Isle of Mull, Ormaig self-catering cottage Lochdon

NeilRating, 5 stars2 months ago
What a place to stay!! From the initial booking and super communications with Steve, we’ve enjoyed the best few days in Scotland ever!! The bothy is in the most idyllic location on Mull, but at the same time only a short drive from the ferry terminal. We were met by Steve on our arrival (earlier than expected as the cottage had been free the day before..this gave us half a day extra really!) and showed around the property…wow, wow and WOW!!! The design, the immaculate presentation, the comfiest of beds..an absolute credit to Steve who has put so much thought and effort into such a wonderful place..and the view…well, there aren’t any words!!! We were blessed with beautiful weather whilst spending our few days exploring parts of the island (the bird life is exceptional!!) but if the weather had been different, we could’ve very happily stayed in the cottage just watching the tide roll in and disappear again!! Thankyou so much for letting us stay..we’ll see you again soon!! Jill and Neil

Easdale Cottage

TomRating, 5 stars7 months ago
A great place to stay in a beautiful and unique location. We spent a week on Easdale. Without roads, the island has a bit of a feeling of being an outpost (without actually being remote - it's just 2 mins on the boat that runs regularly all day) and that made the trip just a little different to most. It is so tranquil and not far from Oban, which has all the shops and places to eat you could wish for in this part of the world. Highlights included a day trip to climb Ben Nevis (Dad and 11 YO son - left early and back in good time for dinner, lucky with the weather!), a winter swim in one of the quarries and just general pootling around the small island and enjoying the wonderful views off towards Mull. The house itself is very comfortable, we spent plenty of family time in the living room relaxing. Kitchen is well equipped and Ross the owner was very friendly and helpful during our stay. Highly recommended.

Clean, compact, very comfortable bed, ideal location for what I wanted, well equipped for basic cooking, clean shower and toilet. Quiet and midge-free. The EV charger was a great bonus.

Seashell Cottage

SuzanneRating, 5 stars2 months ago
Such a beautiful cottage in a stunning area! We had everything we needed and Seashell Cottage is honestly one of the nicest and most comfortable places I've ever stayed in. Lovely garden too, where we were able to sit when the weather was nice. Some fantastic walks on the doorstep and you are so near the little boat service that goes to Easdale Island. You can walk all the way around the island in about 40mins, a few safe wild swimming spots if you're brave (we weren't...) Annabel was a marvellous host and there are lots of useful suggestions in the cottage of things to do and places to see, some of which we did do, including lunch at Pierhouse, quick trip to Lismore, Oban harbour for fresh seafood, Cruachan Mountain Resort for a bite to eat. You won't struggle for something to see or do, it's an area I will definitely revisit in the future. Thanks so much Annabel! 😊

An Lionadh, Island House with amazing views

BarrieRating, 5 stars5 months ago
We spent 4 great days at An lionadh. The house sits on top of a small hill with the best views of the sea. Getting to the island is relatively straightforward with the short ferry crossing a bit of an adventure that our kids loved. We were fortunate to visit over New Year and the residents had organised many activities from New Year’s Eve parties to football games and Ceilidhs on New Year’s Day to which they made us visitors feel very welcome indeed. The house itself is very well equipped with everything needed to enjoy a short stay. Overall I would thoroughly recommend An Lionadh.

NEW! 3 bed cosy retreat on Scottish Isle with pub

JeanfixRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Probably our Top 1 cottage in Scotland. Stunning place with an amazing view on the sea, on Ellenabeich and the surrounding hills. Having a coffee at morning time and a glass of prosecco at evening time in the garden enjoying this beautiful scenic place is probably the best therapy to relax and disconnect. Easdale is a very quiet place, inhabited by very welcoming people. The cottage is clean, spacious, well equipped and has the perfect location. Rebecca has been very helpful and very reactive all along our stay. We’ll definitely go back.

Otter Burn Cabin

HannahRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We had a great stay at Otter Burn Cabin! Douglas was super responsive and helpful, and the cabin itself was equipped with everything you could need and more. It was perfectly located for exploring the local area and Mull with the ferry port only five mins away. Plenty of local swim spots which we took advantage of! We would definitely recommend staying here and hope to come back in future!

Countryside Farm Pod on Isle of Seil w/ Views

AllisonRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Fantastic location...close enough to Oban for day trips yet quiet enough for recharging ourselves for the next adventure! The pods were surprisingly sound proof too. Was not woken up by any farm animals or farm activities at all. Our visit was short and next time I would plan a longer stay as the summer season was not yet in full swing and several restaurants and pubs were not open early in the week so plan your meals ahead. Balvicar Stores had plenty of food and produce available for a meal cooked in. As for local restaurants and pubs, we were surprised that many were closed for food early week but you'll be fine if you book later in the week or the weekend and definitely check websites for hours of operation. The Clachan Bridge (bridge over the Atlantic) was amazing and the Tigh An Truish pub with all their history was one reason we came to Seil and the Slate Islands. A must see I feel. Natalie was incredible...always available with quick responses and helpful tips. Thanks so much!
