Holiday rentals with a sauna in Fort Augustus

What even to say. This is SUCH an amazing respite. A slice of Highland Heaven. There are 100 apartments in this converted Abbey, which is RIGHT on Loch Ness. It’s beyond beautiful. Playground, pool, outdoor chess, walking trails, all amazing. We had great service from the Highland Clib checking in, with an incredibly friendly front desk worker. Walkable to everything, maybe 4 minutes was the longest walk we had. The local boat cruise is a must. Watching the boats go through the canal was also fun. Basically, incredible. We will be back.

Me and my parents booked this place for a night on the way to isle of skye and had the most amazing experience. The airbnb itself was way bigger than expected and was extremely clean. And then the grounds around it were even nicer. I was initially drawn in by the pool but we ended up spending the whole night in the billiard room that’s in the old refractory. The staff at the club is super nice and gives you a tour explaining all the history of the place while showing you to the room. Fort Augustus is also a really cute town to explore. overall the best place I’ve stayed so far in Scotland!!

What a magical place to spend time relaxing! The abbey and apartments are stunning. With lounge windows facing Loch Ness, a large bathroom with a claw foot bath, a substantial master bedroom and separate twin room, it really was a home from home. Fort Augustus is centrally located, and a beautiful little village. We hired a car and travelled extensively through the Highlands. Glencoe is around an hour away, Ben Nevis around 45 minutes, Inverness around 40 minutes, and Balmoral Castle was 2.5 hours away with a spectacular drive through the Cairngorms. I absolutely recommend staying here as your base. You will not regret it. The only thing I would caution is the apartment is on the top floor. This means climbing 6 flights of stairs. There is no lift, so bear this in mind if you have anyone with mobility issues travelling with you. Jonathan, the host, is fantastic in all his communication. Nothing is too much trouble. We will definitely be coming back!

We enjoyed our stay tremendously. Flew in from the United States and drove up from the airport to Fort Augustus. Made day two easy since we were already in the Highlands. Loved the apartment. Nice room for the four of us and very generous gift basket was waiting. The grounds and view were spectacular. One of our travel mates has an ankle brace, so steps up to apartment were a bit challenging. But we made it. Definitely would return.

My mom and I had a lovely stay at The Highland Club! Pros: -Wonderful property -Good location -Cozy -Well equipped -Plenty of parking -Good home base to explore the area Cons: -Beds were on the firmer side Tip: -Restaurants in the area are limited so I would recommend making reservations.

We found Kathryn very happy to help even out of hours (which is important in remoter parts because you often cant reach your destination until later in the day, often after office hours). She has an excellent knowledge of the the estate, which covers a very large area, as well as the surrounding county, lochs and islands. She is also very good with children and we generally found our stay at the property to be relaxed with three children aged 4, 7 and 10 (something that I was a little concerned about when booking because children like to run around and generally make a noise at times). I would also quickly mention that having a sauna is fantastic when you return from canoeing and/or swimming in the lochs and getting things partly dry!

This place is quite special: the Apartment is in the oldest Part of the converted Abbey. It is very large, nicely furnished with extremely comfortable sofas and beds and has a very nice kitchen and bathroom. But this isn‘t all, there is the swimmingpool, gameroom etc. that you can use - even though the place was pretty full we hardly saw other people and did not hear anything from them in the flat. The absolut greatest thing about the place is it’s location right on the Loch Ness, tranquill and beautiful.

Fantastic stay! Great accommodation, great facilities, restaurant on site and over at the courtyard were fantastic. Hot box spa is a must if in the area!

We had a fabulous stay! Gorgeous flat, fully stocked kitchen. The grounds and public places of the Highland Club were amazing. We enjoyed sitting by peaceful Loch Ness in the evenings, as well as the easy walk into town for shops and restaurants. Highly recommend, and would stay again!

Kris’s Airbnb was the nicest place I have ever stayed at. The location was perfect, with restaurants, a gas station and a grocery store right down the road. The place was beautiful and breathtaking. Couldn’t have asked to stay anywhere better.

My daughter, wife and I recently enjoyed 2 nights at this wonderful property. It exceeded our expectations in a number of ways. Firstly the property was exactly as represented on the site. It was very modern (beautifully appointed), very, clean and well appointed (e.g. Aesop products in every room). The spacious kitchen had the latest and greatest in appliances. What we didn't appreciate when booking was that we could access all the wonderful amenities of the Boath House estate. The grounds on which the house are located are spectacular, peaceful and quiet. The outdoor breakfast/restaurant was superb. And the dining room in the Boath House is amazing. One evening we enjoyed a gourmet 5 course dinner that we will never forget (highlight of our entire trip). And the chef came to debrief us on the entire meal at the end. A truly memorable experience all around.

Great property very well set out and a great location too just a ten min walk from the centre of town! Would definitely recommend!

Great location with wonderful views and outside space, lots of wildlife around, well-placed as a base to to explore the southern highlands. If you're keen to climb Ben Lawers directly from the property, there is apparently a route/path that can be picked up from directly opposite the property. We didn't find it and had a bit of an adventure, but if you can deal with walking along the A827 there is a more sensible route to/from the NTS car park via the nature reserve - Strava heatmap to the rescue! We found the property to be very usable - good cooking facilities (you might want to bring a few of your favourite implements) but the cooker and oven are modern and clean. Good shower, comfy bed and sofa, useful storage space in the kitchen. Perhaps not the last word in modern décor if that's important to you, but all clean and in good condition. Definitely a place to visit by car - don't miss the nearby farm shop at Tombreck on your travels, and it's worth braving the road to Glen Lyon.

We had an amazing stay at Oyster. The house is in a stunning location. It is so peaceful and we also really enjoyed watching the local wildlife from the terrace : ) There are plenty of things to do near the house and also scenic walks right from your doorstep. There were also plenty of recommendations provided by Nina at the house. And the sauna with a direct view of the Loch was the icing on the cake! Thank you for an amazing stay: we definitely want to return for another visit!

The inter home folks were exceptional. One of them dropped off a crib after work when I forgot to order it in advance. The house was beautiful and easy to stay in. Walkable and close to everything we wanted to explore in the Highlands.

The house felt very spacious, homely and peaceful. The sauna was fun and the kitchen was well equipped. There were a group of 9 of us and we enjoyed our stay in this house.

We booked the house for a week as a family of 4 with 2 young kids. Sean place was a lovely place to escape city life and enjoy the peace and beautiful surroundings of the loch Lomond national park. The house itself was super clean and cozy, tastefully decorated and with comfy beds and a well equipped kitchen. The beautiful landscaped garden is a delight too. The views around Loch Earn were stunning and we enjoyed evenings walks in the area deer and goat spotting. The kids enjoyed the fab play park at the end of the lane, a trip to Drummond safari park, ice creams and parks in nearby Crieff and taking our Kayak on numerous lochs. Despite the very mixed weather we spent our days touring the area near and far and relaxing evenings with the log burner and Netflix movie. We would happily return.
