Holiday rentals with a kayak in Franklin County

We enjoyed our stay at the Blooming Inn. Richard was attentive and there were some nice touches to help us feel at home. There were english muffins and local jellies, coffee and tea, milk and oatmilk (which is very thoughtful). Shelburne Falls is cute and has some great restaurants within walking distance.

Fantastic, peaceful location, the sound of steam behind the house was lovely, I’ll remember sitting it on the back porch reading after biking, sipping tea and listening To the birds as one of my favorite things. Gregory was a generous, friendly host, thank you!

Charming Victorian on a peaceful street within walking distance of most everything Shelburne Falls has to offer. We stayed overnight in the Rose room, which was quite comfortable and clean. Check-in was contactless and there were no snags. All was spelled out clearly by the host. Thank you, Richard.

This place is a gem! I was looking for an area in a quiet area and this Airbnb was the perfect little nook to crash in. The bed was SO comfy and the Host was very friendly and responsive! She had a wonderful assortment of teas and fresh eggs that you can cook with. I went kayaking in the lake close to their home and it was so beautiful out there. I would say this is the perfect room for someone looking for a quiet nook in the woods!!

Richard place was very charming and has the nostalgic feeling. We stayed only night for my daughter’s ski race trip. Easy check in , check out and less than 15min drive to Berkshire East Ski Resort.

We stayed for an extended ski weekend and Kims place was perfect for our family with three kids. Beautiful home with everything you need for a private relaxing time and horses on-site for the kids. Will definitley be back for our next Berkshire ski trip!

From the moment we arrived, Gregory made us feel incredibly at home. The property in the woods, river included, was truly a unique and breathtaking sight which was both tranquil and reenergizing. He was always quick to respond and we had the most unforgettable stay!

We spent a weekend in this beautiful house in early spring. The house is amazing and has everything you need. The view is amazing and the pond invites you to fish or watch birds. It‘s calm and relaxing. Would love to come back here soon and spend more time. Kelly and Claire have been amazing hosts and a nice contact.

Excellent and beautiful location. Very scenic and tranquil. The location allows you to relax while still being in reach of everything. The unit was very well maintained and clean. All the Amenities of home without the chaos.

Great Lake side cottage charm. Fully stocked kitchen. Lots of fun water toys to use. Great views and peaceful!

Just before we left for our short vacation, Daddy read to Mommy every night from a book about an enchanted April at the “San Salvatore” castle in Portofino, Italy. That was a magical place that touched the souls of its guests. So is the By Still Waters Cottage, which we now call “our San Salvatore” and plan to return to as soon as possible. --Sasha, a German Shepherd Mix rescue from Belarus; a world traveler, I look forward to frolicking again in Moore’s Pond.

This was our 3rd stay at the Cozy Cottage while attending lacrosse tournaments at UMASS Amherst. The location is perfect while offering a much more peaceful and enjoyable setting than any hotel in Amherst. Thank you for another great stay!

This was the best airbnb I've ever stayed at (and I've stayed at a lot)! Everything was as described and the cabin is completely magical. My pup and I immediately felt at home. The cabin is adorable and comfortable and the setting is peaceful and rejuvenating. The cabin is very well-stocked and the host is friendly, helpful and responsive. There's plenty to explore on the property and beautiful town-maintained hiking trails at a park just a short distance up the road. The setting is quiet and a bit remote (just as I'd hoped) and the views are beautiful. The wi-fi worked well. I hated to leave and will dream about this cabin! Can't wait to come back!

This was exactly the quiet, peaceful retreat we were looking for. The sun porch is what sold us (we called it The Nook), and what an absolutely perfect place to sit and read together for a few days! A family of geese came to visit and we got to watch them up close. We loved kayaking on the pond too—it’s an absolutely wild body of water with tons of massive tree roots just beneath the surface, and millions of lily pads. This converted camp is beautifully decorated, clean, and spacious. Extremely relaxing retreat for two people on an anniversary trip.

This house on N Shore Rd in Westhampton is a beautiful refuge in the woods of fairly new post and beam construction - at least that's what I think it's called. The house sits on a small lake/large pond and has a small private sand beach, and on offer were a kayak, rowboat, paddleboat and more. Unfortunately the water level was quite low while we were there due to some ongoing work on the dam - the lake is manmade - but we were warned of that in advance and so have nothing to complain about. We stayed for a week and had a wonderful time. A couple of things to note though - it's really dark at night so be prepared to use your phone flashlight to navigate your way from your car to the house. Also, I was surprised to see curtains on only two or three of the windows, so sleeping-in past sunrise is a little difficult if that's your thing. And lastly, the locks on the back doors were not working while we were there, but it didn't bother us enough to let the hosts know. Overall, very nice!

This cozy lake house was the perfect place for us to stay for a weekend in the area. It was easy to get to, clean, and well stocked with the essentials to have a comfortable weekend. It was in a little cove area off of the main lake, and so peaceful, and the lake was easily accessible with the canoes and kayaks. We loved the bonfire area, the cozy reading nook and the homemade pottery for our morning coffee. Thank you!
