Cabin holiday rentals in Elizabethtown

The cabin is beautiful. My family had a wonderful time. We can't wait to come back again.

This cabin was absolutely beautiful. It had everything we needed for our stay. It was just my husband, my adult daughter and me, but the space is very ideal for a larger family and very kid friendly. The location was close to Mammoth Cave, Horse Cave, Cave City, and Bowling Green, which were all places we visited while there. We enjoyed the Gothic tour at Mammoth cave and the tour at Hidden River Cave in Horse Cave. The guest contact, Beth, was very responsive to my questions and very sweet at giving us information on the area. The cabin itself is quite out there (in terms of location) but we don't mind that. We don't mind driving a ways in order to get a cabin that is comfortable and offers a nice location. Due to the recent flooding we didn't visit Nolan Lake and some other areas but KY never disappoints. It is a beautiful state and we will be back some day (been there twice now). I would highly recommend this stay. I was very pleased.

This was a great place for a big group. If you plan to make your own food, the kitchen has all the tools, dishes, pan, etc. - everything you need. The saloon was fun and the beds comfortable. Free firewood and a nice fire ring. Be aware that while it was close to the lake it was about a 40 minute drive to Diamond Cave and about 1 hour to Mammoth Cave visitors center. Scenic drive. Also, no restaurants, Walmart or large grocery store nearby that we could find. Some groceries at I65, about 1/2 hour away. We brought our own food and loved to quiet ambiance. I would definitely come back again.

The cabin is spacious and well decorated, so it feels like home from the very first step, and was an excellent place to unwind and reconnect.

I'm 100% recommend her place. The hot tub was absolutely amazing. her response time is so fast and she's very accommodating. next time we come through we will be staying with her again.

We've stayed at a lot of cabins for fall and spring breaks with our kids & this is one of our absolute favorites! Everything was clean & comfortable, the hot tub is fantastic, and the layout of the house worked well for our family (kids in the basement, mom + dad in the upstairs master). There's an incredible amount of deck space (three levels!), and having coffee outside each morning was a highlight for me. The 18-hole disc golf course is a unique feature! My 7-year-old is just getting into disc golf, and we liked that we could just take him out to play a couple of holes at a time after spending the day doing other activities. A couple of things to know: (1) Grocery stores are few & far between in the area, so plan to bring most of what you need with you or to eat at local restaurants while you're out and about, (2) If you're visiting Mammoth Cave, look up information about the Green River Ferry -- not only is it a fun experience but it will save you a ton of driving time.

The Gnome Home was such an amazing place! We enjoyed the week spent here. Heather was an amazing host. We had all the amenities we needed, including more towels than we've ever had at an Airbnb (it was amazing). We loved chilling by the fire pit at night, and watching wildlife during the day (deer, turkey, owls). We can't wait to come back and visit again!

What a great peaceful retreat, not too far away from Louisville. Great to relax with the birds chirping around us and not much else to disturb us! The place had a wide open but warm feel letting in plenty of light during the day. We enjoyed hanging outside on the deck and also took short hikes into the woods alongside the creek - which were so peaceful and nice. The master bedroom was cozy as well to relax in and watch movies. John was very accommodating to meet all of our needs!

The cabin was clean and cozy and perfect for our family of four. The deck overlooking the ponds and pasture was awesome and the kids loved playing out there and watching the cows. We arrived pretty late at night and I was worried that we would have trouble finding or getting into our place but everything was very clearly marked and the whole property has great signage. Speaking of, this property is GORGEOUS. With multiple cabins, a lake, playground and beautiful hiking trail, we think this might be a perfect place for a larger family gathering in the next few years!

If you are looking for beautiful, peaceful scenery, this is your place. Great for doggy vacays too. I took canvasses and painted outside. We didn’t get any bites fishing but still had fun. The kitchen had just about anything you could think of. FYI, the snakes on the porch are fake!! I found out the hard way. I would totally stay here again and the host was prompt in responding.

Tina and Wendell (I think was his name ) . Amazing amazing people . Really enjoyed having them around to talk . Horse shoe pits are amazing . The fire pit amazing . Even the cats were friendly and loving . So peaceful . Tina gave us jar of sauce for our dinner . Would love to come back for visit . Thanks for having us .

The house was perfect for our weekend away! Plenty of space both inside and outside. We went to Mammoth Cave and Louisville from here, and it was a relaxing home base.

The only problem we had was being willing to leave! This was by far the most amazing and perfect place we’ve ever stayed. All our needs were anticipated and met. House and location was perfect!

Our family of 4 had a wonderful stay at Allison's cabin. The location is so quiet, and the accommodations are very spacious. We enjoyed the sitting room upstairs and the absolutely fantastic shower upstairs! The kitchen was well-stocked with everything needed to cook meals, and there were plenty of bath linens as well. We appreciated having a washer and dryer onsite. Allison was great in her communications with us and was willing to accommodate some last-minute changes for our family. The location was central to all we wanted to do in Kentucky while we visited. The house was spotless and very well-organized with nice decorative touches as well. Thanks, Allison, for a great stay!

Coming back home is difficult if you’re not staying with family or friends. Not anymore. The cabin was across the street from groceries and supplies. Loved everything about it, especially internet speed. I always travel with my apple tv and never had a single issue on the big and beautiful display. Will certainly stay here again!

Cozy and comfy cabin, however,no washing machine as indicated in the ad. It matters if you want to stay longer than a weekend. Overall,great place for great outdoors with even greater purpose of supporting and honoring our soldiers.

Our stay started on a disappointing note, and I have to admit I was a bit worried about how the rest of the trip would go. But I have to give full credit to the host for how they handled the situation. As soon as I reached out, they were incredibly responsive and quick to address the issues. Their professionalism and willingness to make things right really turned everything around. By the end of our stay, the experience had completely shifted. The host’s attentiveness made us feel genuinely valued, and one moment, in particular, stood out. My daughter lost her favorite plush toy, and the host went above and beyond to help us recover it. That thoughtful gesture meant the world to us and truly made the stay memorable. Overall, while the beginning wasn’t ideal, the host’s care and effort made all the difference. This was a super spontaneous trip for our family and this cabin was the perfect find at the last minute! The cabin was so clean and quaint located beside the RV lot and tucked away in the woods. Cody was incredibly friendly and flexible with our check in/out. We would definitely stay here again!

We enjoyed our stay very much! The lake was beautiful! We did a little fishing and caught lots of blue gill and a big catfish! The house itself was very clean and had everything we needed for our stay.
