play and the campfire was very easy to set up as well. The kitchen came fully supplied and we were able to cook all meals easily. The stars were beautiful at night as well. This accommodation was absolutely magical and the best place we could have asked for for a fall break trip.
