Walk to the Beach from a Quaint and Brightly Renovated House

Design Sea House 2 with unique decoration by Coração Alecrim store. The house has two floors, on the first floor there is a mezzanine. In the Ground floor there is a one toilet and a living room with kitchene. The bedroom have direct sunlight. Outdoor terrace with great sun exposure. The house is in a prime area of the city, near the beach and the mouth of the Douro River. It's a quiet area with many restaurants and bars, a traditional market, and an organic food store. A municipal garden and a bicycle rental shop are close by. Transports: bus, tram, tourist bus and cab. Free parking in the area. We recommend a trip to the city park and if you like to eat good fish or seafood go to Matosinhos city where you find many restaurants. Matosinhos is a land of fishermen.

Miguel’s place was exactly what he put on the listing. The place was fairly central, i always walk around without having to use public transportation. The room has a balcony with the view to a church so it’s a stealth deal without all the hidden fees of airbnb itself. Definitely going here again next time! Very recommended!

We had a wonderful time in Rita, Tiago and Isabel's house. Rita and Tiago were not at home at first and we were greeted by Isabel, who immediately made us feel at home. Every morning, an extensive breakfast was ready for us with bread, yogurt, cheese, coffee and fruit. Isabel offered us her homemade compote and delicious fish stew, which we enjoyed immensely. The room was all we needed, with a nice bed and a clean bathroom. Rita, Tiago and Isabel were all very warm and we felt very welcome. It is the perfect base to go to Primavera Sound or to explore Porto.

When one travels, what counts as luxury is not embossed pillowcases but comfort, safety, electricity that works .... the luxury of an exceptional home and world suddenly opened to you filled with history and all the evidence of lives well and creatively lived. Gardens dense with greenery, induction stove, tea kettles and high ceilings. Hosts happy to engage and just as happy to not, as one needs. So if you want embossed pillows keep looking. If, rather, you want to share a moment of authenticity, you have found it.
