Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Franklin County

Deb was wonderful! My wife and were staying for the weekend and Deb made us feel right at home. She was very personable, gave us total privacy, and had very clear instructions and even recommendations of all the wonderful areas to visit including Mills Market 1 mile down the road. Her price was beyond reasonable and I would HIGHLY recommend anyone wanting to stay in the Andover area to stay here! The reviews don't lie, book it now!

My stay at the Red Rose was amazing! Right for the bat the owners were so friendly, kind, generous, and helpful. They even gave me some recommendations of things to do around the area. When you walk in, it feels so cozy and welcoming. Truly a special experience. I got some of the best sleep of my life in their back bedroom. The kitchen was stocked of great cooking supplies that came in handy for me since I love to cook! Came fully stocked with towels, body soap, dishwasher soap, shampoo+conditioner, feminine/masculine products, a coffee bar, and even some condiments + drinks in the fridge! Kevin was amazing with communication all throughout my stay, I was very impressed. If you need somewhere to stay in Rumford, skip the hotels, come straight here and have a peaceful getaway.

Check in was easy. There was plenty of room for 4 adults, 2 children and a dog. It was nice and quiet on a dead end road. Had a fire pit which was great for s’more’s with the kids after a long day. The river was great and the waterfalls were 20 minutes away. There’s a nice park for the kids down by the fire station. Everyone enjoyed themselves and had a great time. All in all it was nice get away retreat. If you enjoy nature and being able to see the stars then this is the spot for you.

Love houses like this-- charming and homey, but clean and updated with all mod cons. Beautiful base for our NW Maine wanderings. Highly recommend!

Adding to the many reviews that say how incredible this place is: an easy commute to Saddleback for those looking to ski (as well as into town and to the lakes, too). Brand new, beautiful place with a fully stocked kitchen that worked well for our three small families to spend a weekend together. Really appreciated the extra touches for children, including the dishes. While the weather was cold and rainy, we were able to all be comfortable and cozy by the fire inside. Thanks to Kyle for the opportunity to stay!

Great little cozy spot, clean, lots of plants and lights. Very comfortable. Nice little spot on the property by the stream. Close to a variety of hikes and waterfalls. Very happy with our stay.

Beautiful place, would definitely return! the area was private and quiet which was what we were looking for. we enjoyed seeing the cattle and sitting outside by the fire pit. our dog had a great time as well. host communicated well and was flexible.

Debi's house was perfect, comfortable bed and she was super friendly. Definitely recommend her house

We stayed at marie’s place because we were checking out a wedding venue nearby. We were right in town and the location was perfect. We arrived later than anticipated and there were notes all around about how to check in, it was so helpful!

Katie was very responsive and her place was perfect for a ski trip. Has everything you need and perfect location to the mountain and lots of restaurants. Would definitely rent again!

I had a great stay at Michael's apartment/condo. The unit was extremely clean, and the kitchen is very well-stocked. It has more than everything you'd need to cook for yourself. And, the view is pretty fantastic, too--it looks right across the valley to Sunday River and up towards Old Speck and the Grafton Notch area. I'd not hesitate to stay again.

Andy’s place was perfect! I stayed here for the Sugarloaf marathon - you can’t find a closer spot to the start line! Beautiful area with tons of trails right on the property. Quiet, peaceful, and very private. I would not hesitate to stay here again!

Awesome spot. The place was immaculate and we’re picky about cleanliness! We usually stay up the road at the nature lodge but wanted to cook our meals this week. Alicia’s kitchen had everything one could need to do so. Loved it- don’t be surprised if we book it up for all of winter 25/26 in advance 🤩

A delightful place to stay. Second time in five years and we loved it. We were on a ski trip to two mountains nearby and we wanted peace and quiet after the ski day. We found it. Superb location, great history, wonderful breakfast place a block away. I can’t say enough good things about this place. We had a lovely stay.

Good location, easy access to the hill by either driving or shuttle. The condo was fine for our group of four. Kitchen had everything to cook for that many. Very comfortable. thanks

We were very happy with Pam's place. it is clean and comfortable and has a cool eclectic vibe. Excellent equipped kitchen, lots of towels in the bathroom. The Hill is very accessible from Pam's place, only a 10 minute drive away. Nice pub with craft beer down the hallway, a nice surprise. Great value for us Canucks, we will be back!

Cute little studio with super easy access to the mountain. Would recommend for a couple but would definitely be tight for a family of 5-6.

This was an excellent condo for us before and after the Sugarloaf road race. It was very clean and welcoming. The hosts were attentive and proactive with information. We would absolutely stay here again!

Awesome condo for a ski weekend and within walking distance to one of the best restaurants and ski bars in town. Quick drive to the mountain in the morning and you are on a lift in a short amount of time. Zach was great and we would stay here again.

We spent a few days at Cheryl’s cabin and really enjoyed our time. Our group of five fit comfortably in the space and we made good use of the kitchen area and the board games available. The location was great, providing easy access to the lifts at Sugarloaf and not too far from a local supermarket.
