Holiday rentals with lake access in Falmouth

Enjoyed our stay here and had everything we needed. Great location for seeing different parts of Cornwall. Good to have the facilities on site especially the swimming pool which my boys loved.

We stayed for a weekend and it was perfect. A beautiful property in a very quiet and relaxing setting. Hosts provided all of the information we needed. We will certainly return for another visit in future!

A gorgeous house within walking distance of Hayle beach. The house was brilliantly appointed and was very comfortable. Gorgeous views over the estuary enhanced our stay. Annie was a great host - very responsive and informative.

We had a wonderful stay. The house and its surroundings were exactly as described – it really does have the feel of a luxury hotel, but with the warmth and space of a home. It’s beautifully decorated, spacious, and welcoming. The views are stunning, and the beach is just a stone’s throw away – perfect for our 4.5-year-old to walk to. Town is also just a short five-minute stroll away. We’d also highly recommend Highlanes Fish & Chips – only a five-minute drive and well worth it. All in all, a lovely stay. Clean, spacious, fantastic views, and a brilliant location.

We just stayed for 7 nights as a place for the whole family to meet up with two toddlers and three couples. The place was absolutely perfect, super clean and really well equipped - the hosts have though of everything we might need. There is so much space and the addition of the extra living room uostairs was really useful. Nice private balconies. The hosts were really caring, informative and responsive. Thank you for an amazing stay!!!

This was our family’s second stay at what is our favourite spot at Retallack. The lodge, being right on the water, feels peaceful and secluded, but is only a few minutes’ walk to the pool, restaurant and other amenities. Mel is a great host, always replying quickly, and the lodge has everything we needed for our stay. We’d definitely come back again.

Lovely setting, absolutely perfect for dog owners, walks on your doorstep. Local pub did lovely high quality food. Need to drive out all the time but we don't mind this as we like to explore. Host responded to everything we asked. Our barn was spacious and had games to play with lots of room outside to kick a football and table tennis for teenagers, swing ball etc for younger ones. Plenty of parking space and the host stored our trailer which was helpful. Barn was supplied with almost everything you would need for a short stay.

Very much as advertised. It is a good sized house on an estate which is quiet and close to Swanpool Beach (about a 5-10 min walk by a nature reserve). It is a short drive to Falmouth and other good beaches and gardens. We found it really good for 5 adults and 2 pre-schoolers. The owner Mila was quickly responsive in dealing with any enquiries . We enjoyed our stay for the Falmouth Classics sailing event and Sea Shanty Festival.

Overall would recommend!!!! Location of the property is convenient to walk to town & Towan beach. Property is on a main road so the balcony area does feel exposing, but offset by the convenient location. The underground carpark great & secure. Space may be tight for a large car but fine for our Astra. Check-in easy. The parking permit wasn't in the lockbox as advised, but we contacted Aimee & received a response in 5-mins, with the location of a spare permit. The flat was clean, had lovely towels/ linens & all the amenities you'd need. There are a few areas of wear & tear, such as a small rip on an armchair, scuffs etc, but otherwise the property was a high standard. The bathrooms were especially nice. The house manual made reference to Sky TV, PlayStation & sound bar but these weren't available. Aimee advised the Sky TV & PlayStation were removed & would update the listing, but it appeared the sound bar had been stolen so completely out of her control. Great value for money!

Great place to stay. The welcome from the reception team was very warm and friendly. The apartment was exactly as described in the listing and was cosy and comfortable. It was a chilly day when we arrived and it was so nice to walk into a warm room! Everything was clean and fresh, the view across the lake was lovely and it was quiet and peaceful. Check out was very straightforward and quick. I would definitely recommend this place.

We had an amazing time at Ralph's flat in Cornwall. The flat was spotlessly clean and well-maintained, making it feel so welcoming from the moment we arrived. The location couldn’t have been better—it’s just a short walk to the beach, which was perfect for sunrise strolls, lazy afternoons by the water and surfing. Despite being so close to everything, the neighbourhood was incredibly quiet and peaceful. The host was also very responsive and provided everything we needed for a comfortable stay.

Hayley’s place was a great find in a lovely location with views overlooking the boating lake. The guide Hayley sent over was a lovely touch and included some great spots which we visited and were glad we did. Hayley was quick to reply to my messages and has created a tranquil space which is further benefited by a great location. We will definitely be back to stay at Hayley’s again

Sue was a super host, so lovely and helpful. Her space was great and we felt right at home. The location was lovely and peaceful, a great spot to explore from. Sue was very thoughtful and had fruit, milk and even a box of biscuits ready for us on arrival, such a kind touch and much appreciated. We'd definitely recommned staying at Sue's and would love to come back to stay again. Thanks for having us Sue :)

Cosy holiday maisonette in a private holiday village. Good facilities, we enjoyed the pool and tennis. And great views from the top of the hill!

This was exactly what we were looking for. An idyllic little gem. Near to coast and places to visit, and local pubs too. the accommodation was perfect, spotlessly clean with everything you need to be self sufficient. such a lovely setting with perfect view. There were lots of ducks, geese wandering around with lovely babies in tow. The pond was lovely. We took our dog and he didn't bother with them at all. Steve and Karen made sure we were comfortable and recommended local amenities. Would recommend this accommodation as extremely comfortable and everything you could possibly need was provided (including a welcome basket of goodies). thank you 👌

We had a lovely few days here, the cottage is just as cute as it looks in the pictures. You can walk straight out into the surrounding woodlands and over to the nearby cliffs and there are lots of beautiful beaches to visit in the area. Also only half an hours drive to St.Ives. The cottage itself is full of character, beautifully decorated, clean and comfortable. The hot tub is a bonus. It's the perfect place for two newly weds!

We had a lovely week staying at Calcite Cabin. The cabin is comfortable, peaceful and private with everything we needed. We loved sitting in the hot tub listening to the birds singing and our dog loved the enclosed garden. We enjoyed having the watersports centre on site where we used our paddleboard and hired one of the centre's kayaks. We also joined one of the swimming sessions, had a nice lunch in the cafe and watched tiny goslings on the lake. The site wardens were really friendly and helpful. We had beautiful weather so visited local beaches (Kynance Cove and Porthleven are stunning), Lizard Point and had Mexican food at Chimichangas. We also had day trips to the Eden Project and St Ives. We'd highly recommend Calcite Cabin to anyone looking for a peaceful, dog friendly holiday or those who like to be on the water. There's some heathland adjacent to the centre where dogs can be walked on the lead, and down the road is a nature reserve where dogs can go off lead.

A real treasure and TARDIS of a house. I was brought up in Camborne close by but had never visited this area. it was a pleasure to stay in such an old property which has been lovingly renovated to a total show home. Great facilities and fabulous garden which we enjoyed sitting in to have our breakfast under the open porch which was a real sun trap. Thanks for all the little touches which made us feel instantly at home. We could have stayed for much longer.

Great central location for exploring the area, very peaceful and friendly village, would definitely recommend for dog walking

The Coach House was ideal for our extended family get-together. We especially loved the downstairs kitchen-diner, which was the scene of many a joyous banquet during our stay. Scott was really helpful in providing extra freezer space for all the food and drink we brought and my wife was thrilled with the surprise birthday treat from our hosts. The bedroom space was just right for the 6 of us plus baby and we especially appreciated the downstairs accessible bedroom and en-suite. Having lounge space upstairs and downstairs was really helpful when TV tastes differed. Finally, the location was so quiet and pastoral, with such a variety of animals to see and yet it was so easy to get to the numerous attractions we visited around Cornwall in under an hour. We had a brilliant few days at Melissa’s cottage. It was clean and very well presented. The location is not ideal with young children (I had a baby with a pram and a toddler) due to the hilly wall from the main harbour, but other than that it was the ideal getaway for us!
